I took some time to redecorate Wyvern Hall in Britechester-U. Normally, all I do is add some needed accoutrements, such as a mini-ridge with microwave atop, and a couple of counters. This time, beyond just that, I decided the whole place needed fresh walls and flooring. Plus, as an added bonus, rather than use the shower stalls I just learned were available, I added a wall in front of both stalls and put in the standard bathroom doors. Lighting, of course was added to each shower stall. Privacy is something I personally enjoy. And why shouldn't my young Global Superstar be allowed to shower in peace? I even added some drapery to make the place look less dour.

This is just a sampling of what I have done. I ended up changing the wall-treatment in the TV room. It's not that blue/gray stuff anymore, but in brown tones, instead. You'll notice there's a banquet table. This is for those occasions your Sims want to throw a party. Since they can't have so much as a hot-plate in the Dorm, this will provide food for the guests. This has just now been uploaded to the Gallery, should any be interested. Unfortunately, it's listed under cc. Can't quite figure out why, since to my knowledge I only used stuff from the packs I own. I do have mods, and Erik does have a contraption combination Karaoke machine and microphone from Road to Fame on his person, but I don't know. If something looks off from the photos below, let me know, so I can change it and re-upload. Thank you. (Just noticed the second half of the dorm isn't sporting window dressing. I must have taken these photos prior to finishing the job. )

Your makeover of the build is lovely! Very great furnishing of each area! The buffet table and fountain are very nice for sims to use. The seating is very nice.

Thank you, but I can't take credit for the furnishing. That's how this Dorm comes. I merely changed the wall treatment and the carpeting, plus added the banquet table, etc.

I did some redecorating of the nightclub "Club Slate". Nothing fancy on the outside but I'm quite please with the work on the inside. Next step is to find out how to make the "2:nd floor" more attractive. The guests do not go up there very often. Chess tables?

I love this idea for a thread! Too bad more people haven't answered and shown theirs. I often just redecorate what is already there, as I like much of the basics. It's fun, and put your touch on things, but still keep with the style. I have also decorated all the dorms, some more, some less, but all of them have a dining table, a thermostat and more things for fun as well as a research computer to make things easier.

My latest redecorating spree was the Caliente home, as it felt too drab for such a colorful family.

Tbh I'm still determining if empty lots count as redecorating, but I've turned Potters Play in willow creek into a lovely cottage.
