    free real estate cheat - SOLVED...3 years ago.

    How do you get it to work? I keep getting command failed.

    The answer to my question was answered three years ago. For those of you who can't be bothered to read the comments here is the answer

    freerealestate on

    NO you do NOT need to have the testing cheats cheat on in order for it to work.

      I use freerealestate on. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

      First you have to use 'testingcheats true', then use the freerealestate cheat. My understanding is that to use any cheats, you have to start with 'testingcheats true'.

      yeah I read that every time you have a new loading screen you need a new cheat entry

      not sure, but I do it anyway...if not the game will tell you its enabled already :)

      Yes, the cheats drop every time there is a loading screen. Means going anywhere is a pain. You have to start all over beginning with the 'testingcheats true'. I really wish they would correct this. It's like they wanted to make this as complicated as possible. /sigh

      I am pretty sure there are mods being developed to address this issue. Check some of the other sites and forums and ask around.

      I had been having problems with that too. I put the 'on' in it and it worked. FreeRealEstate on

      I always thought that you had to enter the freerealestate on cheat whilst playing your sim. Apparently, you can enter it upon moving (before you choose a house). Learn something new every day.

      There is a mod over at mts that makes testingcheats always on.

      An option to that is using MC CMD which also has that option, and a massive amount of other options. :)

      No, you do not have to use the 'testingcheats true' first, in fact if you do the 'freerealestate on' cheat will NOT work.
