Like Egon mentioned, your life span setting may be what's causing longer. Do you have the game set on long life span? If so, a sim would normally age up 1 day after their bar is filled up but this becomes 3 days on the long age span setting.

I feel your pain. I'm not a rotational player but I have a ton of sims that I've created and use to populate my worlds. Working on getting a new game set up and it's taking a longgggg time to add hot & cold outfits for everyone plus toddler swimsuits.

Games are generally made to appeal to as many people as possible....not eat up their development budget by adding things that only appeal to very small numbers of people. It would be impossible for them to add every thing that someone may want to use as a custom option in a game.

Sims time has never been precisely equal to real-life time. Pretty much any task in the game takes longer than real-life. It doesn't take an hour and a half to eat a salad in real-life or 10 hours to bowl a game. My puppies always eat on their own....puppies don't need to eat as much or nearly as often as adult dogs though. My adult dogs will finish an entire bowl when they eat....the puppies don't even eat half a bowl.
