  • I hate Disney Star Wars with a fiery passion. This pack is a hard pass for me.
  • I'm going to pass on this pack. Knitting doesn't interest me at all, and the pack seems light in content otherwise. I love the one hairstyle, but can't see buying a pack for one CAS item.
  • Good riddance to auto-roofing. It's ten times easier to get a good looking roof in TS4, and it takes less time to do it. TS3 roofs were a disaster.
  • It's associated with Buzzfeed, so I won't waste my time watching it.
  • I won't support anything that has a connection with Buzzfeed.
  • I'm over the franchise, to be honest. Tired of TS4 and not planning to buy the SIms 5 if it is online as rumored. I'm hoping Paralives will be decent enough to let me scratch my creative itch in build mode. If that aspect is as good as the teasers, I don't really care whether the gameplay is good. if I have robust tools to…
  • If I understand correctly, a lot of EU countries have VAT tax. VAT is added at every stage of production, so things in Europe can be substantially more expensive. However, VAT taxes usually replace income taxes, so pick your poison.
  • My guess is it's just a glitch. We aren't really "supposed" to zoom that far out. I doubt it's a meaningful Easter egg, because the objects are so random.
  • One of the reasons I've decided to stop buying TS4 packs is the increasingly poor performance of the game, even on a fairly beefy gaming rig. Tbh, I think they've overextended the capacity of the game engine by a few-packs-too-many at this point.
  • I won't play without MCCC and a few other quality-of-life mods. I'm very selective about CC. There are a few creators whose content generally looks good in the game and doesn't cause problems. I don't like alpha hairstyles so I mostly play with MAXIS hair, and only use MAXIS match when I want some variety. I don't go…
  • Present piles give infinite gifts, but there seems to be a cooldown. I'm speculating they designed it that way so that players can use the presents on their own holidays. The gifts seem to be low-value items, so it isn't gamebreaking to me. I'd recommend removing them when playing challenges, though. I think father…
  • I wouldn't call it an essential pack, but it's probably worth the sale price. I like the hair and clothing options for CAS. The climbing wall isn't the most practical object for most builds. It's cool but tricky to fit because of its size. The other fitness equipment is more-of-the-same, but I use it in my builds. Value in…
  • Even if I liked the lackluster content, I wouldn't buy this pack. Buying DLC for DLC is a bridge too far for me. First pack in the sims history that I've refused to buy on ethical grounds. Don't get me wrong, I've skipped content in the past because it just wasn't my thing. But this pack actually felt a bit wrong to me.…
  • MCCC is essential, and I have a few quality of life mods that fix broken features in the core game. I don't use a lot of mods that add features. I use a moderate amount of cc. Mostly clothing because I don't like alpha hair. I periodically clean out my CC and go vanilla when my collection starts to get bloated.

  • Maxis Match hair is harder to create. Not many creators can do it from scratch. Some decent content exists, but it is definitely harder to find than alpha hair.
  • I don't use much CC hair lately. I've used both types in the past, though. I don't like the way most alpha hair looks in game. I've also had a lot of issues with it. At this point I've seriously reduced the amount of CC I have in general, though.
  • It's not just your play-through. All toddlers/kids do this interaction constantly. On the positive level, Kids actually play in the parks now. It makes it much easier to complete the social aspiration, but the parks are constantly a mess. Even kids with maxed out responsibility do it constantly. Plus side, they get some…
  • Some objects are "stickier" than others, and sims will prefer using them if autonomy settings allow it. Club behaviors and lot traits can force certain behaviors too. For example, the Homey lot trait will cause sims to repeatedly queue up objects on the woodworking bench. These behaviors tend to be more annoying than game…
  • I'm still not sold on the pack. I think the core features are improved over the laundry in TS3, but laundry doesn't interest me that much. As a builder, I find this pack content light for the price. One window and two doors plus some deco. The new hairstyles don't differentiate themselves from those in other packs. Same…
  • The problem with using cheats is that earned skills and traits don't always carry over by that method. If I've taken the time to max out the skills/ aspirations, I don't want to lose out on the reward for doing so. My big complaint is that this mechanic is more complicated than it needs to be, and that the extra complexity…
  • Skipping homework won't make them fail. It might slow down progress but they can still get an A without it. It just takes a little longer. Using "Study hard" and focused moods seem to have a bigger impact than homework. Sometimes logging out can reset glitched items. If you rotate. Logging in to a different household and…
  • Nothing personal, but I stand in full-throated opposition to the thought of any more life stages. The pre-YA portion of the game is already way too long, and the parenthood pack made the childhood stage painfully annoying. At this point I just want to age them up as quickly as possible. The thought of adding even more time…
  • It's not an obvious hint to anything. They just released some Australian themed holiday items in the free patch, and since this is a holiday sale announcement, and directly features the holiday items just released, it would be speculative to use this as evidence of new and as yet unannounced future content. I'm not against…
  • Second and third cousins can legally marry in most places IRL. It might make for awkward family gatherings in the west, but it wouldn't raise an eyebrow in some places. Even first cousins are considered ideal marriage partners in more than a few non-western cultures. Our cultural preferences are not the norm globally or…
  • Welcome to the forums, if belatedly.:) The member requirements help to keep down spam and trolling, so they serve a purpose. My account sat inactive for something like 4 years before I actually started posting and got member.
  • If you don't mind using mods, MCCC has a few options that suppress unwanted vampire interactions. Vampires can't turn sims involuntarily, so you won't be overrun with them like we were in TS3 supernatural. Vampire lore skill is easy to level up through books, and if you put some garlic braids in your house, vamps won't be…
  • The laundry pack is kind of meh, so I'm not planning to buy it, but I'm still glad that those who want laundry can have it. I just hope there isn't a massive pre-patch that breaks a bunch of stuff for the rest of us. I'm not particularly keen on stuff packs this late in the development cycle. I'll probably hold off until…
  • If you aren't opposed to mods, MCCC has a "kill sim" cheats that allows any death to be used on demand. Some sims had immortality bugs, but they were supposedly fixed a few patches back. Most reliable way to catch fire w/o cheats is to low skill cook while in a bad mood, or to use the unupgraded DJ booth from Get Together,…
