@creativemetaphor OH. MY. GOSH. The house looks so amazing! I'm really digging the exterior color scheme. I love the master suite, dining room, kitchen and living room especially - incredible job!!
Ok so @MiaSkywalker I walled off the wonky CFE area, but now I'm having trouble placing stairs. I tried spiral as well (but didn't get a picture before my game crashed :( ) Ignore the random line in the top left, I fixed it right after taking this :) P.S. Sorry I'm so slow... :#
I use CFE a lot for modern houses, but I tend to try to avoid it on the upper levels specifically to prevent those glitchy walls. I did make sure the combined wall height of the two levels that serve as the second "floor" matches the height of one full size wall, so I shouldn't run into too many problems in terms of object…
Here's the view from the front: Looking at the build, I realized I used a lot (maybe too much :# ) CFE trying to make the front look good. Here's all the "walkable" levels so you can see: There's really only 2 stories, but I used 4 levels of wall on them. As I was fixing a couple things, I noticed some pretty terrible…
Thank you all so much for your well wishes and being understanding, it really means a lot. <3 @MiaSkywalker I had started a build for you a while back. It was a tavern/inn sort of thing, but I hadn't started on the interior yet. As soon as my game loads I'll show you what I have so far.
Hi guys, I'm so sorry I haven't been active... I was trying to get back to school (I'm a student), and my make up work was taking up most of my time. I had some complications with my recovery, and I've really been struggling pain wise. I haven't felt able to do anything, really, but I'm slowly improving. I know that this…
@creativemetaphor That looks so cool so far! Already really loving the outside. One tip for the stairs (although it seems you've figured it out on your own :)): I often leave a 4 by 4 room for split level stairs, then put single width half-height stairs in the center so the walls don't do that crazy thing.
After fiddling around with CFE for way too long, this is what I ended up with: Honestly, I'm really not liking it as of now, and it's pretty late to be restarting... Does anyone have any tips for me? P.S. so sorry I haven't been able to spend much time on this recently, after being out to have surgery I have a lot of work…
@MiaSkywalker You had said earlier that this- -reminded you of an inn. Seeing as I don't really play medieval style games in the sims, I don't really know what to include in an inn, or what type of lot to even make it! I'd really appreciate any pointers you have for me...
Modern would be great! My only preference for floors is more than one, I'm not the biggest fan of large, single story homes. But other than that and the things I already mentioned, I don't really have a preference :)
Hey @MiaSkywalker, It looks like I'm building for you next! What sort of build are you looking for? I looked at your entry, and you mentioned medieval homes with "storefronts," but I'm wondering what specifically. (Disclaimer: I'm not sure how well I'll be able to pull off a medieval build, but I can definitely give it a…
Thank you! (for checking it in Custard too, it totally slipped my mind :# ) <3 So glad you like it! (sorry I forgot to check it for errant CC. Since I rarely use it I forget to check files, especially if I'm using a new TS3 folder) Thank you!
Finally, since I'm a full member, I can actually post these links! Here's my build for @Kgaff! It's a country/ranch style house with a small barn(ish) in the back for a horse. It's built on a 40x40 lot, which as I was putting the finishing touches on it I realized it was quite big... Sorry about that. I guess it…
