I found this really interesting so I worked it out too! I've played since the beginning and have all packs and I got the collectors edition base game. I've only bought one pack on special :# All up I've spent: $999.64AUD Total hours spent playing: 3596hrs So for me its about .27c/hour of entertainment

Update... Second Optimist completed the painter extraordinaire and Freelance Botanist aspirations. She also made some good progress in building the Tardis and it's disguise. Oh dear... I tried living off the grid and it didn’t go so well. Not sure how I managed to not get my Sim started on the right foot but she ended up drowning :# Back to the beginning for me :D

I've finally finished the challenge! I kept going until the Butler died and it was still tough to finish - it was most definitely a race to the end for the poor Butler! paint a couple of paintings, decorate, paint, decorate :D Some areas are still not quite what I wanted.
