I feel like legacies died after 2014

Comments

  • 1435! :)
  • Hm... I'm currently living in the south so I guess biscuits + gravy, BBQ, and sweet tea are popular, though I don't care for meat or sweet beverages, so I suppose I may not be the best judge of great Southern food. :D
  • Does anyone else have tips? :)
  • I love Island Paradise, but it's so buggy and laggy on my computer that I can't utilize the world, which disappoints me. IP has some of my favorite CAS and buy times, however so I'd probably still buy it because of that, though I do wish that they'd released it as a stuff pack instead. After that, I could probably go…
  • Here are a few I like that aren't on the list: http://simplicaz.tumblr.com/ - Lots of cutesy YA/A female clothes and a few girls' clothes that are adorable http://pickypikachu.blogspot.com - She has things for TS3/TS4, there's EA reconversions (base game conversions, a few maternity edits, TS3 to TS4 and vice versa, etc.),…
  • You're welcome, I hope that they're helpful when/if you start your blog! I got the hair from TSR, here. It's by Nightcrawler/Darko, who has a ton of amazing retextures; they're one of my favorite CC hair creators. :)
  • I agree! Legacy blogging is one of my hobbies; I do it because it's entertaining and knowing that I've published something that I've put my best effort into makes me proud, which is a reward in itself! I also feel more confident publishing a chapter when I'm proud of it and if/when people read my writing or leave little…
  • @dreamerz13 It's impossible to have perfectly impeccable grammar every time you write something; I agree, we all make mistakes, I know that when I start writing sometimes my mind thinks faster than my fingers think, so I think that having an extension would be great! :) I also found a grammarly extension for Firefox (which…
  • @Lizzie1234 I'm glad that this thread is helpful, I know that sometimes it's best to use 'said', however it can be a bit tedious reading it over and over again, especially when words like 'groaned', 'exclaimed', or 'spat' would have provided a better description/context+ I agree, having a creative signature that links to…
  • Here's the link: http://withloveasims3legacy.blogspot.com/2015/04/four-tips-for-first-time-legacy-blogger.html :) I don't play the game in full screen mode so that way I can have a word document open and I can also write notes or parts of chapters when I'm inspired to, maybe that'll help?
  • I have a relatively short attention span, however I managed to finish my first legacy a few months ago and am currently preparing to begin the second generation of my second legacy. I find that blogging helps me stay motivated, because if I don't play I can't publish anything + I'm not fond of admitting that I'm quitting…
  • If you're interested in legacy blogging, I wrote a post about it on my legacy blog that I could link to (I don't mean to self promote, haha, sorry :) ). Are you playing by any rules or are you just trying to make it to ten generations? Whenever I start a legacy, I get frustrated because my Sim doesn't have any money and…
  • I second this, I have a mediocre, older computer (I got it in between 2007 and 2009, I'm not sure when exactly), so the Sims is rather laggy for me and I have trouble finding custom worlds that run smoothly, however Evansdale County by MSR runs like a dream and it's also a gorgeous world. :)
  • You could have one of the Sims become a kleptomaniac, at night they could secretly steal things and begin their own Lunar Lakes black market, as the demand for stolen goods grows, they start their own crime ring. Their partner grows suspicious because they're never home and also buying lavish products (big screen TVs,…
  • There's several yoga related custom content items you can download, if you're alright with downloading CC. If you go to My Sims 3 Blog and type "yoga" into the search bar, there seems to be lots of options. When it comes to EA made content, I'm not aware of anything that hasn't already been listed. :)
  • I love legacy challenges, they're incredibly entertaining (and the only challenge I've been able to stick with and complete). :) Good luck!
  • Hm... I think I have maybe six? I have one for my current legacy, one for my former legacy that I cannot bring myself to delete, one for a failed challenge/story blog, one so I can edit Monte Vista, one for Sunlit Tides, and then I think I have a random tester save. I only play my current legacy save, however there are…
  • Here's a list of my favorite sites, I have it organized my type of content, like makeup, clothing, decor, etc. :) I hope it helps! (I'm linking to my blog instead of copying/pasting the list because when I pasted it, it didn't include the hyperlinks and there's 25+ of them and I thought it might take too long to add them…

  • I agree with the commenters above; I don't follow the legacy rules to a T, I use them as base guidelines and tweak things as needed for the story (as demonstrated in my second legacy), provided that I'm not making things incredibly easy (i.e. I don't use motherlode or money cheats).:)
  • Did you know that I've never seen all of The Lion King?
  • Anything by the Mowgli's  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tGMVuj41SI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RZqPq1-1Tw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weEYg6L-WXU
  • Thesewinged eyeliners made by Gosik (over at TSR) look similar.
  • yesterday; I had to analyze a letter someone had printed out for me. When was the last time you binge watched a TV show?
  • I cannot believe that something created by a Simmer grew so large! I'm gratefully that he created the challenge rules; without them my newest legacy challenge (http://withloveasims3legacy.blogspot.com) wouldn't be able to exist! :)
  • I think sixty-ish maybe eighty-ish, I once attempted a 100 Baby Challenge (it grew rather tedious and dull after awhile), but it was two years ago, so I don't really remember. :)
