That's what I figured. Thank you for taking time to check into it! It makes sense why it doesn't work now. I'll just have to use a ladder for this particular house. I just loved the look of the stairs.

@DeanXeL this is very interesting but doesn't work for my particular problem. That stair glitch is really annoying. Another workaround that works is moving the stairs temporarily and then deleting the "invisible" fence piece that is blocking the sim from walking the up the stairs. Please oh please can you find a way to fit in a big comfy couch with throw pillows and maybe even a throw blanket to hang on the end with lots of neutral color options. I'm playing it on my husband's computer now with no lag so that's good. I think I may try some of the ideas you all have talked about on my computer. He has a dedicated graphics card. Not sure if that's what makes the difference or not.

Yep... That whole rollercoaster scene is very similar to a recurring nightmare I had as a child. Okay so in Sims 4, do you have to place the painting for the clown to show up or is he just random? I've seen a few sad townies with the hairstyle but no clown.
