No School/Work after Holiday Event

Hi I hope this is the right forum.
I have a problem with Sims4 Seasons and holidays. I made a couple of new holiday events on the calendar but found my sims then won't go back to school/work the next day even though it is not a holiday on the calendar. It is also happening with holiday events that are on the calendar anyway - like Winterfest etc. I have removed my mods folder to the desktop and tried the game completely mod free but it is still happening. I'm getting a bit fed up with my sims being at home all the time. The only work around I have found is to evict them from the house then put them back in. Although this works for a time - at the next holiday it starts all over again. So far my sims havn't been to school/work for the whole winter. This also means that all my relationships and geneology is lost in the eviction process. Anyone have any ideas for making this stop please?

Hello
Repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair

Try removing the localthumbcache.package file from the Sims 4 folder and see if that helps

I tried both your suggestions Rosemow without any mods in the game at all. I went back to a previous save which was the Winterfest holiday. I had the winterfest celebrations and in the evening it said school in so many hours and work in so many hours .. and I thought.. wonderful, it's working! All was well until the next morning when it came to school time - then it suddenly switched to Holiday.. and the kids were once again off school! Also, my sim that was due to go to work it said 2 hours to work.. then suddenly the same - switched to Holiday. I was devastated as I just don't know what's causing this. All my sims are once again at home.. it's getting sooo boring having them home all the time and I'm not earning any money

Hi posted on the thread and tried the workaround - was interesting to know a method for disabling a pack if nothing else! I disabled seasons but .. when I went back into my game it said my sims were still on holiday eventhough there is now no calendar with holidays for them to have! .. Going to work through another day to see if it readjusts itself the next day.

I hope that it readjusts itself for the next day. Try also having your sims travel to another lot and back, and see that helps the issue.

Well I tried the workaround from the forum you suggested - disabling seasons temporarily and it seemed to work. They are now going back to school/work but I won't be setting any more of my own holidays (as that's what seemed to trigger this) until I have more information. Only other thing I noticed was - New Year's Eve holiday it said I could set resolutions but I clicked on all the sims and there was nothing available -also - said new year would be available on T.V. after 11pm but it wasn't. There was just the normal channels. Other than that I am just glad to have my game and my Sims family still in tact! Thank you so much for the help Rosemow - if it does happen again i'll try the travelling to another lot to see if that works, although I did move them completely to another world but it didn't reset for that.
