    quick question about downloading the patch?

    Can I keep my mods folder in when installing new patch/expansion pack or take them out? I have always kept them in and never had a problem but now I'm seeing some suggest to take them out. Does it really matter?

      Maxis automatically disables the Mods folder, so I just leave it be. I only play with CC though. I think if you play with Mods, then they recommend that you take them out prior to updating.

      well, my mods and CC are all in the mods folder. So it should be ok then
