Magnolia is inactive after installing GTW

Hi, I installed GTW but I can't get into Magnolia. I repaired the sims 4 but it doesn't work. No Mods, No CCs..100 percent vanilla version. I started with a new household from CAS but Magnolia is still not active. Is there a way to fix this?

Try Game Repair in Origin.

Hello
Try logging into Origin, click on the sims 4 picture in Games Library, then click on the expansion pack tab that is half way down the page. Check that it shows that GTW is installed. If it isn’t, try downloading and installing it again.

I installed it 3 times but all the same. Also I asked my sim to get a job on phone. There was NO get to work profession on popup careers. I'm planning to remove all the sims 4 stuff in Regedit and reinstall everything newly. But is there a way to avoid some packs? It's always annoying that the packs automatically are installing when starting a game. I really don't like vampire pack and pets but they always try to install automatically after finishing all installations but vampire and catsanddogs.

Hello
You need to install all the packs, but after they are installed if you would prefer not to have some of the packs in your game, you can disable the packs. This link explains how to disable packs

If you are planning to uninstall and reinstall the game, it would be best to first make a backup copy of your sims 4 folder and put it on an external drive or on amother part of your computer.

I tried this tip a couple of months ago but it didn't work.

Of course, I changed the name of the sims 4 folder in Electronic Arts folder to other name to backup, Thanks.

Thank you. I tried this one but it didn't work either. But I downloaded some mods for stopping sickness, vampire invasion etc.. so now I'm going to install all packs. ::) I appreciate all mod creators! Also I appreciate your help too.

I hope that the reinstalling helps with your GTW issues.
You could also first try starting another fresh new save game and test to see if Magnolia Promenade is also missing in that game
Make sure that you have quite a lot of free space on the drive where you have sims 4 installed.

I started a new game after installation everything but I got this message and still Magnolia is not available.

I repaired the sims 4 in Origin but still not working. It's a totally new game, so no mod, no cc at all.

Could you please post your DxDiag info here.
To gather a DXDIAG on your computer, do this :
Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
Type dxdiag in the text field
Click OK
Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report

After you have saved your dxdiag info on your computer, go to the pastebin site https://pastebin.com
and copy/paste the dxdiag info into the white box there. Press the button to create the new paste/pastebin text file.
Then post here in this thread the web address of your dxdiag info that is on the pastebin site

With your computer being an IMac, it may be best to post about your issues on a thread in the Mac section of the forums. I am not sure if the issue is connected with you being dual boot with Windows and Mac.

I am going to ask @phoebebebe13 to see if running on boot camp may cause this issue, of GTW not being installed even though it says it is installed. It may be how the drive has been divided off that is causing issues.

It worked on bootcamp. I had no problem before. It doesn't work only this time. I don't know why. I always have been playing the sims 4 on bootcamp.

One more thing is that Pets world and Forgotten Hollow are not available too. I installed every packs I have today. Also No pets, vampire and get to work items in buy/build mode.

I am so sorry that Brindleton Bay and Forgotten Hollow are not there also

There seems to be some issue that is preventing the packs/worlds installing.

Ahh finally I found what caused this error and I feel so silly! In Origin, it said I have all packs installed but still some pack worlds are not active. I decided to change the language English to my mother tongue, Korean and opened the sims 4 properties and found this!

I set this to stop installing GTW, Vampires and CatsnDogs a couple of months ago. But after setting this, I got the same message,"Installing packs" in main menu, so that's why I thought it didn't work. I hit my forehead! I removed only EP01 from there.

Now I got GTW Tutorial.

@rosemow just for future reference bootcamping windows runs like pc windows however it's still a Mac computer so posting in the Mac section would be best.
