Auto unsubscribing users from email notifications

I think that it would be great if email notifications preferences were automatically turned off if you haven't logged into the forum for a while.
Personally, I've turned off all forms of email notifications since cleaning out 600 emails but it's something to consider for inactive users.

My apologies for the spam
When we enabled email notification, by default only notifications for direct/private messages should have been enabled. What exactly did you get email notifications for (bookmarks, @mentions etc.)?
