Elders need more activities plus a nursing home .
We should be able to move freely with babies all while keeping all interactions available, toddlers and above should react/interact with babies and send them on vacation with families.
Teens/children should have more rebellious options (sneaking out), romantic/friendly interactions and parties: sleepovers, tea party, costume party, proms, graduation party etc.

I voted for elders. There's really nothing to distinguish them in personality at all and they just fade into the woodwork. They need activities and special conversation choices and more unique animations. Plus, I'd like more hair and clothing selections and facial wrinkles and imperfections that we can select.

My second choice would be teens, just to give them more rebellious activities and punk hair styles and clothes. Plus, I'd really love if we could have more instruments added so I could have a teen garage band.

I don't care at all about babies because they don't do anything anyway, I feel like it would be a waste of development time, and the toddler stage is great so that's enough for me.

they could have things like "tell story from the old days" or "share memories" > things that you do with your grandparents.

The problem is that you can't assign too much to babies, they are supposed to be newborns after all. If you try to give them too much game play, like crawling, you edge to far into the toddler category and then the devs won't want to update babies to be a version of toddlers that they have already put so much work into.

I think the most we should ask for in order to stand a decent chance of getting it, is to cut the umbilical chord between a baby and a crib. If babies stayed essentially the same, with the exception of new burrito wraps via colors and/or patterns, but were able to be taken from the crib to a changing table and a rocking chair, but not out of the nursery itself, then they might be more willing to throw babies a bone.

I don't think we need to create them in CAS, after all, babies are created from the CAS DNA from the parents, a thing we may not do ourselves. When I create kids or teens, I never do it via DNA of the parents, I just click the kid or teen stage and create them myself with no DNA from either parent. There might be a physical resemblance, like red hair, but, other than something like that, the offspring may as well be adopted. Newborn babies are the only real offspring in my games.

I do think it would help greatly to give the effect that babies are more than just objects, if they gave us things like furniture, wallpapers and the such to create a baby nursery in a house. Right now, all we have is the crib itself which we don't even get to choose. Add in plain and fancy cribs with changing tables and other baby nursery furniture and decor.
You just assume their newborns since the game did such a horrible job on them creating a lifeless object that does nothing and hops out of the bassinet walking. In reality babies should fill in the gap of the first year in the Sim life in which a lot changes happen in that time they do not remain newborns for long. If you play with aging off or a long life span 12 days is a pretty long time to have absolutely no development its just strange.

I used to really enjoy babies in TS2 but I'm never really bothered about them in TS4. The crazy thing is in going back to TS2, I realised the babies there can't actually do much, there isn't much to them, it's just simple things that make them well done. I want babies free from the bassinet, the ability to leave the house with them would be amazing. Family days at the park with baby in a stroller, family vacations without abandoning the baby, living above a retail shop without being the worlds worst parent when baby lives in a different house. I want changing tables, rocking chairs and play mats. I want to multitask while holding the baby rather than just leaving the baby upstairs alone all the time. I want to wash the baby in the sink or a baby bath. I want cribs and an actual choice of them at that. As for developmental milestones, you could always have early ones such as learning to roll over, learning to sit and learning to hold a bottle to feed themselves. In real life a baby is an expensive and time consuming addition to the family, in the game I barely notice they're there and I want that to change. I also think a baby should have some sort of hidden trait that makes them act differently. A fussy baby that cries a lot, a content baby that is easier to look after, a baby that always cries when put down, a baby that constantly wants to be fed. Babies could be so much better than they are right now.

Teens are already awesome tho. I really wish elders were improved before anything else...

if teens were so awesome why did they list them :p

they should just make a generations pack, that way everyone gets something.

its not like this games does not need more

at this point babies and elders need improving the most, seen as both have been completely ignored .

Even if we only got one new interaction for babies, say "carry around" , a toy or swing, and cribs they could see out the sides of instead of bassinets, that would be an improvement.

in a patch maybe but I wouldn't pay for a pack with just carry around :o

    baby dresser
    Baby intercom
    baby bouncer
    baby stroller
    baby bath
    toys

    ect ect

I wouldn't either, actually. Hm, actual baby clothes would be nice. And baby blankets now that there's Seasons. Babies should be kept warm even if we never gain the ability to take them outside.

Elders! I would love to see elders get more options and specific gameplay.

I honestly could do with less interaction with the babies. :/ I don't want more. I'm surely in the minority here, but babies. I can't.

    But elders! Yes.

I really like the teens also, so that would be great, too.

For me it would be babies, elders, teens. I hate they you can't do anything with them except and feed and change diapers. There are SO many milestones that first year and I wish that would be reflected in the sims.
    Babies:
Carry around / baby wear with a carrier
Cloth diaper option for the eco friendly family
    Bath
Learn to roll over and tumy time on a play mat
Rocking chairs for rocking them to sleep
    Sing lullaby interaction
    Traits for babies
Bumbo seat to learn to sit up
    First baby food/learning to eat
Walk or jog around neighborhood with stroller
More sibling interactions, let children and teens sing to and play with baby, teens can change diapers, it would be a good segway into a babysitting part time job that's not a rabbit hole.
    Changing table
    Actual crib
    Baby monitor
    Swing
    Interactive mobiles
    Crawling
Let mom's sit down to breastfeed/bottle feed because as a breastfeeding mom I sure as hell don't stand and do it. This would be a good rocking chair interaction.
    Rattles/baby toys
    More clothes
    Blankets
Chance of getting puked on after a feed, which decays both babies and parents hygenie.

    Elders:
Canes, especially to shake at or hit other sims with.
    Bingo
    Casino
Better reactions and a LOT more interactions to family, such as when their kids are having a baby, when they are around their grandkids, etc.
    Ballroom dancing
More wrinkles and skin blemishes, old age spots, etc.
    Knitting skill
Shouting at people to stay off lawn
    Show off grandkids
    Show of family pictures
Random visits to kids and grandkids, with or without presents.
    Give parenting advice
    Day center
Be able to babysit grandkids while parents are at work/out on a date
Teach grandkids how to bake cookies, etc
    Reminisce/ remember good ole days
    Newspapers
Clothes geared towards elders (think 1920s to 1960s)

    Teens:
    Very first kiss
    Pranks
    Garage band
    Rebellion
    Sneaking out
    Breaking curfew
    Mood swings
    Crushes
Teen oriented venues - comic book shop, they can play games like D&D, board games, card games, etc
Teen only parties with spin the bottle, etc
Sleepovers with friends- mani-pedis and makeovers for girls, multiplayer game tournaments, burping/farting contests for boys, talk about crushes, etc.
That's all I can think of right now, lol.

No one has yet given any suggestions that would make me want to play with babies for longer, and not age them up to the terrible twos. :/

I don't think anything could beat washing them in the basin, and leaving them to dry on the floor, among the rancid bottles...
