Anyone else miss sending your sim to College?

«13
I do! I miss spending time with my sims while they get their degrees so they can start their careers about half way so up the ladder in their careers. Is that ever going to happen?

'Course it's going to happen. It's been a consistent pack in all of the Sims games. I like to think they're just taking the time to make it better than it's predecessors. My all-time favourite EP, eternally, which is weird considering I scrunched my nose at the opportunity to apply to uni myself. Haha!

I loved University! It was among my favorite Sims 2 expansions, but I'd welcome a more expanded version of it. I admit, after the first few times, running Sims through it got monotonous. I would have liked to see more majors and a few more college activities.

I loved it in TS2, but didn't like how they changed the progress bar in TS3. I mean, come on, you can't study, be in class or build skills 24/7. Sims need to sleep, eat and take a ...
The meter should be stopped or at least slowed during, say midnight to 6am to give their poor brains a rest to be slave driven the next day.

I really enjoyed the idea of it in TS2, although it got pretty tedious as they become skilling stations for my sims basically. I just can't wait to see what they do with it. Especially now that our sims needs aren't as hard to keep up with in my opinion anyway.
I want University more than Seasons.. but think I have a wait to get it.

I really want a Uni EP. I loved sending my Sims off to college in both Sims 2 & 3. I miss it a lot. Plus this would be a great opportunity for adding in some new traits which we desperately need about now.

I miss doing this, it was my favourite part!
If this happens I want scholarships, if you did REALLY well in high school.
A term should be at least 2-3 weeks.
    A career as a lecturer.
    More types of classes!
2 or more universities that 1 of them you have to be real smart for etc.
    College themed outfits and hair-.
On campus jobs and concert-type places.
Cheating gets more advanced, for example you see your character in class and choose when to cheat etc.
    Can get kicked out.
More groups like in sims 3.
Group projects where the teacher chooses the group and you have a deadline and such.
    Home visits between terms.

These are just a few thoughts, I really hope this expansion happens!

P.S you can also get trashed AF (drunk) and get hangover.
Drugs could be a thing but that's a bit too edgy?

I think I sent my Sims to university (maybe) 3 or 4 times, while playing Sims3 - though one would die while trying to steal from the vending machine.

If they have an application come in the mail (instead of the annoying mascot), I'd be all for a University Pack. Something about that mascot just rubbed me the wrong way!

I also used the University furniture A LOT for my "rags to riches" type of games! They'd also eat lots of Mac and Cheese to make it seem more authentic. At least until they got rich enough to get better furniture (and I expand the menu).

Dorm furniture - loved it. Mascot - hated it. Going to the University itself - it was ok the times my Sims went there - other than my Sim killing herself with the vending machine!

I really want University for the Sims 4! I've never played it on Sims 3 or 2, but I have seen let's plays. I really want it to be more expanded and have more activities and majors.

I loved the University EP for both 2 and 3, it would be my top request for next release!

I didn’t mind the constantly running timer, but I didn’t like that it was basically impossible to graduate unless you took the most amount of classes possible. It just made it so hard to socialise as well as study!

I’d also like the mascot to go but he’s not THAT bad! I’d also love to see some different degrees - they got a bit samey.

Oh how I miss the Uni Ep. Although I have a sneaking suspicion that it will be a Gp. Don't know how to feel about that...but I guess we'll just have to wait and see how they do it.

I really hope the university pack is going to be a meaty expansion pack full of features and gameplay. I'm certain it will happen, but nobody knows when. It's always happened. I wonder if they should level your career based on what college you go to like in real life. You go to a community college and start a career at level 5, or go to a more expensive university and start at level 8 or 9. That would be cool.

I don't miss it at all University was the most boring EP of Sims 3 in my opinion. I think if they give us a career option like becoming a Professor or something then it would make the pack more interesting like they did for Pets create a career like the Vet. The only reason I bought University in Sims 3 was for the stuff that was in it otherwise it would have been a waste of money. The world was pretty but you could not go there unless you went to School.

I loved playing University in Sims 2! But part of that was because the young adult life stage was only available if you sent your teens to college and I really loved playing young adults. I used only one University map and sent all of my teens to different dorms there and I had a blast inviting them to other dorm parties and seeing who would end up hooking up with who. The attraction system made it really fun because you could have your sim "scan room" to see who they had potential chemistry with.

Ahh, I really do miss that. <3

I really miss University. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but for me the teen life stage in Sims 4 seems like just an extended childhood, only with a few more interactions. It's so boring that I usually just age them up to young adult when they hit teen.

University was my favourite EP in TS2. Some people may have found it repetitive because of all of the skill building but I thought it was realistic. I mean, the majority of your time in University is studying and doing assignments, so I liked the added pressure and challenge of getting my sims to do all of their assignments and skills as well as continuing to have fun and socialize with people.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with it in TS4.

Uni was my least favorite pack from TS2. I only liked the new life stage that came with it (YA) If University is done -again- I hope it'd be on a smaller scale maybe a GP instead of a huge EP. EA should think about adding weather and swim-able oceans before working on anything else IMO

I'm definitely waiting for University. I have several huge saves put on a folder on my desktop - of sims teens and their families waiting to go to University, so I can get back to those games. When Pets came out I started another new save. I hope to eventually go back to those earlier saves - so yes - for me you could almost say Uni is a must - otherwise lots of my poor sims will never grow up and have their own families.

I'm from people where everyone knows they will go to University after High School - so I tend to play that same way with my Sims. I am always sort of uncomfortable with many of the careers in this game where in real life you need college degrees to have those jobs - so yes definitely need University soon I hope.

I loved University too. Hopefully, we will get to send our TS4 sims to college soon.

I think most everyone misses Uni and a lot have requested an expanded Education pack which, if they do it, might take longer to "think" through and plan out. They do a lot of talking about these packs.

I have made many suggestions for an Education pack. I suggested a world dedicated to schooling and different schools. Imagine a world similar to Willow Creek, just a nice average looking world with neighborhoods only instead of neighborhoods, you have school zones. Each zone could be a different type of school. For example, a preschool zone with one lot, a grammar school zone with one lot for the school and playground, a high school zone with lots for the school and a sports field, a technical school zone, a boarding school/military school zone and a university zone with options for night school.

Just like in GTW, you are asked if you wish to follow your toddler to daycare, your kid to grammar school, your teen to high school or your grad to college. The one you pick is the one you play while the others go off on their own to their respective schools. At school, depending on who you choose to play, you direct your sim to do school stuff via your direction or answering pop-ups along the way. Maybe your teen wants to ditch school and hangout in the park but you direct them to the science lab to work on homework or increase their skills.

I've never played the Uni expansion in any of the Sims games, but I would definitely get it if it was released for TS4. I kind of feel like there isn't much going for teens and young adults, so an education pack would definitely fix that.

I actually created a boarding school for teens lol. I use the club system from Get Together and so far it seems to be working like an actual boarding school.

I loved collecting degrees in TS3. University is at the top of my wishlist for the Sims 4. I'm hoping it happens eventually.
