How does the gondola work?

I am using the gondola for the first time, and I am very confused as to how this is suppose to work. I am currently using the prebuilt venue, The Last Venue of Amore. I click on the gondola and select Ride with Sim... The queued action just disappears. I tried testing it with the solo ride option. The queued action just disappears. I selected the Give Ride To... option, but it actually works this time. My Sim gave a ride to her boyfriend. What gives with not being able to use the other options? I tried resetting the gondola with Debug Enabler. That didn't do anything. Why can't my Sim ride by herself or with her boyfriend?

The premade lot can be very fussy. It certainly was a pain and a half to enhance its design because of how narrow so many of the building structures were on it, at least it was for me -- I added some bars, a restaurant, tea room, artisan glass blowing station, and casino objects to it in various places and it was very difficult to work with. Wish I had just designed my own in the end, but after a while lost interest (temporarily). Have you tried having your sims visit the lot and then Go Here to stand right in front of the gondola or in different places near it before issuing commands to ride or share a ride in it? There might be routing issues that are causing the commands to disappear from the queue.

    Hey @igazor
So, what happened when I first was able to use using the Give Ride To... option was that my Sim teleported into the gondola while her boyfriend walked to the boat before getting in.

Then, I tried going to the build option and fiddling some with the pieces. I remember sometimes if I had issues with an object in the past I would just delete the objects and then replace it and it worked fine. I tried that method except you are right about how narrow everything is. A good bit of the bigger pieces wouldn't even plop back down after being picked up. I remember though that there was an issue with the Now and Then Century Manor stairs. The stairs that are already placed on the lot that is. They couldn't be recolored for some reason. This could be fixed simply by deleting the object and then clicking undo. That somehow fixed the issue with the stairs. So, I tried that with the bigger pieces that I wasn't able to manually place back down without having to use cheats (which I wasn't going to try because I didn't want to risk breaking it even more). Nothing worked. : (

Since now of that worked, I deleted the lot and placed it back down to see if that would help. I teleported my Sim next to the gondola and queued up the option to the solo ride option a bunch of times and they all disappeared one by one.

I'm not really sure what is going on. I assume from your answer that it is in fact suppose to let my Sim ride solo or with someone and that this isn't some weird mechanic they implemented that only allows you to use these options if you have X,Y,Z conditions except I only have Y and Z. I think I will just have to attempt to make my own lot. Hopefully that will work. Thanks for the help though! : )

There is one more possible explanation, although it's a less likely one if the rest of your TS3 Store premium content is working as expected. Since the gondola and its "track" pieces are classified as premium content, you might be having a previously undetected ccmerged.package file issue.

I will look into that. Thanks!
