Townies and pre-made sims glitch

I'm not sure if this was ever posted before, and if it was I'm sorry for mentioning again but I've been having serious trouble with my game...

When I started playing TS4 everything seemed amazing but lately every time my sims go to a spa, restaurant or any type of venue, the only sims working there are sims EA made like Eliza Pancakes, Bella Goth, etc; I used to have townies and random sims as bartenders, masseuses, waiters, etc; Now I don't anymore; Could this be happening because of any mods I have? I believe is not a mod problem because my scripted mods are the same my sister have in her game, and her game is working fine.
I thought about completely uninstalling TS4 and installing it again to see what happens but I'm not sure if it would help at this point.

So, if anyone knows of anything I could do to fix that I'd really appreciate it;

from what i know this should be normal, but i've read about a mod that changes that, so you can met different sims

@jenniferl3 I'll look for it, thanks. Do you think there is anyway I could solve that without a mod? That didn't happen in my game when I first started playing it

Premade sims may be given jobs, but there should also be other generated townies given jobs also.

Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder .

Move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if that helps the issues.

Try starting a new save game and see if the issues occur in that game also.

@rosemow Thank you, dear. Yeah I had some premade sims having jobs before but it was rare, now I barely see any game generated sims having jobs my whole neighborhood is always the ones working and also sims from other neighborhoods unfortunately; I tried repairing my game and also replacing EA's folder but nothing changed; Do you think if I completely uninstall TS4 from my computer and then start a whole new game it might work? I'm running out of ideas; I thought about contacting a guru or someone at EA but I also don't know how.

Anyway you're always helpful to me, thank you very much for that

It may help to uninstall and reinstall the Sims 4 game. I am not sure if it will help or not, but if you would like to it , it may work. I know that it can take a while to reinstall and is also a big download though.
If you decide to uninstall /reinstall the game, make a backup copy of your sims 4 folder before uninstalling and place it on an external drive as a safeguard just in case there are issues.

@rosemow Okay...do I have to uninstall origin too? If so, how do I download it again? Do you think the game will reinstall perfectly, I mean at least the same way as it is right now? I uninstalled and reinstalled lots of programs before but never tried with the sims.

You don't need to uninstall origin.
You can uninstall the sims 4 game, by right clicking the sims 4 picture in my games section of Origin. You download/reinstall the game there also.
The game should reinstall to how it is now, but without glitches. Reinstalling the game shouldn't affect your save games or the items in your library that you have saved there, but it is always best to make a backup copy of the documents -electronic arts -sims 4 folder as a precaution and place it on an external drive.

For me it's the other way found being the huge custom content user I am it's irritating having townies in weird cc clothes and hair so I delete them or edit them but my townies generating is slowing down thank fully

I get mad about the amount of cc my townies wear too but the thing about not having anybody other than the pre-made sims as employees is also boring.

What kinds of mods are you using ? Do you have MC Command Center ?

Depending on your settings, that could be the cause.

If you still have MC, *don't* install "No More Same Sims Everywhere" as it DOES conflict with MC. There's a Population setting for Randomize Visiting Sims that does the same thing.

I just now saw this thread, expect an edit. I have more, but I want to go back and really read it first. I just wanted to tell you, hang onto MC and let me see what I can come up with.

Biggest thing is, don't get that mod. LOL!

Edit: First, apologies for the mod tone of this post. MC advice. But I'd rather answer these questions here, since this is where wicked asked them.

Wicked what do you have in your Careers settings for Fill Inactive Careers Only? If it's enabled, your PLAYED sims will *not* be used by the game for changing jobs. If it's disabled, the game will put anybody wherever it wants them to work. Also, are you still using the default employment ranges?

I suppose I should also ask, what mods besides MC are you playing with?

I wouldn't think you'd need to reinstall the game. Try deleting your localthumbcache file and see if that might help.

BTW, to get a list in your mc log of who has which job, in the game, type get_pop c into the cheat bar. Then look at your log. It will give you a list of every employed sim and their job, and it will give you a stats breakdown on the sims in your game, too.

If they're unplayed and you play them, they'll lose their NPC jobs. Maybe that'll kickstart the game into giving you more different sims doing things again.

Let me know if any of this helps. If not, come to my help thread, I know you know the way.

Crinrict may be right, settings could help you get past this snag. But let's not take up any more of this Game thread space for more MC stuff.

I am not sure if MC Command Center mod is causing this issue because wickedangel666 has posted about having the issue before she installed/was thinking about installing the MC Comnand Center mod ( not in this thread though ) She has in the last few days been asking about information about MC Command Center mod , but had already posted about her issues before that.

Are you familiar with Sims4Studio? You can use that on your cc to disable it for random use on NPCs, if you like.

I'm wondering about a possible mod conflict, but just because that's generally my first thought.

I'm just thinking MC can probably help with whatever's going on, once we figure out the specifics.

@wickedangell666 if you've been getting any errors in your MC log file, or any lastexeption files in your /Sims4 folder, I'm interested in any of that. Let me know.

By the way, tonight is my last work night. Starting tomorrow, I'm off till Sunday afternoon. If you'd like to upload a copy of your save file (and a copy of your mc_settings.cfg file would help, also) somewhere (mediafire or dropbox) for me, I can take a look at it this coming week.

I'm sorry for only commenting right now @egwarhammer I haven't seen your post earlier...Is not MC commander issue because I had that before, the problem is that my pre-made sims have NPC jobs such as waiter, masseuse, etc, things that I couldn't do if I was playing them, you know?

Hi is there enyone that would like to help me with my last exeption folder..? I used XMLPrettyPrint to try and find the errors but i thought i deleted the right old cc but now everytime i go in game the lastexeption files keep popping up, like very much. I just went in game and it popped up like 10 at the same time!! Can i like mail u the file and u could try to find the problem? xxx help plz Im kinda freaking out bc i dont wanna delete the wrong things
