The DXDiag information doesn’t list the computer processor information so I am not sure the strength of it.
Try going to the HP site, search for your computer model. and update your drivers.
Turn on laptop mode on your computer. Play in windowed mode and see if that helps.
Lower your graphics settings and see if that helps the issues.
@rosemow I lowered the graphics and turn on the laptop mode and the problem still happens. I change the game from fullscreen to windowed mode and the same problem... I cannot understand what happens... I have installed last year in another laptop and everything is okay and in this laptop i cannot play the game... :( Maybe there is any problem with mods? I am going to ask @phoebebebe13 about your computer and have a look at your DXDiag info.
You may have a weaker processor than is required. You also have an integrated processor video card. It is using the same computer ram along with the game , origin, windows and other programs that you have on your computer. These things may be causing the issues.
Each patch and pack adds extra pressure on the computer to run the game.

If you have another computer it would be best to play on that if it is has higher computer specifications.

I am having the same problem and have read through this forum and nothing has worked. 2 days ago the game worked just fine, I use many mods and cc but I was getting some warning error messages but didn't think much of it because the game worked fine the whole day even with restarting the game after dinner :tongue: but this is day 2 of this issue and really just wanna play. I have taken out my saves, mods, and tray folders and restarted the game completely and then replaced the folders and it still doesn't load the households and I am very frustrated now. You may be having isssues because you have an integrated processor video card. It is using the same computer ram along with the game , origin, windows and other programs that you have on your computer..
You are also getting low in free hard drive space. You have 22gb and it recommended to have 50gb free.
Your graphics drivers are not uptodate,
All these things may be causing the issues, I am so sorry
If you have another computer it would be best to play on that if it is has higher computer specifications.
There are a few things that you can do to see if it helps, but having the above things may cause ongoing issues,
Go to the hp site, search for your laptop model, and update your graphics drivers.
Try playing in laptop mode, and in windowed mode. Try lowering the ingame screen resolution in game options.
Close all other open windows in the desktop when playing the game and see if that helps.

Hi @MiyreaZED Your graphics are actually below the game's minimum requirements, I'm afraid. You'll have built-in limitations for sure with that, and I personally wouldn't advise playing on that computer if you don't want to risk damaging it with overheating.

There may be an issue with the current save game that you are playing.
You may though have further issues in the future as your hard drive space is very low. You also don’t have a dedicated graphics card and have less than 4gb usable ram.
I am sorry I hope that you don’t have further issues but you may, as a result of future patches and added packs which add extra strain on the computer to play the game, as well as taking up more hard drive space.
My problem was my game saved and became a corrupted save game.
So this is what I did.
*Close the game *Move your documents\electronicarts\thesims4\saves folder to the desktop *Start a new game for testing purposes and see if it works now *If so, exit your game and put the game named slot00000002.save from your folder on the desktop back into the new saves folder *Start the game and see if it loads If so, proceed for every game (except slot00000001.save) and see if you find the corrupt one. Do not worry about the slot1, or the two folders in the saves folder. They are not needed. *If you found which save is bugged, you need to decide if you want to try and save it or not. *If you do, check if you have any files called slot0000000X.save.ver0 - slot0000000X.save.ver0 (X is the number of your bugged save). *If you do, move the slot0000000X.sav back to the folder on your desktop and move the ver0 file to the active folder and rename slot0000000X.save.ver0 to slot0000000X.save. *If it still doesn't work, try any of the other backups. *Once you found a working save game, immediately use save as to save it under a new name.

Then I had the same problem, of getting to the point of trying to load a household but just got that eternal loading screen. I tried making a new family. Nada. But I was running version 1.29, like OP with the same problem. So I updated it. Annnd now the game won't load at all. I get this error message that says,
"Unable to start:
Can't run The Sims 4 with the video card in this system. Please check that the video card meets the minimum specifications and that the lastest video drivers are installed." and then a long series of numbers and letters at the bottom.
So... I mean, what? It worked before! Please help?

Make sure that your graphics drivers are uptodate.
Try turning off origin in-game and see if that helps. To do that, go to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture. Click on “Game Properties”. Then untick the box that enables origin in-game

If the issues remain after doing these things, could you please post your DxDiag info here.
To gather a DXDIAG on your computer, do this :
Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
Type dxdiag in the text field
Click OK
Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report
After you have saved your dxdiag info on your computer, go to the pastebin site https://pastebin.com
and copy/paste the dxdiag info into the white box there. Press the button to create the new paste/pastebin text file.
Then post here in this thread the web address of your dxdiag info that is on the pastebin site. You will need to replace the http in the address with h.t.t.p as you are a new member and can’t post links.

If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then try starting the game and see if you can load the game.
If the issue remains,repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

You may be having isssues because you have an integrated processor video card. It is using the same computer ram along with the game , origin, windows and other programs that you have on your computer..
You are also getting low in free hard drive space. You have 22gb and it recommended to have 50gb free.
Your graphics drivers are not uptodate,
All these things may be causing the issues, I am so sorry
If you have another computer it would be best to play on that if it is has higher computer specifications.
There are a few things that you can do to see if it helps, but having the above things may cause ongoing issues,
Go to the hp site, search for your laptop model, and update your graphics drivers.
Try playing in laptop mode, and in windowed mode. Try lowering the ingame screen resolution in game options.
Close all other open windows in the desktop when playing the game and see if that helps.
You could try disabling packs and see if the reduced game load helps.

There may be an issue with the current save game that you are playing.
You may though have further issues in the future as your hard drive space is very low. You also don’t have a dedicated graphics card and have less than 4gb usable ram.

My problem was my game saved and became a corrupted save game.
So this is what I did.
*Close the game
*Move your documents\electronicarts\thesims4\saves folder to the desktop
*Start a new game for testing purposes and see if it works now
*If so, exit your game and put the game named slot00000002.save from your folder on the desktop back into the new saves folder
*Start the game and see if it loads If so, proceed for every game (except slot00000001.save) and see if you find the corrupt one. Do not worry about the slot1, or the two folders in the saves folder. They are not needed.
*If you found which save is bugged, you need to decide if you want to try and save it or not.
*If you do, check if you have any files called slot0000000X.save.ver0 - slot0000000X.save.ver0 (X is the number of your bugged save).
*If you do, move the slot0000000X.sav back to the folder on your desktop and move the ver0 file to the active folder and rename slot0000000X.save.ver0 to slot0000000X.save.
*If it still doesn't work, try any of the other backups.
*Once you found a working save game, immediately use save as to save it under a new name.

Try turning off origin in-game and see if that helps. To do that, go to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture. Click on “Game Properties”. Then untick the box that enables origin in-game

I'm assuming the update made it so that my older laptop can no longer run this game, but I'm hoping I'm wrong.

If the issues remain after doing these things, could you please post your DxDiag info here.
To gather a DXDIAG on your computer, do this :
Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
Type dxdiag in the text field
Click OK
Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report
After you have saved your dxdiag info on your computer, go to the pastebin site https://pastebin.com
and copy/paste the dxdiag info into the white box there. Press the button to create the new paste/pastebin text file.
Then post here in this thread the web address of your dxdiag info that is on the pastebin site. You will need to replace the http in the address with h.t.t.p as you are a new member and can’t post links.

So the other day I was playing and suddenly I got a notification that my vampire was dying of too much sun.. it was 10.00 pm. So it said she died but then it said she was moved into another person's household. I moved her back into my household but now my game will not load.

If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then try starting the game and see if you can load the game.
If the issue remains,repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.
Try deleting the cache files and see if that helps
