I haven't had time to visit here and catch up on all the great requests you've completed recently Sandraelle, but you always create such wonderful homes. I really enjoyed looking through the Split Cohesion picture album. Your current WIP pictures look wonderful, you are so creative in the way you build and design. I love the homes you've built for me in the past :)

I'm really enjoying your WIPs Sandy. Such great interior design and clever use of moo and object combinations. The pic of the billards room looks so realistic esp with the great carpet and ceiling patterns. Looking forward to seeing more

@soocoolsim , thanks so much Paula. I probably wouldn't have decorated the billiards room in that style, but my requester posted a picture of what he wanted that room to look like. I'm nearing the end so should be uploading it soon.

@xnicholas12 , even though you've conveyed to me numerous times that I could use any store content I wanted, I just wanted to give you a heads up on the store items in the build, since I know you don't own everything. I've tried to keep a careful record, but I may have missed an item or two, lol.

Depending on what you already own and what you're willing to purchase, some objects can't be purchased individually, but most of it can be substituted with other objects with the exception of the stairs I used in the entryway. For instance, lamps, mirrors, chairs, and other decor objects.

    Store items I'm using
Colonial manor stairs set with curved L & R stairs (NECESSARY) from the Now and Then Manor Venue, 1900 PTS: https://store.thesims3.com/setsProductDetails.html?scategoryId=13570&productId=OFB-SIM3:72479&section=UpSell

@xnicholas12 , I have your house all finished. You can read about it, download it and view the picture slideshow on our DNA thread (link below).

Just a few notes: As I figured, the Exchange does not show everything I used from the store, especially the big venues and sets so I'm glad I provided you with a list. At least you will have all the pictures to reference if something looks off in the decor after you've downloaded it, lol. It was a pleasure to build for you and I hope you enjoy the house.

    QUESTIONS REGARDING CURRENT REQUEST

****Bookmarking this thread while I am creating for you should help insure that you receive notifications.****

    Questions for @larrylove12

    5/29/18

    1. For the sunroom, do you have any ideas/preference for what type of hobby you'd like in there? I was thinking like an art studio? But if you have another idea, just let me know.

    2. Is it ok if I put the pizza oven outside on the grilling porch next to the bbq, instead of in the kitchen? If not, I can make it fit in the kitchen.

    3. I love this style of decor, by the way, and thanks for posting all of those inspiration photos. But I just want to be sure I understand your vision. So could you just elaborate on what you mean by "very fresh and cleanly decorated"?

Hiii!! Thank you for claiming my request!! And sorry for the delay!

    1. Yes I love a good art studio!
    2. Yes sounds good 2 me lol I just want one on the lot somewhere:)
    3. And minimalistic I guess with neutral colors, and earthy tones, woods, not bright colors. I hope that helps! The fresh clean thing was kind of vague sorry about that!

@larrylove12 , thank you so much for getting back to me. And thanks for clarifying the fresh clean thing, lol. I will be doing neutral colors for sure, but from your inspiration pics I get a cozy, cluttery feel rather than minimalistic, as you said lots of pictures and plants around, so I hope I'm not putting in "too much decor", lol. But this is your build, so correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Were you wanting to see any WIP pics or do you want to be surprised at the end?

EDIT: I thought of another question. Did you want a pool, hot tub or children's play area (provided there's room)? I'm assuming the horse training area would be a priority over those other items?

Hi @larrylove12 , For the garden, do you have anything in particular you wanted planted? I was going to just put in a little variety of veggies, but if there's something specific you want, just let me know. I also put in a few fruit trees somewhere else.

I was able to fit in quite a bit on your lot. It's on a 60x60 and in addition to your main requests (2-stall barn and training area, cows, chickens and garden), I was also able to fit a pool, hot tub and a small play area.

    Hi!

Sorry the link didn't work, I could try to upload to the exchange if you'd like.

    1. 101 O'Connell Heighs, the 64x64 lot overlooking the town. it's where the Drake School of Learning is.

    2. Of course, the floor plan and layout can be completely different as long as you somewhat keep the feel of the old chateau.

    3. Not really, i don't have cars for my sims.

    4. You don't have to. I'll move the collectibles along with the family.

    5. No, you can move them wherever you'd like.

    6. Yes, I'd like you to add the servants quarters/shed that I completely forgot to mention in my original post, Sorry! I think that this should answer your question about the treasury as well since it was attached to the skill building room in the basement. I'll include pictures. As for other things feel free to include what you think would compliment the look of chateau. I would love a fountain-like pool similar to the O'Connell's or a pond with a bridge maybe? Whatever you guys think looks palatial, pretty and fairytale-esque i'm sure i'll love.

    7. I'd like a separate room for magic with the alchemy station, cauldron and spell book as I originally had it with the queen's bedroom. An office/study with a library. A ballroom. Grand hall entrance and staircase (even though those last three are kind of included in the floor plans.) Lastly, a formal dining room. You can also include more of course.

    8. Yes, I have the venue.

9.Yes, I own most if not all of them. I also own the castle pieces.

    10. I'll include picture of this to show you how it looks. It's a room that used for skill building that leads to the treasury. Also could you include a single bed somewhere in there? You don't have too make a full fledged living quarters though.

    11. The 6th was meant to be for the warrior and it was the green bedroom in the floor plan.

One more thing, I really like white with gold accents, I forgot to mention this in the color schemes. Thanks so much again and if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

    Here's some pictures. :)

@puertoricanthang , thank you for your responses and for supplying the basement pictures, this helps alot.

I'm sure we will think of more questions as we go along so keep an eye out for new posts on this thread. Thanks!

Oh just thought of something else....can we put more bathrooms in if we see fit?
  • puertoricanthangpuertoricanthang Posts: 88 Member
@Sandraelle Sure thing, feel free to add things as you see fit. (Also I fixed one of the pictures in the reply posts. It showed up as a link instead of an image.)

@puertoricanthang , thanks for fixing the image link.

Another question: Can we put the basement underneath the home instead of having a small shed in the back to enter the servant's quarters? Thinking that a basement placed in that area might conflict with a pool and/or pond, etc. Thanks.

@Sandraelle Sure, if you would like too, I would just like them to be similar.

Here's more inspiration images if you would like them by the way. *EDIT* also I can find images for more specific things if you would like. Like landscaping or interior. :)

If you want to send some landscaping and interior decor pics, please feel free.

Yes if that's possible. I really liked keeping the treasury "hidden" and "secret"and having the convenience of the LLAMA for transportation but if you have a better idea you could change it.

Here's some more inspiration photos. The first few is of the original chateau. :)
here's a closeup of the ballroom that really is just an over sized living room with a piano :p2j31rpt.jpgThe Provider's Bedroom30vbpev.jpgThe Warrior's Bedroom2m7sw8o.jpgThe Queen's Garden (sorry that it's in winter.) igkv15.jpgHere's some pictures of somewhat of what i'd like the interior to look like. There's a lot of pink because that's all I can find lol. I would like other colors like blues and pastel purples, etc. I'm not sure if there's more rococo furniture other than the Palace of Versailles and Supernatural.luxury-princess-bedroom-set.jpgThis picture is really small for some reason sorry. :D

Anyways, thank you so much. I couldn't find any of landscaping but if I find any good ones i'll post them. Sorry if the interior is a little to demanding or if i'm going overboard with the pictures. If you need me to answer anymore questions i'll respond ASAP.

Ok, I will consult with my teammates more about the hidden/secret entrance to the basement.

Thanks for the pictures. Can you by chance send pictures of the queen and the 5 other people who will be occupying the bedrooms? I'm not clear if the warrior is a male or female, lol.

Here's the pictures of our household, our warrior is a female by the way.. The two princesses are just babies right now and are staying in the nursery. But if it helps the younger sister is a lot like her mother and the older sister prefers blues and more cool tone oceanic colors since she is a mermaid.

    Here's their pictures. :)

@puertoricanthang , thank you so much for providing the pictures of the family. They are all so beautiful, especially the queen. Thanks for clarifying that they're all female, sorry I didn't know much about the amazon challenge, lol.
