I've been working on more terrain painting and wanted to get the terrain to look like beach sand until I get the roads done.I have to make sure I can see the desert dirt roads while I'm laying them down.
Here are the pictures from today's work session in CAW.
I got more done in CAW and enjoyed working on Logan again.
I've had to work on the terrain painting and finally got one side of the town done and will have to work on the other side later.
Here's some of the work I was doing.
Here's a save screen after saving my work.
Here's my finished work from today's session in CAW.
Sahalee1207-I've been wanting to have a desert world myself and it's base game,World Adventures and Late Night with Riverview content. It's called Logan and I've been working on it for a while now.
I've had to do more work on terrain painting so I can see my desert dirt road while working on them and placing the lamps.
Here's my save window after saving my work.
I had to fill the terrain paint in to turn the terrain into beach sand for placing my roads.
Here's my latest update on my CAW project with Logan.I've been sick for a while and have needed to get more done on the world even if it was just a little work.
I started working on adding and placing the roads and highways after finishing with painting the terrain so some of the roads will show up and be visible while I'm working on them.
I've extended the highway off the bridge and added another intersection to it.
I've added a highway going in the other direction to run along the river's course.
I got the new sections all snapped together and snapped them to the intersections.
I saved it to a new filename like I do every time I save my world.
Hi there @SandraKB-I've had to remove my CAW data for installing new Stuff Packs and just got that back in and I did a little on my world.I've got more to do there with the roads and the road objects before starting on terrain painting to get the right terrain pant back after placing some of the roads.I painted it to beach sand so the desert dirt roads would stand out while I work on them.

Nothing wrong with that, that's what I do. I have it book marked.
@SandraKB-I hope to get this done and it seems like a lot of us repaint some terrains to place roads like in desert worlds just so we can see the roads while we work on the roads and road objects.I hope to get the world out into my game even if I don't get lots placed because I forgot the lots in Winfield and it works very well.I would place lots on the top layer if any get placed so adding new lots and replacing them is less likely to mess the world's routing up.
Here's an update from CAW.I've had to put my project on hold while I installed new Sims 3 SP's and an expansion which needed to be tested.
I started by extending the highway on the other side of the bridge.
I was just placing new sections of road and intersections and had to snap them together.
I had a new bit of highway in the other direction.
I've been kept away from CAW for a long time because I was installing new Expansion Packs and Stuff Packs though I got some work done today.
Here's another update on my current CAW project in Logan.
I started by extending the highway out and making a turn towards the other bridge out to the island.
I got the roads all snapped together and snapped to the intersections.
I've managed to get city streets in where they were supposed to go.
I got the street connecting to the bridge to snap to the intersection.
Don't know if you played sims 2, but if you did, you may remember Strangetown. Sims 3 Catalog has a sims 3 version of this world that's very good with all the characters from the sims 2 version present plus a few from sims 1. If you haven't already, check it out...you might like it!
I might've got that on an external hard drive and I do play TS2 with UC.I've already exported Logan to the game and installed it a few monthes ago which was before Christmas.I lost this thread while making the world near the end of the project.I've been building the city hall for Logan and added some lots to the town get it ready for live play to test that part out.
It's got ranch grass, redwood trees and cottonwood trees though no palm trees as it's in a climate that can get very cold in the winter. The town's located in the northern part of Utah and just east of the continental divide in the foot hills of the Rockies. They can get all kinds of winters with anthing from a mild winter to one with tempertatures getting to as low as -40*C.
