Hedgehog Postcards?

My sims received a notification about their hedgehog traveling a long way and sending them a postcard. My sim checked the mail, no card. I checked their inventory in live mode and in but mode, nothing...Where are they located?

well darn! wish I could remember where mine was, dunno how I forgot. did it get automatically placed on the front of the cage? on the lil board bit.
They usually go into the household inventory. Perhaps try travelling to another lot, then back home again and then check to see if it appears in that inventory then.
