Question about Origin [Answered!]

I have a question about Origin. It's the program I run my sims games through, both 3 and 4.
When I log in, does it notify whoever is active on my friends list that I've logged on, even if I make myself invisible? If so, is there a setting I can change so that I don't automatically go online when I log into Origin? I want to be able to control when my friends list can see me as active.
