After only a short while in the pool, Sam got out and I saw "have a quick drink" in his queue. There was bar somewhere on the lot and, being a party animal, he knew exactly where it was. It took him ages to get there as it was in a small, raised building at the back of the lot.
When I saw Beathan appear in Sam's queue I cancelled his action and teleported him to Sam. There was no way I was going to wait for him to make the same trek!

Drinks led to a wish to skinny dip so I sent the boys back to the pool. After I sent the boys in, I realized there was a little boy in the pool
The boys had a breath holding competition and Beathan won. He seems to be on a winning streak
The boys got out when this little girl appeared. They were probably startled by her ability to walk on water
The boys went to the Market for dinner.
After dinner the boys set up camp. It was a tight squeeze getting their tent on this lot!

I gave Beathan a quest but it was boring! It involved finding some metal and relics (already found in earlier quest) to build a telescope. Here's Beathan delivering the metal and relics to Chen Hong. Of course Sam came along and he chatted with this sim who I think was the son of Chen.
After that Beathan had to find the Special Merchant to deliver broken parts for repair.
Beathan also had to convince 3 locals to turn off their lights. Since he already knew all the merchants, that part was easiest.
When the locals had been convinced, Beathan reported back to Chen.
Beathan rolled a wish to visit the Academy. While they were there Sam met Adaeze Min and Beathan met Biyu Shen.
Adaeze started yelling at Sam!
I don't like my boys fighting so I had him challenge her to a spar instead. When I saw the blue streaks, I worried that Sam had bitten off more than he could chew.
But Sam held his ground and won 2 to 1
Although I didn't get any pics, Beathan also sparred with Biyu and won
I looked around the map to find a lot the boys hadn't visited and found the Resolute Fist Retreat.
There was a room of single beds, a small kitchen and a bathroom with only a tub. I replaced the tub with a shower
After working up a sweat sparring, the boys deserved a hot shower
The boys kept trying to play catch but were always thwarted by the "not enough room" message. Since they wanted to play catch I sent them to Han's Orchard. and *ouch*
I noticed fish jumping in the pond so let the boys fish after their game of catch.
Not knowing what the butterflies were annoyed me so I had Beathan catch one. It was a Bamboo Straight Swift Butterfly.
The boys had wishes to skinny dip but I made them wait until it was nearly time for dinner.
Swimming always makes me hungry so I am sure the boys enjoyed the tri-tip steak dinner after their dip

The boys set up camp at a different campground. The scenery wasn't as pretty but the camera didn't keep bouncing around because it wasn't surrounded by hills as was the last one.
The boys warmed themselves before retiring for the night
Beathan woke with a wish to talk about gardening. I got it out of the way before the boys left camp.
The boys then went to the Market for breakfast.
I'd meant to send the boys back to the Dragon Cave to retrieve the hidden relics at the back of the main room but only remembered while the boys were eating.

I MC'd another quest for Beathan and his first task was to spar with Adaeze Min twice. Sam and Biyu kept each other company while they sparred.
Beathan lost both matches but the task didn't require for him to win.

Once again Beathan had to report to the Special Merchant.
His next task was to meditate at the Scholars Garden for 2 hours.
Sam read while he waited. He enjoyed reading so much that he started a second book without me noticing and when it was time to go I had to cancel his attempt to choose another book twice!

After reporting back to the Special Merchant, the boys headed to the Resolute Fist Retreat to begin the fun part of the quest Standing on the pressure plate revealed stairs (to the right).
The boys cleared piles of rubble in the first room they came to. The rubble Sam cleared uncovered a hole in the wall which opened a secret door.
Beathan used the key stone to open the main door.
Silly me! I should have taken heed of Beathan's wish to disarm a fire trap! But no, instead I told him to go to the moveable statue!
Poor Beathan and it was all my fault
Let's pretend I was prepared and had bought the boys showers in a can Because the boys were underground, I didn't realize it was way past dinner time! I had them eat some morsels they had found in various chests and holes in walls/floors.
I then had Sam kiss Beathan's boo boo better
The boys explored a few corridors filled with fire traps which were turned on and off by hidden switches. This time it was Sam's turn to find some bugs
One of the switches that Beathan found uncovered a hidden door that required a little effort to open.
The door led to the last room and the quest was complete. The boys would have to wait until morning to report in.
They had time to watch the stars before retiring

It's their 7th day in Shang Simla and still neither has wished to go home. Perhaps they realize that their vacation will effectively double their time as elders since my elder stage is only 8 days. The boys greeted the morning with a kiss Beathan woke with a wish to watch the Cooking Channel and Sam with a wish to fish. I cancelled Beathan's wish but wasn't concerned because he will roll dozens of wishes during the day that I will gladly meet
I saw the Special Merchant stroll past as the boys had breakfast and, although I don't like him, I was glad because Beathan needed to report in to him for a small quest and I knew I wouldn't have to go looking for him.
I guess the Food Merchant was checking to see if the boys were enjoying their meal
I sent Sam to Han's Orchard to get his fishing wish while Beathan reported in to the Special Merchant. I didn't take any pics of this quest because it was just a short one that required talking to a few sims.
When he was done, he met up with Sam and did a spot of fishing too
Sam rolled a wish to visit the Temple of Heaven so I sent the boys even though there is nothing to do there unless you are doing a quest.
I sent (teleported) the boys to the top to enjoy the view
I wanted a closer look at some ruins I saw in map view so had the boys walk around for a bit.
Then I sent them to the bridge so I could take a pretty picture
When I was looking at aerial shots of the quest area at the Resolute Fist Retreat, I realized that the revealed space downstairs was smaller than the area above and remembered a row of small rooms I had seen years ago. I sent the boys back to reveal those rooms and see if there was any treasure worth taking.
Sam found some bugs and a switch to open the room at the end of the corridor.
I had Beathan check the last room and there was another hole to inspect. I can't remember what it did but got a good laugh that both boys got bugs this time
I vaguely remembered there was something beneath the Abandoned Barn so sent the boys to investigate. They got a few coins, money bags and cheap relics.
Since the boys had been working hard I let them fish for a while
Beathan started another quest that required he find some gems and meet with a sim a couple of times so I left Sam fishing and they met up at the Market when he was done.
After the boys had played catch and done some skinny dipping, it was time for dinner.
They watched the stars after setting up camp.
The boys must be missing their garden because Sam woke up with a wish to talk about gardening this time.
No-one watched them eating this morning
After breakfast I sent the boys to the Temple of Heaven to do the quest for Pangu's Axe.
There was nothing for Sam to do while he waited for Beathan to clear the rubble, so I had him view some statues.
I always get a chuckle when sims stop to scratch their butts while clearing rubble I love all the little details in the game's animations

Although you can see the axe soon after entering, getting there is quite tricky with lots of stairs going up and down and curly hallways to be navigated. I could have cheated as I have in the past and just teleported my sim to the finishing line but the boys had time.
I don't feel so bad about sending boys into dive wells when they wish to do it
There were lots of steam traps and fortunately the boys kept rolling wishes to disarm them
I thought it was adorable when Sam rolled a wish to kiss Beathan mid-quest so how could I resist
Since Beathan took the quest, he was the one to collect it.

The boys headed to the Hot Springs. The first part of Beathan's quest was to crush the boulder which blocked the way to the dive well. In the past, I have just teleported my sims past the boulder to raid the tomb
But this time I can do it properly because Beathan has Pangu's Axe and the boys have all day

I could see a pressure plate behind Sam and had him stand on it. It extinguished the flames with a spray of water.
On the other side of the corridor was another dive well and I had Sam go first this time. He didn't want to go

Another level down! There were a few moveable statues, a hole in the floor and a pressure plate. This is a very easy quest.

This floor was a little more difficult but still easy. The central corridor had a moveable statue that had to be moved onto pressure plates in a particular order to access the side rooms.
The final level held the treasure and only one trap that couldn't be disarmed but could be walked around.
The boys chatted to fill their social bars when they were done.

Beathan might get all the bugs, but he certainly has all the luck when it comes to sparring and breath holding contests
I looked for Chen in map view so that Beathan could report in and saw that he was heading to the Hot Springs. I had Beathan meet him at the entrance.
I sent the boys to the Market and Sam made friends with the Book Merchant.
The boys had time to kill before dinner so they had a game of catch.
The boys enjoyed dim sum as their last meal in Shang Simla It was §60 per serve but I got most of it back by selling the plates.
I didn't bother setting up the big tent this time. The small tent would do for what they wanted

They only had 4 hours before leaving. They rocked the tent and then spent some time in front of the fire.

The car was in Sam's inventory when they left home but somehow Beathan ended up driving on the way home.

I gave the boys the MA skills they earned on vacation and it triggered many wishes, including a wish to spar.
Brett rolled a wish to make pancakes after they had them for breakfast. He's such a cutie!

I decided it was baby time but I got no chimes and no pregnancy Not to be deterred, I sent them to the bedroom to try again
The old boys were still dancing when Euan got home from school. Since they would be celebrating Euan's birthday soon, I dressed them with MC.
Since the couples only had eyes for each other, I sent Euan fishing until it was time to blow out the candles. He has two big fishing wishes locked in - one to master the skill and the other to catch every type of fish.
Euan reached level 9 in fishing before I called him to the cake!

@Mikezumi yes very true re China such a gorgeous world to visit. I really love how EA and sims creators have taken the time to put so much detail in the worlds. I have seen some of French through your game play now and it is a place i wish to send my sims, i love china it is a place i have sent a couple to a few times and my sims self went to Egypt twice, but never France ( a goal i must say )
I love the sparring times, i sometimes force them to spar just to sit back and enjoy the fights, the animations are great, i guess as i love it in real life and watching how fighters move makes me enjoy the sims in it too, i'm a little addicted to it

While I watched my boys eat I was thinking that it won't be long before I need an extra table

Sam rolled a wish to boast about his grandchildren when Brett was added to the household
Beathan woke with a wish to weed. I let him weed one plant. I haven't decided if I will make Euan and Greg self employed gardeners but I sent Euan out to water anyway to see if it would trigger a wish to level up. It did, but not the wish I wanted. It was a wish to reach level 6 and he is only at 4. 750 points is not enough to lock in for a wish that could take several days.
Fife and Brett rolled wishes to master gardening when they got a promotion the day before. They have a long way to go so I might cancel that wish even though it is worth 5,000 because they will have lots of toddler wishes soon.
Greg got home from a jog just as Euan finished watering and went straight for woohoo!

I have always hated the portable stereos that sims bring out when they use the hot tub. Brett and Greg both had them when they joined the family. Brett came over to turn on this one and saw a little more than he wanted I sold them both immediately after.

I saw the pool in Brett's queue and followed him. He took off his clothes and jumped in but it didn't last long because he had to get out to change into his pregnancy outfit.

This is the second burglar I have had since tuning burglars out of my save. The first one I was able to reset before he got to the house but Euan, being brave, had already woken up by the time I noticed this one so I let it play out.
Even though Euan woke first, he took forever to get up and Greg beat him outside.

I actually would rather they didn't interact with the burglar because I have had issues in the past when my sims have tried to fight with him/her and become glitched afterwards. Every sim in the house will drop what they are doing just to run to the sim who got in the fight. They will even wake up and run to the sim. Annoying and can only be stopped by a MC reset which I hate doing to a sim I have been playing for a while.
Sam wanted to fish before 6am. Although he only caught a small alley catfish, he was happy because it was perfect quality

When Greg first arrived, he wanted to learn the gardening skill so I had him plant something to unhide the skills he got from Scouts. I sent Greg and Euan to the Town Hall after breakfast to sign up as self-employed gardeners. Both rolled wishes to garden so I had Greg water the plants. Euan's wish had to wait a little while I cleared a couple of other wishes he had.
Beathan and Euan woke with wishes to fish and Sam had a specific fish wish from his early morning fishing. Euan mastered fishing Now he only needs one fish to get his wish to catch every type of fish.
He went through about 8 garlic and simply could not catch a vampire fish. I was getting frustrated so I sent him to the Science Lab and had him fish with garlic. He still couldn't catch a vampire fish but the robot fish gave him his wish Two bigs wishes in one morning!
I sent everyone to the bowling alley when it opened. Greg had a wish to do a charming introduction. He met Saul Herrerra. I remember when Saul was a little boy. He was a school friend of Artair's and when he came over for a play date he delighted in scaring Aileas. Gotta love evil sims
I could see from Brett's thumbnail that he was tagging a wall but every time I tried to zoom in I kept getting blocked by walls. I thought he might be outside somewhere but he had chosen to tag the wall of the restroom.

I MC'd another quest for Beathan and his first task was to spar with Adaeze Min twice. Sam and Biyu kept each other company while they sparred.
Beathan lost both matches but the task didn't require for him to win.
Sam and Biyu were getting on great!
Once again Beathan had to report to the Special Merchant.
His next task was to meditate at the Scholars Garden for 2 hours.
Sam read while he waited. He enjoyed reading so much that he started a second book without me noticing and when it was time to go I had to cancel his attempt to choose another book twice!

The boys cleared piles of rubble in the first room they came to. The rubble Sam cleared uncovered a hole in the wall which opened a secret door.
Beathan used the key stone to open the main door.
Silly me! I should have taken heed of Beathan's wish to disarm a fire trap! But no, instead I told him to go to the moveable statue!
Poor Beathan and it was all my fault
Let's pretend I was prepared and had bought the boys showers in a can
I then had Sam kiss Beathan's boo boo better
The boys explored a few corridors filled with fire traps which were turned on and off by hidden switches. This time it was Sam's turn to find some bugs
One of the switches that Beathan found uncovered a hidden door that required a little effort to open.
The door led to the last room and the quest was complete. The boys would have to wait until morning to report in.
They had time to watch the stars before retiring

I saw the Special Merchant stroll past as the boys had breakfast and, although I don't like him, I was glad because Beathan needed to report in to him for a small quest and I knew I wouldn't have to go looking for him.
I guess the Food Merchant was checking to see if the boys were enjoying their meal
I sent Sam to Han's Orchard to get his fishing wish while Beathan reported in to the Special Merchant. I didn't take any pics of this quest because it was just a short one that required talking to a few sims.
When he was done, he met up with Sam and did a spot of fishing too
Sam rolled a wish to visit the Temple of Heaven so I sent the boys even though there is nothing to do there unless you are doing a quest.
I sent (teleported) the boys to the top to enjoy the view
I wanted a closer look at some ruins I saw in map view so had the boys walk around for a bit.
Then I sent them to the bridge so I could take a pretty picture

Sam found some bugs and a switch to open the room at the end of the corridor.
I had Beathan check the last room and there was another hole to inspect. I can't remember what it did but got a good laugh that both boys got bugs this time
I vaguely remembered there was something beneath the Abandoned Barn so sent the boys to investigate. They got a few coins, money bags and cheap relics.
Since the boys had been working hard I let them fish for a while
Beathan started another quest that required he find some gems and meet with a sim a couple of times so I left Sam fishing and they met up at the Market when he was done.
After the boys had played catch and done some skinny dipping, it was time for dinner.
They watched the stars after setting up camp.

No-one watched them eating this morning
After breakfast I sent the boys to the Temple of Heaven to do the quest for Pangu's Axe.
There was nothing for Sam to do while he waited for Beathan to clear the rubble, so I had him view some statues.
I always get a chuckle when sims stop to scratch their butts while clearing rubble

Although you can see the axe soon after entering, getting there is quite tricky with lots of stairs going up and down and curly hallways to be navigated. I could have cheated as I have in the past and just teleported my sim to the finishing line but the boys had time.
I don't feel so bad about sending boys into dive wells when they wish to do it
There were lots of steam traps and fortunately the boys kept rolling wishes to disarm them

Since Beathan took the quest, he was the one to collect it.

Once Beathan had the axe, it only made sense to try it out on a nearby boulder
On this level you can see all the steam traps the boys disarmed.
When they were done the boys made their way to Chen's house to report in. I had Sam prepare some sushi as it was dinnertime.

Since Beathan hasn't rolled a wish to go home, I will make Sam wait until the day is over as Beathan has another quest lined up.

Beathan won.
The boys headed to the Hot Springs. The first part of Beathan's quest was to crush the boulder which blocked the way to the dive well. In the past, I have just teleported my sims past the boulder to raid the tomb
But this time I can do it properly because Beathan has Pangu's Axe and the boys have all day
Beathan went first.
I could see a pressure plate behind Sam and had him stand on it. It extinguished the flames with a spray of water.
On the other side of the corridor was another dive well and I had Sam go first this time. He didn't want to go

Further on in the quest Beathan inspected a hole in the floor
Another level down! There were a few moveable statues, a hole in the floor and a pressure plate. This is a very easy quest.

This floor was a little more difficult but still easy. The central corridor had a moveable statue that had to be moved onto pressure plates in a particular order to access the side rooms.
The final level held the treasure and only one trap that couldn't be disarmed but could be walked around.

I don't understand why, but chatting led to wishes to skinny dip
Beathan might get all the bugs, but he certainly has all the luck when it comes to sparring and breath holding contests
I looked for Chen in map view so that Beathan could report in and saw that he was heading to the Hot Springs. I had Beathan meet him at the entrance.
I sent the boys to the Market and Sam made friends with the Book Merchant.
The boys had time to kill before dinner so they had a game of catch.
The boys enjoyed dim sum as their last meal in Shang Simla
I didn't bother setting up the big tent this time. The small tent would do for what they wanted
Before retiring to the tent, the boys watched the stars
They only had 4 hours before leaving. They rocked the tent and then spent some time in front of the fire.

The car was in Sam's inventory when they left home but somehow Beathan ended up driving on the way home.

I gave the boys the MA skills they earned on vacation and it triggered many wishes, including a wish to spar.
Brett rolled a wish to make pancakes after they had them for breakfast. He's such a cutie!

I'd seen the boys flirting earlier but Fife must have asked for a game of catch. I think it was Fife because my sims that love the outdoors are notorious for it.
When last I checked the old boys had been woohooing. They continued with their flirting in the main room
A little later I found them dancing
I decided it was baby time but I got no chimes and no pregnancy
The old boys were still dancing when Euan got home from school. Since they would be celebrating Euan's birthday soon, I dressed them with MC.
Since the couples only had eyes for each other, I sent Euan fishing until it was time to blow out the candles. He has two big fishing wishes locked in - one to master the skill and the other to catch every type of fish.

I love the sparring times, i sometimes force them to spar just to sit back and enjoy the fights, the animations are great, i guess as i love it in real life and watching how fighters move makes me enjoy the sims in it too, i'm a little addicted to it
they keep sparring they will level up quickly

You made an interesting point, both Michael and Jag have the loves outdoor trait yet Cyd is the only one i have seen playing catch mine just don't seem to do it, they like to be outdoors a lot but i never seen them wanting to play catch, i might put some balls in their inventory and see if it changes it, i love the animations i have seen in your game play hmm you have me thinking

lol at the CAS photo i have seen that so many times, in my first game play i had a toddler age up and it had that i was like what.. went into CAS and once i changed it, i find it happens to horses too with their manes. I do wonder why it does that but it's scary to see it the first time
Do Jag and Michael also have the friendly trait? I have found that my friendly sims that also have the loves the outdoors trait are the worst at wanting to play catch all the time.

While I watched my boys eat I was thinking that it won't be long before I need an extra table
Brett rolled a wish for a massage some time during the night. I had Fife take care of it after breakfast.
Sam rolled a wish to boast about his grandchildren when Brett was added to the household
Beathan woke with a wish to weed. I let him weed one plant. I haven't decided if I will make Euan and Greg self employed gardeners but I sent Euan out to water anyway to see if it would trigger a wish to level up. It did, but not the wish I wanted. It was a wish to reach level 6 and he is only at 4. 750 points is not enough to lock in for a wish that could take several days.
Fife and Brett rolled wishes to master gardening when they got a promotion the day before. They have a long way to go so I might cancel that wish even though it is worth 5,000 because they will have lots of toddler wishes soon.
Greg got home from a jog just as Euan finished watering and went straight for woohoo!
I sent Brett to the community garden since the family were running low on steak, patties, eggs and cheese.
I'd forgotten that Greg got the Party Animal trait when he became a teen
When Fife finished the gardening, I sent him to help Brett.
I gave Greg the Disciplined trait when he was a child because I had already decided he would be for Euan
When I zoomed out to look for Fife and Brett, I found them heading for the treehouse
I decided that Euan should do the proposing in this relationship because at least one of the boys should carry on the family name.

Greg and Euan rolled wishes to pillow fight after the proposal. I normally cancel the wishes but thought it might be cute
I saw the pool in Brett's queue and followed him. He took off his clothes and jumped in but it didn't last long because he had to get out to change into his pregnancy outfit.
He got the thumbs up on announcing the pregnancy
Sam had a wish to increase his athletic skill. Beathan took advantage of the break to paint. Although Beathan is artistic, he doesn't paint nearly as much as my other artistic sims.
Euan had been skinny dipping and when he got out he had this residual water effect
When Sam leveled up, I stopped his workout and he went straight to the trampoline
Since Fife burnt waffles recently, I had him prepare sushi for dinner
With all the party animals in this household, I expect there will be a lot of skinny dipping! When I was trying to get a pic of Fife massaging Brett, I saw Greg doing just that in the background

This is the second burglar I have had since tuning burglars out of my save. The first one I was able to reset before he got to the house but Euan, being brave, had already woken up by the time I noticed this one so I let it play out.
Even though Euan woke first, he took forever to get up and Greg beat him outside.
Euan had "fight" in his queue but it was all over by the time he got there

I actually would rather they didn't interact with the burglar because I have had issues in the past when my sims have tried to fight with him/her and become glitched afterwards. Every sim in the house will drop what they are doing just to run to the sim who got in the fight. They will even wake up and run to the sim. Annoying and can only be stopped by a MC reset which I hate doing to a sim I have been playing for a while.

Brett was craving pancakes
When Greg first arrived, he wanted to learn the gardening skill so I had him plant something to unhide the skills he got from Scouts. I sent Greg and Euan to the Town Hall after breakfast to sign up as self-employed gardeners. Both rolled wishes to garden so I had Greg water the plants. Euan's wish had to wait a little while I cleared a couple of other wishes he had.
Beathan and Euan woke with wishes to fish and Sam had a specific fish wish from his early morning fishing. Euan mastered fishing
He went through about 8 garlic and simply could not catch a vampire fish. I was getting frustrated so I sent him to the Science Lab and had him fish with garlic. He still couldn't catch a vampire fish but the robot fish gave him his wish
I sent everyone to the bowling alley when it opened. Greg had a wish to do a charming introduction. He met Saul Herrerra. I remember when Saul was a little boy. He was a school friend of Artair's and when he came over for a play date he delighted in scaring Aileas. Gotta love evil sims
I could see from Brett's thumbnail that he was tagging a wall but every time I tried to zoom in I kept getting blocked by walls. I thought he might be outside somewhere but he had chosen to tag the wall of the restroom.

I saw Euan and Greg moving towards the game table together and was worried they were both trying to play at the same time but Greg only wanted to watch.
After trying the pool trick again, Brett gave up and also played a game.
It must have been really good woohoo or Sam is excited about having done it in public
I was going to send the boys to the Bistro but Brett had a craving for cheesesteak so I sent the boys home for dinner.
