SIMS DISAPPEARING!

I am sure everyone reading this has already heard about this happening. There are a couple mods when left in game with the newest patch, make your sims DISAPPEAR randomly over time!
Here is the tweet with the mods:
So I took out those mods and put the updated ones back in. Then I had a sim disappear! I took all the updated mods out but my question is: WILL MY SIMS DISAPPEAR EVEN THOUGH I TOOK THE MODS OUT? I am not sure if the effects are still there or not, and it is weird since I updated the mods. I took the time to get a backup for my saves so I am back at the save before the sim disappeared. (Thanks to a hour of apple support) Can anyone tell me if they know if I took the mods out, if my sims will still disappear?

It would be best to also delete your cache files.

If I delete them, that will get rid if the mods entirely out of my game right?
