Thank you. Tropical destinations are so overdone and cliche in general... And then in The Sims series, it has been even worse. Not just in EA's creations, but in CC creations. It feels like 90% of the worlds that people make are tropical or some other form of perpetually warm climate. I hate to use the word 'boring', but it is to me.

I take solace in the couple of Greenland and Norway worlds I have in The Sims 3.

It's refreshing to find someone who also feels this way.

    Wow!!

I love all these destinations. Would be amazing to have something like this in the game.

Keeping fingers crossed for summer-destination in Greece with beautiful white houses and that amazing place in Iceland. Had never heard about it before.

I liked how Sims 2: Bon Voyage came with three very different vacation destinations - Three Lakes is already sort of covered by Granite Falls, but I loved how it came with a tropical place and one inspired by Japan too. A different vacation destination for each climate (since I tended to take Sims to Granite Falls for winter, Takemizu Village for spring and autumn, and the tropical one for summer).

Anything based off Japan would be really cool. :) Or any country from that neck of the woods! (A bit of a mix like Windenburg would be neat.) I'm excited we're finally getting some Asian stuff since Sims 4 has been really lacking so far when it comes to anything Asian. (And by that I mean all parts of Asia - excited to see the Indian stuff too in City Living.)

Somewhere with the aurora would be really neat - I wonder how that would work with the Sims 4 camera though? You aren't usually looking up at the sky so you could easily miss it.

Something like San Myshuno's festivals (assuming we all like how they work) would be neat to incorporate on a smaller scale in any new vacation destination.

Great inspirational photos! I live in Scandinavia and have already been on one of those Hurtigruten fjord cruises tho, so this concept isn't as fresh and exotic to me :P I do however fullheartedly agree with you that there are loads of interesting other options that are way more interesting and fun than tropical beach vacations.

These are some suggestions and ideas I have posted in a few other threads regarding destination packs:

"Other than a Werewolf GP similar to the vampire one we got and one with Witches (+ carnivals, astrology, fortune tellers & curses),
Seasons EP, University EP, some kind of hotel managing tropical & alpine pack with snorkling and diving/skiing and snowboarding,
and maybe even a UK inspired GP/EP centered around modern Royalty, I just want loads of destination worlds for travelling and adventuring sims.

I'd absolutely LOOOVE a Tibet/Nepal Adventure destination world with snowy mountains..
Exotic temples with monks and snow storms that keep you inside ( unless you want to die by getting stuck in snow or something or maybe stumble upon the rare Yeti ) and you could spend your time learning Kung Fu or meditating :D
I'd 100% prefer this over a regular China/Japan/Korea/Mongolia/Thailand vacation or whatever.. This is the one I want the most more than any other destination pack <3

Also I'd really really like to have a UAE/Istanbul Middle Eastern Arabian inspired one.. With desert adventures on camels, camping under the starts in bedouin tents, belly dancing and spice/perfume/carpet markets etc and some exotic architecture! Maybe you could stumble upon magic lamps and genies if you were lucky.

I'd also really like to have back the Egyptian Adventure destination.. I never played Sims 3 and I love Egypt. Pyramid exploration, tombs, curses and archaeology!!

Ooooh and I'd definitely love a Venice destination focused on culture and like ballet/opera/theater/renaissance art and perhaps with it's own masquerade festival or ball :D Maybe they could include a historian/merchant career or perhaps opera-singing/ballet-dancing/acting/sculpturing/perfumery skills. Or tailoring and luxurious fabric shops. Hmm.. Or antique auctions! Lot's of possibilities.

I also wouldn't mind a tropical volcanic tiki island destination maybe inspired by Hawaii or something with beaches and natives that worship the volcano god, but I'm not as interested in this as the other ones now that we have Jungle Adventure and it would be somewhat similar world.

Maybe an Australian outback adventure world could have some potential with exotic and dangerous animals and maybe a career as a zoologist or poison/reptile collector. At least the nature would be a bit different..

Another post also gave me the idea of a Prairie type destination with maybe a horse ranch and cowboys and some native american indian aesthetics or influences.. hmm.. definitely could be cool with some north american wildlife too.. And I don't know if it would fit in with the prairie/cowboy theme, but I really want totem poles!!"

Btw I'd also like really like some added complimentary content to the New Orleans inspired neighborhood of Willow Creek that we already have to make the atmosphere even more evocative, like voodoo and a witch doctor :) Maybe thrown in with the Witch/Carnival GP

I would rather a hundred times have a tropical neighborhood where my sims could live and for vacations some of these destinations you presented! I'm overwhelmed by how awesome is that place in Iceland :o

Wow. This is a great idea. When I made my suggestion I didn't even consider just mixing the Egyptian/pyramid aesthetic with Middle Eastern/Istanbul/UAE aesthetic. It would just make so much sense to include them together since Sims doesn't have to be 100% accurate. That way we could have both :D The pyraminds could be a field trip or just lay separately a bit away form the rest of the neighborhood on the world map :D

I would also like to add a casino style destination world to the suggestions, although I'd much rather prefer one inspired by Monte Carlo as opposed to Las Vegas.

I typically find our animals to be about as "exotic" as my two thumbs. :p

    and dangerous animals
Even the cute ones are dangerous.

I know this is super super late but we got Jungle Adventure!! So hmm... I wonder if they looked at this thread and similar topics, took our suggestions, and decided to start giving us different vacation locations from now on. Keep 'em coming EA!!

Meh, never mind. I didn't realize that this was a thread from 2016.
