Hello, I have problems with the sims 3. I have some CC I can't find in the game files or the launcher. I have CC hair and clothes I can not find and delete. Anyway to find it?
If the content is not in the Launcher and not in your game, then there is nothing to delete...okay, I take it you mean that sims are showing up having been assigned these hairs and clothes, but the items aren't really in the CAS catalogs?
One common source of unwanted CC like that would be downloaded sims and lots, especially through the Exchange but can also be from elsewhere. Content can "stick" to downloaded sims3packs made available that way and show up in all kinds of places within the game except for where we need it to be so it can be deleted.
The offending sim or lot needs to be identified and gotten rid of (or cleaned of unwanted content using a tool such as Custard) for a start or else the content will just keep coming back. Then we have to play games with the Launcher and our dbc files in the DCCache folder to get the unwanted items to reveal themselves on the Installed tabs. The challenge there is that the Launcher is not capable of displaying more than a fixed number of items per tab at a time.
