Apparently, there's a serious problem in the water lines for our immediate neighborhood. This is the third time this week, they've had to shut off our water. Yesterday, being Friday, I was up early, as usual, and grabbed my shower, washing my hair. Yay me. Then I started some laundry. Happily, that load was on the rinse cycle when the water got shut off. I discovered this, when I went to put it in the dryer. Tub was FULL of water. Yikes! (For a moment of sheer panic, I thought my machine had broken down. All, yes, I said ALL of my jeans were in that load.) I reset the machine to rinse only, and then saw it was on the last cycle. Yay.
Today, I took my leisure. My bad. I'm still up here in my loft office — in my robe! Now, I can't shower before I dress (ew). And I need to get my nails filled. Suffice it to say, I'm NOT A HAPPY CAMPER at the moment. Besides my two cups of half-caff, I need my shower in order to feel human. My son had to go out for a bit and came upon our immediate neighbor talking to one of the people working on the problem. Seems it's gotten worse and two houses down the block have flooded, so the water is off indefinitely. Did I mention I'm glad I washed my hair yesterday?
Oi! At least I've got some wet wipes … I don't know how I'm going to brush my teeth!
Please share your disasters. I'd like to think I'm not alone.

Last summer on a very hot sunny day, I walked several miles to the local Walmart to get some stuff I need. A total of nearly eight miles altogether. Needless to say, when I got back, I desperately needed a shower. I then discovered that the water had been shut off! I about cried. I could not stand the thought of staying like I was, drenched in sweat. I replaced my clothes with towels that I would wash before using again and sat in my bathroom until the water was turned back on.
We also had some water outages when I worked. Which meant... No bathrooms! NOT suitable working conditions, let me tell you. It's gross, but by the end of the shift we all stopped caring and used them anyway. Lol. Really, this was very uncomfortable for me, because when I do have to use a bathroom, I always want to leave it clean, or at least like it was before I used it. This was kind of mortifying for me... But the water outage happened so early in the shift, there wasn't much I could do.
On a slightly different - but still related - subject. Several years back our water heater went out. This jut had to happen when I was going for interviews for a job... We had to take me to my aunts' house so I could get an actual shower.

When I walk outside I always take a close look to the river thats all around (and even inside) my city cause we had a lot of rain then a lot of snow and now it's all melting and we had flood spike in many cities around , it wouldn't be the first time we get flooded, last time was in 2016 and we were traveling through the city in actual boats in the most flooded part
