Does anyone know how to fix an issue with autoscrolling?
When I open windows 10 applications, like the start menu, it scrolls down on its own. But browsing on chrome is fine. So it can't be the mouse. I've restarted my PC, unplugged my Bluetooth mouse and nothing has worked.
ETA: Also tried more than one mouse, and the issue still persists.
It happens when I use my wireless mouse to click inside the start menu. It scrolls down on any page in windows settings. It's super annoying. And any drop down menu online it scrolls right to the bottom.
Google says it could be a USB port problem, an Xbox controller problem or a mouse problem.
System restore doesn't remove your personal files but if you have installed a new program after the restore point (let's say the restore point you picked is in December but you have installed a new program in January), you will have to reinstall it again. Just be sure it's system restore and not system reset.
So if I just installed a virus protection software today, for example, I have to reinstall that? How do I even know when my restore point is? I'm so nervous to do it.

Yes.
They would put a date on that restore point.
Oh, also if you have just installed the Laundry Stuff Pack, you would have install it again, but maybe the whole game. I had this problem before and the game didn't recognize the pack being installed and gave some error that it can't open the pack. So I had to reinstall all the packs.

@DeKay so I just did a system restore and the problem is still there. Awe man. I'm thinking more and more that it's a virus or something.
Hey @DeKay so good news - I got it back!! But they couldn't identify the problem, and it just went away itself. Sooo bizarre. Ah well. Back to my life of simming! Hahaha.

Are you using a laptop or desktop?

Have you tried with a different mouse?
Or maybe do a system restore before the problem started?
Haven't done a system restore.. does that remove files like documents, or saves?

Or install Malwarebytes.

Yes, for both.
I think the system scan will take care of it automatically and the Malwarebytes will put them in quarantine.
Ok, thank so much. I'll try this out. Thanks for your help!
