Anyone else have a Kid that starting wearing a BEAR Suit on their own?

Well, you must have guessed already from the title.
Bronx Baller wants to be a Bear now, and his family is supportive.
But it just liked happened on it's own, shortly after the birth of his little sister. Screen popped up like " this is who i is now" or something along those lines.( I do have Parenthood EP ofcourse)
Anyone else out there in SIMWORLD come across a similar situation?

I haven’t had it personally, but I’ve read plenty about how this is a “phase” (introduced with Parenthood).
Don’t worry too much, your little Sim is not the first and won’t be the last.
It might even be related to the ‘stress’ of a new sibling.

Others Simmers may be able to advise on helping to get through this trying time.

Yeah, it surprised me when it happened, cuz I wasn't actively playing the family at the time and since there's no story progression, I didn't think that could happen unless I was playing with them. It's only happened once though, and the kid was in a family of 6 (3 sets of twins all close in age) and they rolled phases A LOT, which makes me wonder if they more kids there are in the family, the more likely the kids are to go into a phase.

 It makes me laugh almost everytime it happens. It's a childhood phase mostly, so eventually they'll grow out of it. You should see the "Loud" one, that one's more avoidable, but if you already have stereos in your house....lookout  .

The first thing my son said when he saw this screenshot was "He looks like a mommy bear with a baby bear." lol

Wouldn't be surprised. Had a family of four kids who seemed to be having a new phase practically every day.

Yep! I love how they’ll just strut around the house in it and their parents and siblings don’t even bat an eye. I always think, “Uh, you’re not even a little curious as to why there’s a fruit bear walking around your house?”

If you click on the child from the parents’ perspective, you even have the option to wear a bear suit with them. I believe having the child's family wear the suit with them helps get them through the phase faster.

oh geez, on the rolling phases. i have one household that is an adult caretaker and five unrelated teenagers (a boarding house). and..lets just say that caretaker had her work cut out for her. they existed before the parenthood pack and gina was the first played sim of mine to reach parenthood 10, just from constantly running around telling the mean sim to not be mean, cheering gloomy sim up, dealing with phases and mood swings and so much more. every day 2-3 of the five would have a new phase...

as for the bear thing, only one of my sim kids has gotten it so far, and for some reason, he's not putting the bear outfit on on his own, so gets a sad moodlet about not being himself or something. he's a disguised alien, so i'm wondering if that somehow has something to do with his not wearing the costume... his father and sister are both evil, so they're loving his sad moodlet. constant +1 happiness for those two, since evil sims get that for being around other sims in negative emotional states.

Yes. Currently I have only two households in my rotation save. Polly has decided to be a bear. In the other household, it's Joey, Jr. When the two families become one IE the eldest two marry, it should be interesting during family gatherings if the 'bears' decided to come out to party.

I have the same problem. Joey, Jr. walks around very glum. But, then again, his mother did ask him about the phase. Now, I'm wondering if that has something to do with his reticence to don the suit? :open_mouth:

I have a family where a couple adopted six toddlers and has been raising them the best they can (in my head it's a loving orphanage/foster care, although we don't have game mechanics for that). They're currently children and two of them are in the bear phase, 's hilarious.

Tip: take selfies as a bear, awesome photos! :D

Maybe that's so. My sim was an only child and he only had 2 phases his entire childhood.

There's Onyx in his bear suit. I was so surprised that he started wearing a bear suit on his own, I took a screenshot.

Funny coincidence, his baby brother's (the one with the curly black hair) name is Bear. :D

    So interesting new developments.
Moved the family with the bear boy to a new house, he started up with Bear suit again.
In the old house, it was consistently a purple bear suit- day after day.
However now he changes bear suit colors, pretty regularly....so basically yeah...

    Happy last Saturday of 2017!
Blessings in the new year <3

It usually happens when the kid is feeling left out or insecure, like after the birth of a new sibling.
