Description: A 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house on a 40x40 lot that cost about 180,000.
Details: I worked on this house for way too long and i'm not really happy with it... the outside feels too square and i think i over did it with the landscaping. I decorated it the way i wanted to, so change what you want. it kinda has a feel like someone's already living in it.

yay! I'm glad you like it too <3
i guess it shows when i actually want to work on the houses, not that i didn't want to build the other ones, but it felt really good to make this one (until near the end when my computer started to slow down more and more). maybe i just don't like cost limits :D

@envyfan, you are being WAY to critical of your work. It is stunning! I'll plop that thing next door to my Urban Oasis the next time I play Bridgeport. It's great. I totally relate to not always knowing when it's done, but you do reach a point when you just have to say "enough," There's always the opportunity to edit it once you place it in game to play. Usually to customize it to the Sims who will live there. But it's gorgeous as it. Great job.

PS The overhang on the second floor patio is brilliant. I never would have thought of it.

@Jude525 I know i'm being too critical. I just like things to be perfect by my standard, and my standards for myself are high when it comes to making things. you should see how long it takes me to do roofs... i gotten a little picky with them over the years. I'm a perfectionist and i have horrible motivation to finish anything, it's a really bad combo and why i haven't drawn much in the last year(s).
I am really glad you like the house <3

@Pinkiesweets4 your creation wish list 1-3, what exactly are you asking for? just rooms? like a bedroom or a playroom?
do you post them like you would a house but just a room?? or is there something i'm missing?

Okay, I totally get the roof thing. Roofs in TS3 can be soooo finicky and difficult to get just right. So, unless it's a really simple house, I am right there with you on that.

@Jude525 I love your Teresa Lisbon and Patrick Jane Sims. You did such a great job on them. I love the poses too!
Oh, and I'm so happy you found James Spader. It was so nice to see him up close, too!

@Envyfan, That is a terrific house! I can imagine all the time it took to make it. It's a house you can be proud of!

It's so nice to see early entries into the game! That might help get more people motivated to join in.

@SjappielovePaul hi, quick question, I'm not sure what style you want Adam Lambert to be in? (i worded that horribly) when i was more into him he had the black hair and punkish style, but looking up pictures of him i notice he has a bit more of a clean cut look now? (i clearly can't communicate properly tonight) And the public place you want, I'm having a hard time figuring out a place that all can enjoy and learn skills. the only thing i can think of is a rec center or something but that's too close to a library.

Item Title: Funke Family Part 2 ~ A Birthday Party for Baby Carol
Creation Wishlist Username and # of Item: @Ciane #1. a simple story

Imgur Link - here is where you can read the story:

    See teaser below.
    Description:

This Funke Family Part 2 is called A Birthday Party for Baby Carol. This is the story of Carol's wacky birthday party, celebrated at the Palmbury House. The Funke Family is a tester family for Sunset Valley. Their days could never be described as typical.

Note: this story grew way longer than I expected it to be, lol... you might not get through it in one sitting. I guess I got carried away in their fun. ;)
This story is a continuation of my first story, Funke Family Happenings.

Yippie! Today is Baby Carol's birthday! Today little Carol will transform from a baby into a child! The Funke family has invited their family and friends over to celebrate!

As you might remember from our previous story, the Funke family lives in Sunset Valley, in an old house called Ye Olde Tudor. Rhett is the slightly neurotic husband of Sabrina, a 'mostly level headed until she had three kids,' former scientist turned full time mother of three children; Irene, Spencer, and baby Carol. Along with the Funke family, Sabrina's younger brother, Justin Stevens, is staying with the Funkes after he fell upon some hard luck (he flunked out of college, then his parents gave him the boot). Or is he just a moocher? Rhett thinks so anyway, but all that aside, today is a day of happy times and celebration!

Some weeks ago, the Funke family joined the ranks of the elite tester families of Sunset Valley. The agency is very secretive about the selection process but we do know that Tester families move into brand new homes for a few months to test them out and work out the kinks, which all new homes are bound to have. It's the Tester Family's job to find out what those kinks are so they can be corrected before the house goes up for sale! Tester families even get extra $$$ bonuses for pointing out the really important flaws that somehow were overlooked during the initial inspection.

For the past few weeks, the Funkes have been testing a new home called the Palmbury House, where today, baby Carol will be celebrating her third, fourth, fifth, and sixth birthdays, all in one day! If that isn't cause for a blow out birthday bash, what is?!

Even though the Funkes are new to the process of house testing, the Sunset Valley Tester Home Agency loved the idea of the Funkes using the Palmbury House to celebrate the toddler's birthday party. This gives the agency more Sim bang for the Simoleon buck!

I'm going to be very specific, but it's not a problem if it's not completely like that; I want him to be like he's in his tour now. I saw him last monday and well... I will not tell you how I reacted, this forum couldn't handle :smirk:

I'll see if I can add some pictures later today!

The public place can be anything, a park, a library, an arcade hall, as long as there's something for every age group to do. Even if you built a casino with a daycare, it fits the bill :)

Wow, that was a long story, @funkeeferret. I hope you had fun writing it and that you have fun testing your new homes with the Funke family. I just want to point out that technically, little Carol did NOT CUT the doll's hair. She just pulled it. Semantics can be very important to curses, you know? Thank you for thinking of me and sharing your story. I am sure lots of others will enjoy reading it as well.

Thanks, @ciane, try telling that to Rhett. ;) But thanks for the info. It's much appreciated. I'll remember that for any future curses.
Yep, after that story, I promised myself no more long stories. I don't know how I let "simple story" get so carried away. :)

@funkeeferret Love the story so far! The way you make fun of the sims going from toddlers to instant child is SOOO funny. And this Sunset Valley Tester Home Agency is awesome. I think you'll start a trend.

This is a bit of a sad announcement but I need to make it...this is our last month of the Gift of Creation Game! Regina (@rnramey) has generously offered to sponsor this month and that will be the end. I was SOOO hoping that the store maintenance today would bring back the simpoints but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Anyway, it's been a FUN RUN. But I wanted to let everyone know to get those entries in before the month is out! Cause this is the last one.

Awwwww, that's too bad the game is ending. I totally understand though. This couldn't be helped. It was bound to happen with no ads coming in. Thank you so much for reviving and hosting this wonderful game, @ZeeGee. You were always right on top of things no matter what. You are definitely the Hostess with the Mostess. I've been very lucky in the game and I'm so very grateful for your time and generosity and that of the past and present sponsors and gifters. *sigh* Yes, it's been a FUN RUN for sure. :( Thanks again for everything! :)

Um, I don't know how the other participants feel, but I know I would be interested in continuing without prizes. Personally, it was never about that anyway, since I already own everything Sim 3 has to offer. I just enjoyed the inspiration and being able to fulfill someone else's wishes

Anyway, before I saw the announcement, I was coming on to comment that I've noticed something strange. Since I've started creating CelebriSims (did I just coin a new Sim's word?) I have been hyper aware of faces. The angles of noses and foreheads. The height and fullness of lips. And especially the depth that the bridge of the nose goes into the skull. I had NO idea it actually went in that deep in real people. I thought it was just a Sims slider thing. I've always been aware of ears. I have a fetish for ears. So, of course, CAS has very few adjustments for those :p

So just the same way that building made me more aware of architecture, playing around in CAS has made me more aware of human facial architecture. I figured y'all would find it as amusing as I do.

I'm sad to hear that @ZeeGee, but I do understand. I wouldn't mind continuing without prizes either, to be fair, I'm mostly the wishlist holder ;)
