Sims 4 won't start, help

So I was playing sims yesterday fine but just before I updated my origin today and I don't if that had a impact on it but its not working anymore. I press play in origin and it opens to a black screen and doesn't change, just stops responding. I am on a MacBook Air and I tried repairing my game but it didn't work. Please help and thank you in advance

It may be best to post about your issues in the Mac section of the forums. Mac simmers will assist you .

Try repairing it. If that doesn't work pull the Sims 4 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts to the Desktop and launch the game as new. If it's working move over your Saves and Tray folders to the newly created Sims 4 folder and see if you can play again.
