My computer has more ram

Okay so a long time ago I had a virus on my desktop here(it's all good) but this messed up my game so I reinstalled my games again. It was working fine a few weeks ago, but today I got the debug message, and I clicked no. The screen from the game shrunk down and was all weird colors. My dad added new ram, and we upgraded to a newer system, but all my sims stuff is from the old system.

You probably don't even need to ask for specs because this computer is from 9 years ago...

I was wondering if it's the new system?

It shouldn't be the new system or adding more RAM. I run Sims 3 just fine on Sierra (the current version of the Mac OS). Please give us your computer specs anyway so that if there is something more going on, we can help.

Please edit your post to remove the Serial Number and hardware UUID. Those are "Personal information" for your computer. @krabby_pattiess

Have you tried to start Sims 3 since this happened? Try this first. Move your Sims 3 folder to your Desktop (Documents>Electronic Arts>Sims 3). DO NOT DELETE IT! Next start up your game and see if it works ok. You will not have any of your saved games available to play as they are currently on your Desktop. Let me know what happens before you put back your saved games. :)

Well, it is on my desktop already, and I have tried playing it. We also got a new-ish hard drive, and maybe I should try to put my game in the new drive? Or just reinstall the whole game.

Reinstalling couldn't hurt. If you have an external hard drive, I highly recommend Time Machine. I've been able to "fix" my game that way, but reinstalling is probably (at least at first) the best way to go.
