Freerealestate cheat code doesn't work

My sims were living in a house. I moved them out, deleted the old house, dropped a new one in and tried to move them back in with free real estate, but the cheat code doesn't trigger. Also how do I rename a lot, it just appears in the list when you need to place a copy as Lot Name

For the cheat code, do you have testing cheats on (testingcheatsenabled true) - ( )? For naming a lot, there's an option when your in edit town/world mode when you click on a property to Edit Details. I think it looks like a piece of paper.

You have to use the "testingcheatsenabled true" cheat first. but make sure you do that before you enter the town. Then when you are in town, try the freerealestate cheat and it will work. I use it as well. and this is how i get it to work...i hope this helps you out!!

I found the edit details thing.

I entered testing cheats and it failed still. Had to motherlode cheat the money and do it that way
