Game Crashes

Does anyone else experience a lot of game crashes on their Mac?

I have started a fully new game (& removed all CC) but still have this issue. There's no real pattern. Game will run fine, but spontaneously crash when saving or traveling between lots. It's not every time, but happens every time I play at least once, up to five or so times before I just give up.

I have a Macbook Pro with 8GB RAM so I'm not sure what the issue is, specifically, just that it seems to randomly close when trying to save.

What exact Mac do you have? Need more info than just the installed RAM, including macOS version, graphics, CPU :)

I have a Macbook Pro - not the new one, it's the 'mid 2012' version but it was purchased new from Apple store in March 2014.

    OS: Sierra 10.12.2
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB
CPU: 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 2 slots of 4 GB, for total 8 RAM

    Anything else that may help?

Im not good with Macs but it seems to be way under recommended specs. Though maybe it works different on Macs than other laptops/pcs

Yeah but thats only for the base game, of you use the majority of the packs it adds up and those specs arent viable anymore.
    What packs do you use?

Your specs. are absolutely fine and meet the minimum requirements for the game. However, the Intel HD 4000 isn't particularly powerful and there have been issues with it right from the beginning. Please go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and drag the Options.ini file to the Trash. Load your game and see how it performs. Trashing that file resets the graphic settings to default based on what the game thinks your Intel chipset is capable of :)

I do have all the packs, lol. Every one, whoops.

Thank you so much @BluebellFlora for the link - I didn't realize it might be a graphics card issue. I will try that!
