How's your gameplay going?
Last time I started it up it crashed right away, but that was a while ago. Mabi has a timed item event going on that I have been focusing on("Training Seals"(used for advancing a skill's training without going through the normal training requirements...such as getting and reading this really hard-to-acquire skillbook...(high-ranked cooking skills require cookbooks normally in addition to actually using the skill...and the place to get what you need to buy them is HARD...as in I have never yet successfully completed it even once and I need to at least 10 times to afford the book...) Dx Training Seals come in different strengths but 2 of these per rank will allow me to circumvent the need for the books completely) are hard to get usually, requiring days of gameplay to get the "Adventurer's Seals" to afford even one, but right now just have a character logged in for long enough and they get one, and they are transferable to my main!) but that ends Tuesday night then I'll be back into the Sims a bit more. Not exclusively though, I've got a few friends joining Mabi in the next week or so and I promised to help them out in game so I need to at least drop in every so often.
@Mikezumi My save file is just so big, I think is the problem. I had cleaned it down to around 300 something MB only to have it shoot back up to 510 MB after the move to a new town! Though I suppose as long as it's functioning...They haven't had much contact with Bridgeport friends or Starlight Shores locals since the move so it wouldn't be the end of the world if I had to save them to the library and place them in a fresher game, but it would feel like their history wouldn't be the same.

Seth is really hitting it off with Becky from school, despite all of the drama his family is going through.
Becky's influence and his goings on have molded Seth into a bit of a different person. No longer the straight A, driven, and motivated teen he once was.
Meanwhile, while hunting for gems for a school scavenger hunt, Alexis saw an image that would inspire her to pursue a singing career...
While they were out, Seth and Alexis decided to go on Operation: New Dad Hunt!

The guy at the casino seemed mildly interested...but Mia was less than enthusiastic when her son told her.
Instead of going on this "date" her son set her up on, Mia went to the spa...

While it's all well and good to discuss options or competition for the Sims, and that there may have been a "Vie" that is legitimate, this Project Vie, the supposed life simulator competitor to the Sims is a hoax and a lie.
To the perpetrator, you know who you are, and you let this go far too far. It isn't funny, it's childish and ridiculous and you're getting people's hopes up for nothing but your own inane amusement.
Grow up, for pete's sake.
@bekkasan , I promise to not post after I take my Nyquil, that stuff makes me super loopy! Connor and Dylan will never really happen...Dylan is happy with Penny, and Connor is doomed to be forever alone...

The Defining Moment
A week passed and Al visited Sam every single day. There was just one concern though...Sam never spoke a word to him. Day after day Al would address his best friend, offering comfort, nearly begging him to speak, but it was to no avail. It wasn't that Sam was angry with Al, on the contrary, he was just simply too depressed to speak. Al knew that. It worried him though and whenever he would find himself right back in the Imaging Chamber after visiting with Sam, he would utter a silent prayer to the great Healer of the universe that the next day...Sam would speak.
Two more days passed...still not a peep out of Sam. Al's visits had become shorter and shorter as a result. But I will NEVER give up on him, Al thought with determination, I'll visit him every day even if he never speaks again! Although he groaned in his heart that that would never be the case! Oh God why have you forsaken him? Al found himself asking all too often. If there was ever a time Sam needed a blessing...it was now.
The third day of the second week came and Al appeared to Sam the same time each morning like he always did. Sam stood near the back door of the house, overlooking his garden, just staring into nothingness. Al crept closer and asked, c'o'c'k'i'n'g his head to the side trying to get Sam to look at him, "Sam? Are you alright?"
There was no response, but Sam did meet his gaze.
"You feel like talking today?"
Sam gave a light shrug. "You're stuck in the couch Al."
"Wha-?" Al began to ask, looking down. Sure enough it was true.
"Huh," he said, "would you look at that. One of the joys of being a hologram," he grinned stepping forward a little to get out. Then it hit him. "Hey!" he cried. "You spoke! Thank God!"
"Yeah," Sam mumbled.
"It goes without saying kid, but I was worried about you," Al said, drawing in a puff of cigar smoke and blowing it out. "A lot!"
"Sorry, I just...needed some time to process everything."
Al nodded, understanding. Then he noticed Sam give him a distasteful look as he studied his friend from head to toe.
"Geez Al," he began, "It's been two years since we've last seen each other and you STILL haven't changed out your wardrobe?"
"Hey!" Al countered, but quickly put a smile on his face. "Why would a man as sophisticated as myself want to change out looks that are so fitting for him?"
"Fitting? C'mon Al, how you ever got women in the past wearing all that has been beyond me."
"Well, I happen to like my style thank you very much."
"How does Beth feel about it?"
Blowing out some more smoke, Al replied with a shrug, "Eh...she didn't like it at first, but she's getting used to it."
Rolling his eyes Sam felt sorry for the poor woman, but he shrugged it off. There were a couple of important things he wanted to discuss with Al. However he couldn't help asking first, "So how's Donna?"
Al stood still for a moment, lowering his cigar as he thought about how to break even more sad news. "She's doing alright," he said, "she's left the Project though. It was just...too much for her."
Sam nodded. That reality stung a little bit, but he honestly couldn't blame her. "So," he said, "The Project is still going on then?" He remembered the continued threats of de-funding.
"Well," Al began with the cigar between his teeth now, "Four years after you left we began calling it Operation: Retrieval instead of Project Quantum Leap. It became a mission instead of a project which helped us get the continued funding so we could get you home."
Sam lowered his head. He didn't have to say what he was thinking. Al knew.
"But since that isn't a possibility anymore," Al sighed, removing the cigar, "Donna felt her work was done and...she left." He half shook his head in sympathy. "I'm sorry Sam."
"It's ok Al," Sam said, while another reality hit him like a ton of bricks. "But that means you'll lose the funding and you won't be able to communicate with me anymore!" The thought freaked him out a bit, especially since he knew he would be staying in this world for the rest of his life.
"Relax," Al calmed, gesturing with his hands. "What makes you think we told the government that little detail of you not coming home?" He winked.
A smile crept upon Sam's lips.
"Don't you worry about it kid...I'm taking care of it."
He always did, with his connections from being a Navy Admiral and all. "Thanks Al," Sam said indebtedly.
Al let out a puff of smoke and half nodded.
"I was just hoping," Sam began again, looking down, "that I could talk with Donna again, you know," he looked up, "through that telepathy technology you all came up with." He cracked a smile. "That was pretty ingenious. Who invented that?"
"Gushie," Al replied with his arms stretched out in surprise, "Can you believe that!?"
"Not really," he chuckled, but got serious again. "So...could I speak with her?"
Al had to choose his words carefully with this one, but it was necessary to let Sam know the truth about this newfound technology. "The telepathy is not exactly safe Sam, that's why we didn't use it very much."
Sam looked upon his friend questionably.
"According to Gushie and Ziggy, it tends to damage brain cells and could cause permanent brain damage with prolonged use."
"That's a risk I'm willing to take," Sam declared, stepping forward.
"Sam!" Al addressed firmly, causing Sam to stop in his tracks. "Donna didn't tell any of us where she went."
The glimmer of hope in Sam's countenance fell upon hearing that.
"Why!?"
"Like I said before Sam, it was just too much for her to handle." Al placed his hands in his pockets and sighed. "Dr. Beeks has been informing me over the years about the effects your absence has been having upon Donna's mental health."
Sam looked away. He could only imagine.
"It's affecting her physical health as well," Al continued. "She just...can't do it anymore Sam."
Now Sam was fighting back tears. "But Al," he cried, "you said there was no way I could get home being in this world, but what if God," he paused, scolding himself for bringing Him up, "leaped me back to Earth? Then I'd be able to get home to her, right!?"
Running a hand over his face, Al replied, "Possibly. But we were still trying to figure that out remember?"
"D****t!" Sam cried, turning away from Al. He felt so defeated.
"Sam...," Al addressed, but he stopped, giving his friend a few moments. When those moments passed Sam turned to face Al again, ready to continue the discussion.
"This is your destiny Sam," Al continued. "God's plan for you!"
"Please don't mention God Al, I'm still a little upset with Him."
"Well, stop it!" Al ordered sharply. "And get a grip on yourself. Where's the Sam Beckett I know!? Telling me not to mention God...
I know you feel betrayed, but God does not betray. He simply does what is needed to carry out His grand plan which is always for our betterment whether we can see it or not! That's why faith is so important."
He stopped, letting that sink into Sam a bit. "You have been called of Him to make the world a better place whether it's on Earth or here. I will not watch your faith falter over all this. You're better than that Sam! Now buck up!"
There was a period of dead silence.
Sam knew Al was right, but he couldn't help shaking his head in disbelief muttering, "I just can't believe this is happening Al."
Al gulped. "I know, kid," he said calmly now, digging the tip of his shoe into the carpet. When he looked up, Sam continued to stand there with the most horribly crushed look upon his face.
Al didn't want to say it, but knew he needed to. "You can do this Sam," he started, "just like you always have."
There was a bit of silence again.
"Donna's moving on," Al continued, "it's time you do the same."
With his hands clenched into fists and resting them on his hips, Sam looked down nodding in agreement among his whirlwind of emotions as the tears came streaming down his cheeks. He didn't want to move on. He wanted to know RIGHT NOW what God's continued plan was for him, but that was something he was just going to have to figure out and...he couldn't do it ignoring God anymore. He needed His help and guidance. He needed to have FAITH!
"You'll be ok Sam," Al assured, breaking Sam out of his thoughts. He wished he could pat his friends shoulder for comfort and reassurance.
Sam wiped at his nose. "I know Al," he said, "Honestly though," he paused, meeting Al's gaze, "I don't even remember what it's like to be with Donna. Isn't that sad? I mean, the memories are still there, deep within my heart, but... it's been so long that..." he couldn't continue.
That reality pained him and made him feel awful.
The response Al gave him wasn't at all what he expected. "Well," the man with the cigar began, "that's a start."
Have you ever tried Mucinex? It is hands down the best cold medicine I have ever used. Nyquil never did anything for me but make me drowsy.
@bekkasan I am so happy about how Seth turned out! The first of Mia's offspring whose father was a sim I created. This is why I have such high hopes for Cecilia and Maria!
Seth has never been to Monte Vista...but he just might have to visit now!
In Mia's defense, literally all of her children (and I mean literally all 4 of them) were unintentional. They were all products of a mod that shall not be named's "risky woohoo" feature.
Amir rushed home to break the news to Devin. Though he was shocked and a bit upset, Amir was able to smooth things over.
He convinced Devin to go back to Mia's house with him. She needed them. Amir isn't the type to hold grudges, and Devin was beginning to understand why. He had been so upset since he broke it off with Mia for the second time...but the anger was exhausting. Devin was having a hard time even sitting down a writing.
But first, Amir had a surprise for Devin.
When they arrived, Amir told Mia about he and Devin. She took it fairly well considering everything that has happened.
Devin initially wasn't able to treat Mia kindly...
But Amir calmed him down and assured him that it was for the best.
A smile is a good start, Devin!
Amir and Mia went to check on the babies. Mia thanked him for what he had done. She might not be the most faithful person in the world, but Mia never meant to hurt anyway. All of the betrayal in her life was a huge weight on her shoulders. Running into someone so calm about it all like Amir was a pleasant change of pace.
This is rare sight!
While all of the grown ups were making up, Seth checked in on his new sisters.
In fact, as the days progressed, he took care of them more than his mom did!
Single and ready to mingle, Mia went on the search for a new fella. Maybe one she won't ruin her relationship with this time.
Javed Meir caught her eye, so she went out to meet with him.
He had a girlfriend. >:( Looks like Mia's search is not yet over! I refuse to break another couple up!
@emorrill the scary part is that they don't just think it's normal, but they think it's attractive!
The book's goal was clearly not meant go glorify abusive relationships, it was just supposed to be kin.k.y. But it does hold within it a frightening peek into the psyche of a shocking number of women these days. They find an abusive manipulator like Christian Grey to be attractive? I know as well as anyone that sometimes you just like the bad guys more than the good...but I dunno. It is too much in the case of Christian Grey because he isn't presented as a bad guy, he's presented as appealing.
Regardless, I did get a kick out of your comment! Whether they are too weird or not, the constant in those books and movies is that they are still teen fiction and, in that, are terrible in the best way possible. Lol
Though I am not 100% sure a woman Mia's age would land the lead role in a teen fiction adaptation.
Actually, as I was taking photos for that part, I imagined the movie was based off of Devin's newest romance novel I had him write: "So Wrong, So Right"

The really scary part is that whole book started as pardon my french CR*AP Twilight Fanfiction, I actually read part of it when it was posted on fanfiction.net a bunch of years back. It was called Master of the Universe. It was horribly written which is one reason I stopped reading, the other was the subject matter, not my cup of tea. So for all the Twilight haters who love the Gray series, Christian was Edward!!! She just changed all the names from the Twilight characters to her own names. There are MUCH better stories on that site.
That's CRAZY!!! So...the Author of 50 Shades is the same as the one who wrote on fanfiction.net right? Or did someone else steal it?

@emorrill Thank you All good things must come to an end I will hang in there a bit longer because there are still a couple of uni daddies I want to try but I might just go on with Jensen and the kids in the household now and discard the extended family. I can always go back and save them later if there are some I want to keep for future use.

Depressing day. I deleted most of my households and am stating over. For some odd reason many saved games were dropped, households broken up and couples separated. I just threw in the towel on all the ones I could not return to the state I'd left them in. I spent days repairing, did a complete removal and reinstalled. That got most of my objects back but did not repair damaged households. So, tomorrow is an other day, as Scarlett often said. I'll have some new beginnings tomorrow.

...RE: bad boys. I'm not attracted to them either. A man can be strong, even a little dangerous, and still be a hero--someone who doesn't prey on the weak or keep others in subservience. Domineering males and abusers in RL are not romantic to me in any way. Their pseudo-power is never safe. They're nothing but bullies.

Ghost woohoo is always fun! I love when my old sims come back in the dead of night and have a little fun with the still living spouse. Of course it wasn't so much fun when one of my elders became pregnant because of it LOL Although I did get a ghost baby so it wasn't so bad

@emorrill Great update! It looks a little comic relief worked wonders in getting him to break the silence It's heartbreaking that God's plan may not include him going home to Donna, but the big picture sometimes means sacrifice at the smaller level.
I haven't quite decided who the next daddy will be but they are in my bin waiting for my decision

About 50 Shades - I do think there's no reason to worry about "women's psyche" - I believe most people of any gender are smart enough to distinguish fictional tropes from reality. I'm sure most of the readers were just skimming quickly through the pages to get to the dirty bits anyway, and that's great - more power to them. I have to admit I love the old-fashioned "good and naive girl melts the heart of tortured antihero" romance trope myself, and I believe that's what the author was going for. But because her writing is so bad, Ana is not just naive, she sounds like she has the brain of a small child. And Christian is not mysterious and tortured, just a very creepy creep. (<- I'm so eloquent, am I not? ) So the result was a romance between a creep and a child, which is just eww.
@Charlottesmom , that's the first time I've seen a sim give flowers to Grim, other than the death flower! I'm sure Grim appreciated it.
@emorrill , I had to laugh at Al being stuck in the couch. Was that just an accident you incorporated into the story because it fits in with him being a hologram? Poor Sam, processing the news he got cannot be easy! I searched for pictures of the original Al and I like how you made his sim version. Like Sam, he too has a very expressive face!
First I started making a really pretty sim ... but only got to play 20 minutes.That is my update ,had several appointments today and a luncheon with teh ladies then had to get groceries and was tired.But my sim is cute just need to finish her.
I've been out all afternoon. Just got home and turned on the computer which is now loading my game. I did a little bit of singing practice and now I'm watching TV while my game loads. I'm using my tablet.
@Charlottesmom my little avatar dog did only that one bark while I was recording. I think he thought he heard something outside. My avatar here is a photo of him. He is only a little under 9 kilos.

Seth is really hitting it off with Becky from school, despite all of the drama his family is going through.
Becky's influence and his goings on have molded Seth into a bit of a different person. No longer the straight A, driven, and motivated teen he once was.
Meanwhile, while hunting for gems for a school scavenger hunt, Alexis saw an image that would inspire her to pursue a singing career...
While they were out, Seth and Alexis decided to go on Operation: New Dad Hunt!

The Defining Moment
A week passed and Al visited Sam every single day. There was just one concern though...Sam never spoke a word to him. Day after day Al would address his best friend, offering comfort, nearly begging him to speak, but it was to no avail. It wasn't that Sam was angry with Al, on the contrary, he was just simply too depressed to speak. Al knew that. It worried him though and whenever he would find himself right back in the Imaging Chamber after visiting with Sam, he would utter a silent prayer to the great Healer of the universe that the next day...Sam would speak.
Two more days passed...still not a peep out of Sam. Al's visits had become shorter and shorter as a result. But I will NEVER give up on him, Al thought with determination, I'll visit him every day even if he never speaks again! Although he groaned in his heart that that would never be the case! Oh God why have you forsaken him? Al found himself asking all too often. If there was ever a time Sam needed a blessing...it was now.
The third day of the second week came and Al appeared to Sam the same time each morning like he always did. Sam stood near the back door of the house, overlooking his garden, just staring into nothingness. Al crept closer and asked, c'o'c'k'i'n'g his head to the side trying to get Sam to look at him, "Sam? Are you alright?"
There was no response, but Sam did meet his gaze.
"You feel like talking today?"
Sam gave a light shrug. "You're stuck in the couch Al."
"Wha-?" Al began to ask, looking down. Sure enough it was true.
"Huh," he said, "would you look at that. One of the joys of being a hologram," he grinned stepping forward a little to get out. Then it hit him. "Hey!" he cried. "You spoke! Thank God!"
"Yeah," Sam mumbled.
"It goes without saying kid, but I was worried about you," Al said, drawing in a puff of cigar smoke and blowing it out. "A lot!"
"Sorry, I just...needed some time to process everything."
Al nodded, understanding. Then he noticed Sam give him a distasteful look as he studied his friend from head to toe.
"Geez Al," he began, "It's been two years since we've last seen each other and you STILL haven't changed out your wardrobe?"
"Hey!" Al countered, but quickly put a smile on his face. "Why would a man as sophisticated as myself want to change out looks that are so fitting for him?"
"Fitting? C'mon Al, how you ever got women in the past wearing all that has been beyond me."
"Well, I happen to like my style thank you very much."
"How does Beth feel about it?"
Blowing out some more smoke, Al replied with a shrug, "Eh...she didn't like it at first, but she's getting used to it."
Rolling his eyes Sam felt sorry for the poor woman, but he shrugged it off. There were a couple of important things he wanted to discuss with Al. However he couldn't help asking first, "So how's Donna?"
Al stood still for a moment, lowering his cigar as he thought about how to break even more sad news. "She's doing alright," he said, "she's left the Project though. It was just...too much for her."
Sam nodded. That reality stung a little bit, but he honestly couldn't blame her. "So," he said, "The Project is still going on then?" He remembered the continued threats of de-funding.
"Well," Al began with the cigar between his teeth now, "Four years after you left we began calling it Operation: Retrieval instead of Project Quantum Leap. It became a mission instead of a project which helped us get the continued funding so we could get you home."
Sam lowered his head. He didn't have to say what he was thinking. Al knew.
"But since that isn't a possibility anymore," Al sighed, removing the cigar, "Donna felt her work was done and...she left." He half shook his head in sympathy. "I'm sorry Sam."
"It's ok Al," Sam said, while another reality hit him like a ton of bricks. "But that means you'll lose the funding and you won't be able to communicate with me anymore!" The thought freaked him out a bit, especially since he knew he would be staying in this world for the rest of his life.
"Relax," Al calmed, gesturing with his hands. "What makes you think we told the government that little detail of you not coming home?" He winked.
A smile crept upon Sam's lips.
"Don't you worry about it kid...I'm taking care of it."
He always did, with his connections from being a Navy Admiral and all. "Thanks Al," Sam said indebtedly.
Al let out a puff of smoke and half nodded.
"I was just hoping," Sam began again, looking down, "that I could talk with Donna again, you know," he looked up, "through that telepathy technology you all came up with." He cracked a smile. "That was pretty ingenious. Who invented that?"
"Gushie," Al replied with his arms stretched out in surprise, "Can you believe that!?"
"Not really," he chuckled, but got serious again. "So...could I speak with her?"
Al had to choose his words carefully with this one, but it was necessary to let Sam know the truth about this newfound technology. "The telepathy is not exactly safe Sam, that's why we didn't use it very much."
Sam looked upon his friend questionably.
"According to Gushie and Ziggy, it tends to damage brain cells and could cause permanent brain damage with prolonged use."
"That's a risk I'm willing to take," Sam declared, stepping forward.
"Sam!" Al addressed firmly, causing Sam to stop in his tracks. "Donna didn't tell any of us where she went."
The glimmer of hope in Sam's countenance fell upon hearing that.
"Why!?"
"Like I said before Sam, it was just too much for her to handle." Al placed his hands in his pockets and sighed. "Dr. Beeks has been informing me over the years about the effects your absence has been having upon Donna's mental health."
Sam looked away. He could only imagine.
"It's affecting her physical health as well," Al continued. "She just...can't do it anymore Sam."
Now Sam was fighting back tears. "But Al," he cried, "you said there was no way I could get home being in this world, but what if God," he paused, scolding himself for bringing Him up, "leaped me back to Earth? Then I'd be able to get home to her, right!?"
Running a hand over his face, Al replied, "Possibly. But we were still trying to figure that out remember?"
"D****t!" Sam cried, turning away from Al. He felt so defeated.
"Sam...," Al addressed, but he stopped, giving his friend a few moments. When those moments passed Sam turned to face Al again, ready to continue the discussion.
"This is your destiny Sam," Al continued. "God's plan for you!"
"Please don't mention God Al, I'm still a little upset with Him."
"Well, stop it!" Al ordered sharply. "And get a grip on yourself. Where's the Sam Beckett I know!? Telling me not to mention God...
I know you feel betrayed, but God does not betray. He simply does what is needed to carry out His grand plan which is always for our betterment whether we can see it or not! That's why faith is so important."
He stopped, letting that sink into Sam a bit. "You have been called of Him to make the world a better place whether it's on Earth or here. I will not watch your faith falter over all this. You're better than that Sam! Now buck up!"
There was a period of dead silence.
Sam knew Al was right, but he couldn't help shaking his head in disbelief muttering, "I just can't believe this is happening Al."
Al gulped. "I know, kid," he said calmly now, digging the tip of his shoe into the carpet. When he looked up, Sam continued to stand there with the most horribly crushed look upon his face.
Al didn't want to say it, but knew he needed to. "You can do this Sam," he started, "just like you always have."
There was a bit of silence again.
"Donna's moving on," Al continued, "it's time you do the same."
With his hands clenched into fists and resting them on his hips, Sam looked down nodding in agreement among his whirlwind of emotions as the tears came streaming down his cheeks. He didn't want to move on. He wanted to know RIGHT NOW what God's continued plan was for him, but that was something he was just going to have to figure out and...he couldn't do it ignoring God anymore. He needed His help and guidance. He needed to have FAITH!
"You'll be ok Sam," Al assured, breaking Sam out of his thoughts. He wished he could pat his friends shoulder for comfort and reassurance.
Sam wiped at his nose. "I know Al," he said, "Honestly though," he paused, meeting Al's gaze, "I don't even remember what it's like to be with Donna. Isn't that sad? I mean, the memories are still there, deep within my heart, but... it's been so long that..." he couldn't continue.
That reality pained him and made him feel awful.
The response Al gave him wasn't at all what he expected. "Well," the man with the cigar began, "that's a start."
A start in the direction of moving on.

@bekkasan I am so happy about how Seth turned out! The first of Mia's offspring whose father was a sim I created.
Seth has never been to Monte Vista...but he just might have to visit now!
In Mia's defense, literally all of her children (and I mean literally all 4 of them) were unintentional. They were all products of a mod that shall not be named's "risky woohoo" feature.
Amir rushed home to break the news to Devin. Though he was shocked and a bit upset, Amir was able to smooth things over.
He convinced Devin to go back to Mia's house with him. She needed them. Amir isn't the type to hold grudges, and Devin was beginning to understand why. He had been so upset since he broke it off with Mia for the second time...but the anger was exhausting. Devin was having a hard time even sitting down a writing.
But first, Amir had a surprise for Devin.
When they arrived, Amir told Mia about he and Devin. She took it fairly well considering everything that has happened.
Devin initially wasn't able to treat Mia kindly...
But Amir calmed him down and assured him that it was for the best.
A smile is a good start, Devin!
Amir and Mia went to check on the babies. Mia thanked him for what he had done. She might not be the most faithful person in the world, but Mia never meant to hurt anyway. All of the betrayal in her life was a huge weight on her shoulders. Running into someone so calm about it all like Amir was a pleasant change of pace.
This is rare sight!
While all of the grown ups were making up, Seth checked in on his new sisters.
In fact, as the days progressed, he took care of them more than his mom did!
Single and ready to mingle, Mia went on the search for a new fella. Maybe one she won't ruin her relationship with this time.
Javed Meir caught her eye, so she went out to meet with him.
He had a girlfriend. >:( Looks like Mia's search is not yet over!
Great update but I fear it's the calm before the storm!

It's a family thing.
Depressing day. I deleted most of my households and am stating over. For some odd reason many saved games were dropped, households broken up and couples separated. I just threw in the towel on all the ones I could not return to the state I'd left them in. I spent days repairing, did a complete removal and reinstalled. That got most of my objects back but did not repair damaged households. So, tomorrow is an other day, as Scarlett often said. I'll have some new beginnings tomorrow.

...RE: bad boys. I'm not attracted to them either. A man can be strong, even a little dangerous, and still be a hero--someone who doesn't prey on the weak or keep others in subservience. Domineering males and abusers in RL are not romantic to me in any way. Their pseudo-power is never safe. They're nothing but bullies.

Ghost woohoo is always fun! I love when my old sims come back in the dead of night and have a little fun with the still living spouse. Of course it wasn't so much fun when one of my elders became pregnant because of it LOL Although I did get a ghost baby so it wasn't so bad

About 50 Shades - I do think there's no reason to worry about "women's psyche" - I believe most people of any gender are smart enough to distinguish fictional tropes from reality. I'm sure most of the readers were just skimming quickly through the pages to get to the dirty bits anyway, and that's great - more power to them. I have to admit I love the old-fashioned "good and naive girl melts the heart of tortured antihero" romance trope myself, and I believe that's what the author was going for. But because her writing is so bad, Ana is not just naive, she sounds like she has the brain of a small child. And Christian is not mysterious and tortured, just a very creepy creep. (<- I'm so eloquent, am I not?

@emorrill , I had to laugh at Al being stuck in the couch. Was that just an accident you incorporated into the story because it fits in with him being a hologram? Poor Sam, processing the news he got cannot be easy! I searched for pictures of the original Al and I like how you made his sim version. Like Sam, he too has a very expressive face!
First I started making a really pretty sim ... but only got to play 20 minutes.That is my update ,had several appointments today and a luncheon with teh ladies then had to get groceries and was tired.But my sim is cute just need to finish her.
