Congrats on becoming a full member. You can now make a signature, maybe with a Wishlist link in it
Thank you, angeljess26! I'd wanted to join the Gifting Directory, but didn't feel that I should before I was a member ... due in part to the fact that I couldn't edit. But when I was looking at the guidelines, I realized I'm not ready to participate anyway!
You see, before I found Edd, I used my Wishlist to catalog everything I had and wanted. So it's far from clean! I have HUNDREDS of items on there and many doubles! And, for some reason, I'm only able to delete four items from it at a time. If I try to do more than that, the site doesn't register that I've done anything at all. Then the Wishlist is reloaded with all of my hundreds of items still there.
It takes a long time to whittle down a list of hundreds of items when you can only take away four at a time. And while I've now got it down to the 400s from the 700s, it's still going to take a little more time before I'm ready to join the Gifting Directory and post my Wishlist!
@JovialJoy That's what I use my wishlist for too! I keep a note of anything I want along with the cheapest item in each set so I can take advantage of the CYS bonus when I get around to buying it. Though mine is only about 20 items, not 700! o.o
Hey everyone! This thread has been busy lately. I've only been lurking but wanted to say hello and thanks to everyone who is keeping this thread going.
I got to pick up Palace of Versailles for 80 points last night! Before MMAO stopped working, I got a bundle with stuff from that set for 46% off! So I got it and the set ended up super cheap! Kinda makes up for missing the Olympian Physique deal. (looked at the wrong time on the spreadsheet)
When I was spending some time with Edd, and using my browser's "find" feature on the front page, I noticed a few things. And being that you seem so diligent about upkeep around here, I thought you'd want to know!
Hope this is a help and not a nuisance! Now, back to Edd!
Absolutely not a nuisance at all. I am only part of a team that goes back many threads and years. The thread and the spreadsheet would not be created or perfected without the assistance of everyone. Thanks for being a member of the DD team.
My calculations were spot on! I got all three sets (BaHaus, Luxury Resort Attire and Palace of Versailles) for the green download button! Yay! I missed one of the individual items I had wanted but that isn't such a big deal, it will cost me when I go to get the set though, but not that much. Ah well. But I'm psyched that I got the ones I really wanted to. Yay that you got BahHaus, too @JoeJude16. Sorry that you missed it, @Kittycata87 hopefully you can snatch it in November. And @JovialJoy "Edd" I love that. Maybe when they get the site fixed you can edit your Wishlist more expeditiously and then I'm looking forward to seeing you over there. I think it will only serve to bring you and Edd closer. lol
As of 12-18-16 I joined the Own The Store Club! Now I get to pay it forward! Thanks to everyone who helped me get here. You guys are amazing. ^_^ Love to you all!!

So, Jodi, @Me1620, I've basically been ignoring the Set Tracking tab because I don't get how to use the Group Number feature. But, based on a comment you made, I went back to look at using it for the My CYS feature, which I either hadn't noticed or at the least didn't realize carried over automatically to the main spreadsheet. OMG! So cool! I'd been filling that in manually on each occurrence of a set. Also, it really hadn't penetrated that this was a comprehensive list of the whole store, so I went through tonight and updated the whole thing with current CYS numbers and filled in "Owned" where appropriate. Of course, it's always a thrill seeing those rows turn green, but more so when the list represents the whole store and not just the DD list!
Also, in the process, I realized that I was only 100 SP from completing October 2011, so nabbed that, which basically meant Boho Men's, since I had the rest. AND, after receiving the casino as a gift the other day, I'd forgotten to nab the Up The Ante Compilation for free, so got that tonight as well! Pretty good for a day when I had nothing scheduled on the DD! (I know, lots of exclamation points)
@JovialJoy I used to find if I was trying to edit my wishlist on my Ipad it wouldn't work properly but then if I tried to do it on my desktop it worked fine.
As of April 24th 2015 I joined the own the store club. Thank you to those who helped in my journey. DD spreadsheet

@angeljess26 - Excellent! Here is another one of our DD words I have not used in a while - ninja'ed. I was just about to check about the 24-hour deal list.
So I've taken advantage of enough deals, and accrued enough Store items, that I'm now having to set alarms for myself that aren't set to go off for another two days!
OMG! So cool!
In the comment where I professed my affection for Edd, this is what I was asking about!
In the Set Tracking* tab, do I enter the percentage I already own or still need?
Kinda failed at properly articulating my question there.
What I wanted to know is this: under the Set Tracking tab, in column C, My CYS or Not CYS Eligible, what do I enter as My CYS? Do I enter what I already own or what I still need? And do I enter the percentage or the number of Sim Points?
Absolutely not a nuisance at all. I am only part of a team that goes back many threads and years. The thread and the spreadsheet would not be created or perfected without the assistance of everyone. Thanks for being a member of the DD team.
You're welcome! I just wasn't sure if I'd come across as helpful or nitpicky. But I really just enjoy editing. And thank you for having me as part of the team! Thank you especially for crossing The Blake off of my Wishlist! That was a nice surprise.
@JovialJoy That's what I use my wishlist for too! I keep a note of anything I want along with the cheapest item in each set so I can take advantage of the CYS bonus when I get around to buying it. Though mine is only about 20 items, not 700! o.o
@Kittycata87, I literally put EVERYTHING on there that I wanted! Hence the hundreds of items. And then I would remove them as I was able to purchase them. I didn't even worry about other people seeing it, and having the nuisance of loading it and then combing through it, because I didn't even have friends on TheSims3 before joining the forums! So now I'm having to do cleanup.
@JovialJoy I used to find if I was trying to edit my wishlist on my Ipad it wouldn't work properly but then if I tried to do it on my desktop it worked fine.
Thanks for the tip, @angeljess26, but unfortunately I'm already doing it on my laptop!
@JovialJoy "Edd" I love that. Maybe when they get the site fixed you can edit your Wishlist more expeditiously and then I'm looking forward to seeing you over there. I think it will only serve to bring you and Edd closer. lol
If Edd and I were any closer ... we'd be one. Jodi (@Me1620), is such a thing possible?
@Hoplass - Wonderful to hear that you are getting the deals you want. @JovialJoy - Wait until Edd turns mostly green and then it will be weeks between deals. Eventually, you will reach that bittersweet day when you own the store, but your DD stalking days are done.
What I wanted to know is this: under the Set Tracking tab, in column C, My CYS or Not CYS Eligible, what do I enter as My CYS? Do I enter what I already own or what I still need? And do I enter the percentage or the number of Sim Points?
In column C, you enter the number of simpoints that is your CYS discounted price for the set as shown on the product page for the item.
I just wasn't sure if I'd come across as helpful or nitpicky. But I really just enjoy editing. And thank you for having me as part of the team! Thank you especially for crossing The Blake off of my Wishlist! That was a nice surprise.
You are welcome for The Blake. That list was from the original thread. Both that list and the list of deals in the spreadsheet have gone through many sets of eyes over the last two years. I am always glad when someone points out a typo. I would not want people to rely on a list with an error.
I know you are in the process of cleaning your wishlist. I just want to point out, if you haven't thought of it, to remove single items from sets that are not eligible for the CYS discount if you plan on owning the set.
If Edd and I were any closer ... we'd be one. Jodi (@Me1620), is such a thing possible?
I don't have a monogamous relationship with any of my spreadsheets. I don't know which one I would choose. My computer and my Google Drive are full of spreadsheets. I do have a special place in my heart for the very first, very simple DD spreadsheet. Back in May 2013, I had told a fellow DD stalker that I had a spreadsheet on which I track the DD list and estimate the times of the deal. She asked if I could share it. Well, the spreadsheet has evolved - just a bit - since then. If you are curious, here is a link to the April - June 2013 DD spreadsheet. I posted the spreadsheet with just Central and Eastern time zones and added UK and Eastern Australia.
So, Jodi, @Me1620, I've basically been ignoring the Set Tracking tab because I don't get how to use the Group Number feature.
@JoeJude16 - Here is a quick tutorial on how to use the Group Number feature.
I have turned on the "Filter" function on the Set_Tracking sheet. In the top right corner of the cells in the header row, there is a white square with a blue arrow or triangle. That button opens the filter drop down menu. You could use the find feature to find all the sets in a compilation or combination set, but the filter function lets you view just the rows of the "group" you select to better see your progress.
For example, I had entered Group 1 on the spreadsheet. Group 1 includes Morocco Mystique + Cante Captivating, Morocco Mystique and Cante Captivating. Select the drop down arrow in Column G. Under "Filter by Values", click on "Clear", then select "1" from the list, select OK. Now the list is filtered for those sets with "1" in Column G. You can now see the information for the three related sets. When you want to clear the filter, open the filter menu again and choose "Select All" and OK. When you have a filter set, the white square changes to green.
Once you own all the sets in a group, you can delete their group number. Another tip - You can assign the same number to sets that overlap compilations so you get a better idea of which sets you should focus on to get a cascade. For example, set all the sets in Best of 2012 and April 2012 as one number.
Also, it really hadn't penetrated that this was a comprehensive list of the whole store
The Set_Tracking tab and the Sets On and Not On the DD lists all the sets for the store. Venue/PC lists all the venues and premium content in the store. The Items_Owned tab are only items and sets that appear on the DD.
The spreadsheet does not list all the individual items or all the worlds. You can see a list of all the individual items in a number of threads:
Also, in the process, I realized that I was only 100 SP from completing October 2011, so nabbed that, which basically meant Boho Men's, since I had the rest.
This is where filtering by groups helps. Quite often, you will save simpoints if you complete a set through purchasing the compilation and not the set.
As you use the spreadsheet more and more, you may want to reread the Welcome tab as it includes explanations and tips on how to use the spreadsheet. If something I have written is not clear, please let me know.

Oh, I remember those days so very fondly.
I recall the revelation when you first released your spreadsheet to the community, it really did revolutionise DD stalking! That it is still a crucial aid to so many new Store hunters is testament to the work you and the rest of team put into it, and continue to do so.

I too remember this fondly. This was the first DD list I stalked, as it was for several other, now DD veterans. I remember when first posting the list I would end up posting 3 or 4 posts (with the deal details) in a row all by myself because being in Australia, other people in other parts of the world weren't up yet or were busy. Then came along I believe silencedsong and it became a game of she would post some deals, then I would be posting, then others would be awake and I would go to sleep. Back then we didn't have the guaranted time counter on the deals either (meaning they could and did sell out), so when the spreadsheet was introduced we would post when deals sold out early and how quickly they sold out. In the beginning of the spreadsheet Jodi did all the adjustments herself. Then @Me1620 and later the team that joined her would adjust the times on the DD spreadsheet. I think originally you ended up adding that Australia column for me. Lol. At one time or another I was the only Aussie posting in this thread posting, then everyone else joined in.
@angeljess26 - Excellent! Here is another one of our DD words I have not used in a while - ninja'ed. I was just about to check about the 24-hour deal list.
Great minds think alike.
As of April 24th 2015 I joined the own the store club. Thank you to those who helped in my journey. DD spreadsheet
How did you stalk the DD list before they started repeating?
@KevinL5275 - Good question and it was just asked recently. Check out this post which describes how we created the list for the current DD.
@angeljess26 - I did add the Australian column for you and the UK column for @ajaxpost. Being a night owl, I would sometimes be up when you and silencesong were racing each other to post. Once or twice, I may have posted one myself. Of course, for those deals predicted to sell out quickly, we had to take care of ourselves first - grab the deal and then post.
Just wanted to say thanks for posting this spreadsheet and info! I think I had mostly figured out the cascading deals and how to save sp by buying compilations and only purchasing one item from a set in order to make its price drop, BUT, I just discovered your thread and that DDs are predicted AFTER the MMAO thing broke and I googled to see if anyone else cared. I'm rather late to the party, so to speak, since I made my first store purchase (freebie items) in 2009 and only recently (last spring) re-discovered the store after "buying" Roaring Heights using Bing rewards points I'd been farming... and that lead to me discovering SP could also be farmed. Since I've never spent real $$ on any Sims purchases aside from the base game and a few expansions, I'm sure I'm moving much slower toward owning the store than most! Your spreadsheet is great though!! It's also nice to know I'm not the only one on the planet still doing this (since the DD percent purchased almost never gets over 5% I wondered if that meant there were maybe four other people LOL). Here's to hoping they fix MMAO.
So I've taken advantage of enough deals, and accrued enough Store items, that I'm now having to set alarms for myself that aren't set to go off for another two days!
Two days?! I currently have approximately four dozen alarms set as far out as March! Which was why when the DD shift occurred I freaked out. It meant a lot of adjustments in my calendar.

- Valgon57's thread Store Mega List for Extra Quick Redownloading
- Ciane's thread on Reinstalling Store Stuff
- 2Mahawk's thread on Easy-to-miss items checklist

This is where filtering by groups helps. Quite often, you will save simpoints if you complete a set through purchasing the compilation and not the set.As you use the spreadsheet more and more, you may want to reread the Welcome tab as it includes explanations and tips on how to use the spreadsheet. If something I have written is not clear, please let me know.

I recall the revelation when you first released your spreadsheet to the community, it really did revolutionise DD stalking! That it is still a crucial aid to so many new Store hunters is testament to the work you and the rest of team put into it, and continue to do so.

Two days?! I currently have approximately four dozen alarms set as far out as March! Which was why when the DD shift occurred I freaked out. It meant a lot of adjustments in my calendar.
