Hey everyone, I was MIA this weekend and busy with a lot of offline stuff. Oh wow! Thank you for voting for Kass! I will try and provide a little bio and picture for our front page soon. Thanks again for voting/participating.
Alright, I meant to have these up before now, but I've created a badge for the Sim of the Month (here) and a winner badge for the Sim of the Month (here). Feel free to use these in the future.
August's Sim of the Month
nomination and winner information (for future reference)
Sim of the Month:
Voting for August 2016's Sim of the Month!
Theme: Best Role Model
Nominations:
Tae-Gra Shane from Oraj's Journal @Simcraft81
Fawn of Joon from The Journey of a Thousand Miles @CreamierThanMami
Freddy from Wilder Hearts Vampiracy @JLBDreamer
Kass Fullbright from The Kassiopeia Fullbright Series @Adamseve1231
Winner: Kass Fullbright from The Kassiopeia Fullbright Series @Adamseve1231
I was thinking of perhaps opening this idea up to other groups possibly so we aren't limited to just our stories. Would you all be okay with that? We can make a general announcement in the Reading Circle thread and see who'd like to participate, possibly for September. If that's the case too, maybe we'd need to make a different thread beyond our circle.
I would also like to make a list of ideas for future SOTM themes. Like for example, October could be spookiest Sim or evil Sims or something like that. Thoughts?
Hello group, would someone else be willing to come up with a discussion topic for the week since my character won? It can be related to Kass or something else. No pressure or preferences here. I just didn't want to dominate the thread here.
I'm just a little confused by what you mean by "opening up to other groups". What exactly are we opening up? What does that entail?
Enough of a subject change for you? :P
I just meant if we want to have more than just our Sims to vote on per month we could ask if other groups wanted to participate. Then they would join and nominate and vote on SOTM just like we do. It's just a thought. If not, we can keep it exclusive to this group.
@xJojox@JLBDreamer@CreamierThanMami@Julyvee94@Simcraft81 I had a thought about our reading schedule. I know, or I'm assuming, everyone is busy. Would it be easier to focus on a few chapters at a time from one of our stories each week? That way we can have discussions and get feedback on our chapters.
For those of us who are already caught up, we can easily breeze back through if need be to recap or the "host" story can post some basic details. That way, we can discuss a particular plot point, character, theme, idea, etc from a section that is much more manageable than just trying to constantly keep up with everyone's readings. This also would be helpful for those of us who need longer in between updates.
We can pick someone's story and go round-robin so for example, we can focus on Fine Lines the first week, then the following week, we can focus on KFLL, then the following week, we can focus on Sim Story, and so on.
Since I have a lot of chapters in mine, we could talk about the Prologue 2.0 and 2.1 this week (or we could extend it to further chapters if you think that's too little.) Then the following week, we could discuss Chapters 1 and 2 of Fine Lines. etc...
Keep in mind we don't have to go in this order since it is just the example (I just went in alphabetical order).
Also since it's already almost the end of this week (it's Thursday where I'm at), then if everyone is on board with this idea, we can consider "a week" Friday-Friday.
Thoughts? Comments? Questions? Completely different (and more awesome) ideas?
I like that idea because that would still allow it to be relaxed but also encourage discussion. Maybe someone could host it and post discussion questions or something too? I find that gets people to participate.

I figured whoever's story is featured is the host, OR whoever's story will be featured next could host OR we can just pick a schedule based on everyone's schedules and sign up for a week to host.
Please take your time @JLBDreamer. We all understand busyness and family obligations and medical concerns. I hope everything goes well for you and your family in the future. Blessings & hugs!
P.S. I'll update your posting schedule on the first page to "irregular" until things settle down for you.

Cool! Submitted
Not all the time, but there will always be different categories. As for different characters, it depends on who is nominated.
