Not the Party I Intended... But, 's alright
Olivia has finally achieved her Mansion Baron aspiration. I held off any serious parties until she achieved her goal.
Unfortunately I forgot to disable party goals, so now she has to entertain everyone with her violin.
It's not my idea of fun, but I don't want the game giving me a party failure message.
Alexus is doing a great job at the bar.
Except for this moment where no one does anything. The game must be thinking really hard.
And with that, the party is over.
I was busy chasing party goals and didn't take any pictures.
Fortunately, Get Together's club function kicked in and Melonie's club members stayed to party on.
Now that this home has been uploaded, I am free to tryout more realistic textures. I will probably go back to some kind of wood paneling, but I will certainly used better wood and carpet textures in the rooms upstairs.
It's great having a neat roommate.

Get Together is Making a Nice Difference in My Game
I am really liking this EP the more I play it.
I have recently started assigning one of their club slots for a romantic relationship. A club of two-- they assign their significant other.
This is more for when I am not playing them. I will usually see them as couples out on a romantic date.
I assign them cafes as general places to hangout.
I will probably assign some to parks, bars, and dance clubs, or just switch it up now and then.
My trouble making sims are going to have a great time flirting with Rain's boyfriend while they are out on a date.
She has the Jealous trait.
However, for some reason, Rain is enjoying messing with Cedrick as he eats his croissant.
I think she want's you Cedrick.
In my dance club, there were only two autonomous areas: the dance area and the bar.
The dance area is richer for the extra lighting and the DJ booth. No sims had ever sat at that table before, but now some will sit and talk.
This area had never been used by any sims before Get Together.
They would only sit at the bar.
This group walked over there on their own after I had the leader buy drinks for the group.
This frees up the bar area for other sims.
Friendships are easier to maintain as my sims are highly social and I choose sims with the lowest relationship scores to interact with.
This was another dead area, but thanks to my Monty Llama comedy club, it's more active.
There is a buffet table nearby with its own dinning tables, but my Gestalt Order club walked over to the comedy area to have dinner.
I added a private club space to the museum for my art sims.
They spend their time viewing art, painting, and critiquing.
I am removing the museum's original art and replacing them with the art my Gestalt Order sims paint.
If this EP builds off any additional Expansion and Game Packs, it will be a powerful expansion pack indeed.
I just hope the Sims Studio adds more group objects that takes advantage of the individual member's traits, skills, and emotional states to earn rewards, perks, buffs, or long term moodlets. That could be really awesome.
Private Date Club Drama
A lot of drama is starting to happen now that I have date clubs that have my sims displaying their affections in public when I am not playing them.
This is putting unwanted relationships back in their place, like with Edgar here.
Apparently he and Ling had something going when I wasn't looking.
She's embarrassed about it.
And he's sad/mad.
Sorry Edgar. What you had wasn't serious.

Okay, I KNOW EA did not expect us to use groups in this way but this is really working out it seems. I felt bad for Edgar at first then read about his 8 loves. *giggle snorts* I will have to borrow this mini group idea.
I noticed that some of the render sims didn't make it into the game, too. There was also that girl named Erin who was featured in one of the trailers and on the box art. I imagine these sims were cut because the other pre-existing towns have only had four households each and Windenburg already had more households than that.
Nice to see that you're enjoying the expansion. I was initially disappointed that EA didn't add vampires in with this pack, but I'm now glad that they didn't just throw them in without putting much work into it. There's so many other additions in Get Together that I'm okay without a new life state for now.
I was also underwhelmed with the pre-existing houses on the 64x64 lots. They definitely could have put more effort into them. The House of Mode looks really awesome, though. I hope there's a celebrity system implemented in the game later like in Sims 3 Late Night. I always enjoyed the road to fame and the paparazzi.
But I do want my sims to munch on popcorn, and the theme seems fleshed out with them really able to enjoy new movies on their movie night. Plus the objects and clothes will be perfect for my Sim, Riya. Olivia will make use of that big screen TV.
Status Update
I am behind on my simming posts. I have been playing some TS3 and a few other games.
I just bought Cool Kitchen stuff ( I didn't think I would ever buy that one).
After getting over not having enough kitchen objects, I did see enough content to merit a buy. I also have Movie Hangout Stuff, so I will be reporting on both these packs.
Randomness
I was playing Melonie and Ling when I noticed Sheldon out for a walk. I like seeing my other sims out and about. The game seems to have replaced most of those random townies with most of my sims, or maybe I just have a lot more sims now. Whatever the case, I like it.
And right now, Sheldon is trailing one of my other sims, Kara Monteroy.
That feminine walks just seems extra feminine when performed by her.
Sheldon has his stalker shoes all polished up.
She knows she has his attention (assumed by me).
It was fun projecting on my sims until Kara teleported elsewhere.
Leaving Sheldon to... Oh, hi, Nora Pope.
She's so friendly and flirty.
If there is going to be a stalker in my game, it's Nora.
The stalker is now stalked.
If we get a fame EP, I hope it has some sim stalking content.

I did enjoy Supernatural and I loved my TS2 witches and vampires. I do think this game will be a blast when we are neck deep in Expansion and Game Packs. I like having the fame and paparazzi in TS3, I just wished EA had did them in a way that wasn't so annoying.
It's more like, Cool in the Kitchen Stuff.
When I first heard of this pack, I imagined a pack with several Kitchen styles like Country, Industrial, and Modern. They should have given it a different name that was more suiting to ice cream and the clothing.
I did not buy this stuff pack right away for that very reason, but after the passage of time and looking at the content again, it seemed worth 10 dollars for objects that I can use. I like the clutter objects, I just wish there were more of them.
These clothes were must haves for my sims.
That pink top and bottom combo is perfect for Melonie.
This top is pure Ling for her primarily conservative wardrobe.
I like dressing Ling conservatively because it's fun when her outfits takes a turn to the wild side.
That's one for the wall.
The stove and the new fridge are OK, but aren't all that different from what we already have.
I like the new cabinets, but wish there was a solid door version.
I don't want an entire wall of these. That's why I mixed them in with some base game cabinets.
I love this range hood/light. I need to rearrange the kitchen so the stove can sit under it.
I like the flowers too.
We can always use more accessories.
These are good to have around for my sims who are into cooking, plus there are other covers to chose from.
I think I will like the ice cream more that I thought. There are a lot of options and effects.
I am glad that we so many topping to chose from and can combine them.
I think my sims will mainly eat from the bowl. I am not crazy about the cones and how sims eat them. I can't bite ice cream. It make my teeth hurt just looking at sims biting into them.

Agreed, the price point does make it a bit easier to part with your cash. And I have been pleasantly surprised that they haven't turned it into the crazy level of items that hit the Sims 3 store. That may be partly due to the way Origin works but it is working for me. And now you make me look at Kitchen Stuff again...was not going to get it but those cabinets...and my foodie sims who I love playing...grrrrr....lol.
Ok, I am liking these stuff packs so far.
I still need to test out a movie night with a club. I want to see how Get Together is going to support future content. Movie Hangout Stuff is the first test.
New Stuff Packs: Part 2, Movie Hangout Stuff, continued
I wanted to have Olivia try a movie night with her social club.
I had her prepare by popping the popcorn ahead of time.
I changed the club actives to Watching a Movie under the object panel, being friendly to each other, and Eating at Home.
Guests teleport to the rear of this lot for some reason.
As the members arrived I had Olivia cue up Grab Popcorn Together and Watch a Movie Together.
This is where it all went wrong.
First of all, I forgot to provide enough seats for everyone. I tossed down some pouf seating at the last minute.
Secondly, having everyone grab a bowl of popcorn together was cancelled out by watching the movie together.
Olivia was the only one to get popcorn.

Well at least the others sat down to watch the movie.
Alright! They aren't enjoying popcorn, but at least the club is enjoying a movie together, and they get club points for doing it along with friendly interactions during the movie.

I am concerned about sims leaving their seats. It's probably best to have them watch as a club and remove most other activities so they don't get distracted from the movie.
Status Update
I think most of my simming from now on is going to be getting the rest of my sims up to level 5 in their careers. I am hoping the next game pack is related to dating and going out on dates. I am ready for these sims to start pairing up romantically. Melonie and Ling, Sheldon and Jewel, and Joel and Rain have an early start, but the rest of my sims are single and unattached.
And if the next Expansion Pack is Generations, I will finally let them get married, have babies, and turn aging on.
Until then, Melonie is sad.
She can't find Candy Behr anywhere. Candy doesn't meet any of her club requirements and I was hoping they would meet normally on a community lot in her neighborhood. She never seems to be at home either.
Mathilda Lando is in my game (Leon: The Professional)
Another Simmer had Mathilda as their forum avatar. I had the hair, so I decided to make her. I later found her sunburst chok-er (weird censor) too.
I am not sure how I will play her yet, but she is a teen living on her own. She's in the Renegades now.
Speaking of CC and hair, I continue to cram it in my game.
Hair is character, and the more you have, the more diverse your characters.
Olivia and Melonie are my CC testers. They seem to be able to pull off any style compared to my other sims.

I wanted to have Olivia try a movie night with her social club.
I had her prepare by popping the popcorn ahead of time.
I changed the club actives to Watching a Movie under the object panel, being friendly to each other, and Eating at Home.
Guests teleport to the rear of this lot for some reason.
As the members arrived I had Olivia cue up Grab Popcorn Together and Watch a Movie Together.
This is where it all went wrong.
First of all, I forgot to provide enough seats for everyone. I tossed down some pouf seating at the last minute.
Secondly, having everyone grab a bowl of popcorn together was cancelled out by watching the movie together.
Olivia was the only one to get popcorn.

Well at least the others sat down to watch the movie.
Alright! They aren't enjoying popcorn, but at least the club is enjoying a movie together, and they get club points for doing it along with friendly interactions during the movie.
Riya is the only one who did not take a seat.

The first attempt didn't go smoothly, not all first attempts do.
It's great having a movie night once in while though.

1) Provide enough seats
2) Let everyone get their popcorn before watching the movie together.
3) No socials during the movie. Let them do it autonomously.
It's not bad.
I am concerned about sims leaving their seats. It's probably best to have them watch as a club and remove most other activities so they don't get distracted from the movie.
I think most of my simming from now on is going to be getting the rest of my sims up to level 5 in their careers. I am hoping the next game pack is related to dating and going out on dates. I am ready for these sims to start pairing up romantically. Melonie and Ling, Sheldon and Jewel, and Joel and Rain have an early start, but the rest of my sims are single and unattached.
And if the next Expansion Pack is Generations, I will finally let them get married, have babies, and turn aging on.
Until then, Melonie is sad.
She can't find Candy Behr anywhere. Candy doesn't meet any of her club requirements and I was hoping they would meet normally on a community lot in her neighborhood. She never seems to be at home either.

Another Simmer had Mathilda as their forum avatar. I had the hair, so I decided to make her. I later found her sunburst chok-er (weird censor) too.
I am not sure how I will play her yet, but she is a teen living on her own. She's in the Renegades now.
Speaking of CC and hair, I continue to cram it in my game.
Hair is character, and the more you have, the more diverse your characters.
Olivia and Melonie are my CC testers. They seem to be able to pull off any style compared to my other sims.

There will be clipping issues with that tail.
There is plenty of clipping in this game anyway.
