Hi Cath Beware the Swamp Witch is a bewitching build that shows off your amazing building skills. Beautifully detailed with something spooky around every corner. Hugs Folly

@yanti68, Thank you Yanti! I'm hoping for some time to really work on this build on Saturday. Sunday will be spent catching up on some much needed yard work. Getting everything ready for the winter over here. Sigh. At least it's been a relatively mild fall for us, this year.

This is by far, THE most expensive home I have built in Sims 4. It's a DNA request for @Penguinwa101, for a Sorority House for rich, snobby girls. Penguinwa wanted luxurious rooms with crown moldings and marble floors and two creepy basements. When my daughter asked what I was building and I explained about the request, she said, "Oh, like Scream Queens." I had never heard of it but she told me a bit about the show. I decided to use that as my inspiration for this build and really had a lot of fun designing the girls rooms and making a creepy basement. Penguinwa, I left lots of room in both basements for you to add whatever cool things you come up with.
Here's the inspiration picture included in the request:
And here is my build:
Back:
The two story entry hall:
And now a tour of the main floor starting in living room on the left and making our way around:
Heading upstairs:
The girls bedrooms, starting with the sorority president's room and glimpses of the others:
Downstairs there is a nice large bathroom, gym, media/game room, dance club and spa with all the amenities:
The creepy basement has a hidden entrance with a catwalk across a fire-y pit below:
There's more and all the pictures can be seen here.
My goodness, that is just crazy beautiful! You are so skilled! although I almost peed my pants going downstairs!!! That basement is so darn creepy and the contrast between the floors is just adding to the chills I get from this mansion! Talk about having skeletons in your (walk in) closet! Yikes!
Sorority Queens is such a very grand, elegant and detailed build! It looks so very, very nice! The exterior of the sorority home looks so very grand and very nice! You have reflected so well the inspiration picture building ! The outdoors areas of the home look so very nice! The hedging looks so very nice how it is placed in the outdoors areas! The plants look very nice on the edges of the pathways. The furnishing of the interior looks so very, very nice! Each room has been furnished with so much time, work and detail! The mooing work in the rooms looks so very nice! Very nice colour schemes of the rooms! The wall paneling in each of the rooms looks so nice! The room with the two sets of armchairs in a curved direction around the fireplace and tv looks so great! Each of the rooms and areas in the home looks so very very nice! The layout of the interior is very nice. The type of and placement of the curtains in the rooms looks so very nice! The bedrooms look so pretty! The flowers are very pretty touches in the rooms and areas of the home ! Very nice mediation, sauna and massage chairs rooms. The basement areas look very, very scary!
I would like to write about each of the rooms, levels of the home and the outdoors areas but it would take a long time because they are so very detailed! It is a very special and grand home!
Sorority Queens is ultimately gorgeous, grand, and superb! But a little spooky in there, haha!
I really like your architecture, really reflects from the inspiration that the requester gave it to you! Love that colonial feel in it! The KKT looks a nice touch, wondering what is this word/abbreviation? Your landscaping is truly a masterpiece! Love the urn statue out front! Very pretty hedging, especially the curves at the back! The the patio you did with a pretty trellis! And your interior, really gorgeous! Love every feature in this build! It has so much features that Sims could hope for! Very creepy basement BTW, I think if I'm going to live here, I don't think I would survive in there, haha!
If @Penguinwa101 really loves it, I really love it too! Already downloaded and faved!
@Penguinwa101, you are most welcome! It's such a pleasure to work with someone who is so appreciative and excited about the project. I hope you have Tons of fun with your new home!
@Miliksim, Lol about the basement! I had So much fun creating that scary place. Thank you very kindly for your lovely comments and for stopping by for a look.
@rosemow, Thank you so much for your wonderful and kind words, Rose! I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the time you spend having a look at so many creations! Thank you!
@Glenkarri, Thank you for the lovely comment Vicki! I'm so pleased you are putting it in your own game!
@RyeCris16, Thank you for your generous comments, Rye! The initials stand for "Kappa Kappa Tau" from the show "Scream Queens". I've never seen the show myself, but while I was working on it, my daughter commented that the request sounded similar to the show. She told me a bit about it and I decided to look into it and use it "loosely" for the build. LOL about the creepy basement, Rye! I had so much fun doing that part! My daughter told me about the room with the tub and about the hall of portraits (from the show), so I wanted to include those too. Thank you especially for the fave and the download, Rye! Both are very kind of you! Hugs
Oooh! What a stately house! Love the stairway in the front and the formal style gardens. That sitting area outside with the fireplace looks awesome! Inside the stairway looks so grand! Love the gallery area looking down on the living space downstairs. The piano room and the kitchen are my favourites. Will be adding to my favourites when I visit the gallery.
@yanti68, Thank you for the very lovely comments, Yanti! I really had fun building this one because of the contrasts between the main home and the creepy basement.
Sorority Queens is gorgeous! I built a sorority house once as well, for a challenge, and it also is my most expensive build in The Sims 4! Both the exterior and interior of you build look stunning, it must have been a lot of work to build it and decorate it! But the part I like the most is the creepy basement! Lol Have a nice week, Cath!
Just gorgeous Cath from to to toe A wonderful reproduction of your inspiration picture and the landscaping is stunning a great place for entertaining. Big Hugs Folly
Where did all these cobwebs come from?? I guess I haven't been by in quite a while...give me just a quick second to dust things off.
A LONG overdue Thank you to @vethesims, @masajo, @follyfoot, @Nejioranaid, and @sawdust! A huge heartfelt thanks to each of you for taking the time to stop in for a look and for leaving such kind comments! I hope you are pretty well ready for the upcoming holidays! Hugs,

If you will be placing this lot in an EA world, which one? Either Willow Creek or Windenburg
Link to specific house or plan: Floor Plan
Special requirements (garden, pool, hot tub, etc.)? Pool, Hot Tub. Turn garage into a home gym
Additional instructions? Outdoor kids area, Outdoor kitchen (grill, etc) I couldnt find the second level floor plan for the link I found. So I will leave the 2nd level up to the creator. But I would like 1 bedroom to be a nursery. Also in the Great Room can there be a Christmas tree with decorations. I would love for this house to be Christmas ready.
I had a question for you about the lot, Jenny. I started building your home on the 50x50 in Willow Creek because I didn't have Windenburg yet. Since we both have the new ep now, I wanted to know if you would like me to continue with the lot size over in Willow Creek or place it on one of the 64x64's in Windenburg? Unfortunately there aren't any 50x50's in the new world.
I'm pleased to say that I am completely finished with the home itself and all that needs to be done is the play testing. It's unusual for me to be done with the home BEFORE I've finished the landscaping, lol. I usually get the shell done, then concentrate on the landscaping, then finish up with the interiors. Once I know which lot you would like, I will start working on the landscaping. Hopefully I will get really inspired and finish this up fairly quickly for you.
It's finally done, @jenny0786! I ended up keeping it on the 50x50 so that you could place it in any world you wish. I tried placing it on a few 50x50's as well as the two 64x64's in Windenburg and it looks lovely on whichever lot you choose.
If you notice some differences in the pictures from the actual home, I had to change some items because they would either drop, disappear or move, when I placed the lot. The "Holiday Glow Picture" (the one with the candles) disappeared every time I placed the lot. I had one enlarged version of it and it would fall behind the fireplace. So I replaced them with some other pictures and it seems fine now. The other thing that was weird, were the two Christmas trees I enlarged and placed in the yard, on the left side. They stayed put, whenever I placed the lot on any 50x50 but one would always move into the pool, when I placed the lot on either 64x64. So out they came too, to be replaced by regular pine trees.
I saw your message about using the new closets from the Get Together pack and I used them in just two of the bedrooms because the other three all had plenty of room to actually "build" a custom closet.
My next gripe has to do with Photobucket. For some reason it's not allowing me to organize my pictures. It's driving me crazy! I like to have them all in order when I put in the slideshow link, but it's not going to be possible... I will just have to put most of the pictures in here.
So here we go:
I didn't put any plants in the planters because I wanted to keep the "Christmas without snow" theme and nothing would be growing. I did include the smaller boxes for some herbs and the doorway here leads to the kitchen just down the hall on the right:
Heading inside you will find the study on the left and the Great Room straight ahead:
The kitchen with breakfast nook is through the right of the great room and is open to the hearth room:
Heading across the hall from the hearth room is a little skill room, gym and yoga room:
Just down the hall from that is the dining room:
The master suite is located at the far left of the home on the first floor. It also has a walk-in closet:
On to the upper level. There is a big loft up there which has a cool desk area, two love seats, a bookcase and of course, it's very own Christmas tree:
The guest suite with it's own custom walk-in closet:
Nursery and private bath:
Little girls suite with her own bath and custom closet:
Coming up the back staircase there is a little playroom for the kiddies, between the girls and the boys bedrooms:
Oh my goodness Cath! This home is AMAZING! I love it. I cannot wait to get it in game! I am busy cleaning my RL house right now; but I will get it in game asap! You did an amazing job!
