Whew! I finally got this starter home down to JUST below budget at $18,494! (Now, if I could only be this disciplined in real life.. )
Another lovely home Jewels, I love the shape of the house and once again some very nice landscaping work
... can I make a request though, I particularly like to see overhead plan views of builds, individual room photos are obviously essential to show of the décor and style but it's not always easy to see the layout without an actual plan view ...
I took an old Sears floor plan and made a four bedroom home on that small lot in Sunset Valley by the park. It has nice big dining and living rooms and includes a pizza oven and bakery station in the kitchen. I made it on my laptop, so it doesn't have any EPs; but according to the upload, I used town life and master suites. I did add a laundry in the basement and I used a towel shelf from master suites.
I also added some store stuff, so the playpen, walker, and some kids things are also included.

You know, I've done that before and wasn't sure if anyone wanted to see that or not, so I took those shots out. Thank you so much for the feedback! I will put one or two shots of the overhead layout in my next build.
@MariTomKaulitZ - I love your family! I tend to stick with the same cookie-cutter styles for my Sims, and need to branch out more. I love Charlotte's outfit - so cool!

Lars and Charlotte Blomgren have are high school sweethearts, that have lived in Aurora Skies their entire lives. Charlotte loves being outside, and spends hours upon hours in her garden. Lars is a comic book writer and designer, and is an animal lover. They have two kids, Björn and Bente. Björn is a teenager, and a bit of a rebel. He dreams of having his own band, and plays his guitar ever day. Bente is a cheerful toddler, that is very curious and gets excited about everything. The family has two pets; a little dog that just turned one, and is called Harvey, and an old cat named Lily. Lily's not too fond of Harvey, as he's very hyperactive.

Thank you! I built this in Hidden Springs, on one of the lots that typically houses the cabins, with the dirt road. I wasn't too crazy about the dirt road part, but I thought that the 30x30 size would fit the starter home, and I could always move it later.

What are your favorite things to Create? I am very much an amateur, therefore I just follow tutorials, and of those tutorials, I am trying to work harder on my terrain skills (very lacking there) & adding in roofs. I guess one would say, I like to challenge myself, but I severely need direction to even begin to like my creations. Linear builds come easier to me (except when it comes to add in roofing).
What inspires your Creations? (i.e. Pictures, Books, Magazines, Graphic Novels, Television Shows, Movies, Anime, Manga, Real Life, Fantasy, etc.) For this particular makeover: All of the above and some places that go into more detail for the feel:
Anime: Legend of Korra
Video Games: Dishonored, Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura, BioShock Infinite, Darkwatch, Guns of Icarus Online, Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends, Myst, Thief, Van Helsing, Kingdom Under Fire II, just to name a few, and am open to other suggestions.
Movies: The Golden Compass, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Treasure Planet, Van Helsing, and open to other suggestions.
How can we offer our assistance in your creations? (i.e. Posting pics; answering questions related to a particular topic, place, time period, etc.; Videos; etc.) Point me in the direction of the best tutorials.

Oh my gosh!! I love steampunk!!! My middle son is an Aspie, and one of his favorite things is steampunk, he even listens to a band called Steam Powered Giraffe! Fun!!

Creation Wishlist Wants:
1) CHARACTERS: I'm going to be turning Lunar Lakes into a planet completely populated by Doctor Who characters, so I would love some help making any character you can think of. It can be from classic or new Who. Villain or hero. The only character I don't need is the Second Doctor as I already have a really good one. If someone is able to make a plumbot that looks like a Cyberman I'll give you my sim's first born!
2) LOTS: For the most part I will just be using existing houses from LL, but if someone wants to take on creating the Tardis that would be amazing.
