But first, the girl. Melonie is trying out midnight jogging. There is no way she's going to limit herself to just salad.
"My eye!"
"That's why mom didn't want to buy you that thing."
An autonomous brotherly hug.
And forced monkeying around. I really do like how these sims interact with each other.
I haven't seen those dance moves before.
Ohh...
Antonio picks this moment to also go to the bathroom.
Scarred for life.
He's the mental brainiac.
While Soren is the musical prodigy.
Suffering for his art.
Melonie needs the boys to have at least 5 friends in order to get her Matriarch trait. I sent them to the park to meet other children.
Antonio doesn't mind getting out of the science lab for this.
Who can resist being a pirate?
On Stranger Tides. He's a bit creepy hanging out here.
"Rar!"
"Umm....yeah."
There are two other kids here.
They introduce themselves.
Nina Caliente is furious about something.
She storms right past her sister with no recognition. I wish sims that know each other would make some sort of acknowledgement.
Another angry sim. I guess the flowers and trees can't calm her down. It is pretty. I am not crazy about the trees, but if you put in a bunch of them you can't see the oddness for the trees.
Playmate number one has somewhere else to go.
They can still play with playmate number two.
Antonio runs off towards home on his own. Soren follows.
A meeting of the minds, quality time with dad.
A hot tub goes out here in the TS3 version. I wonder when we will get hot tubs.
One of their new friends is already visiting.
Soren invites him in.
"Where is your dad?"
"He went up to observe the sky."
Get out of there, you loner. You are supposed to be playing chess with your son.
Now that's more like it.
I have been trying to figure out who the boys resemble most. I think they are more of a blend of both parents.
I think he has his dad's eyebrows.
Another Riya visit and an autonomous hug.
Soren seems to be a mix of both as well.
Melonie is really huggy today.
She needs to read the boys some stories as part of earning her Matriarch trait.
It doesn't help when your neat freak husband takes the book while you are reading it.
She continues on with an invisible book.
Now it's Antonio's turn.
The blockiness of some objects are still bugging me. Those edges are sharp enough to cut yourself on.
Angles, angles, angles.
Those roll?
At least give us round lamps.
Also, clocks don't keep sim time. Or at lest mine don't. They are stuck at 3:00. I loved that clocks keep correct time in the Sims. I was really surprised that TS4 clocks don't keep time.
Despite this, I do like this room. I'll just have to not look too closely at things.
I will never love those storybook clouds, even TS4 sims are too realistic to be walking under those clouds.
The trees, I may get used to, but it will take time.
Michelle Brooks
We need to visit a new sim in town.
Hi, Michelle Brooks.
Michell has on CC I want to check out in-game.
Wow, it's dark in here. It's not helping the reason for why we came.
And... I can hardly see it.
Thanks...but that doesn't help.
Eyelashes...and extremely subtle ones. It's too difficult to see them in her dark house.
Let's take it outside.
Better yet, let's invite her over to Melonie's. Brooks seems like a cool sim.
Probably as cool as Ling.
Something about this sim... I just like her.
There ya go. And those eyelashes are barely there--plus they have had a graphic downgrade outside of CAS. Oh well, a hint of lash is better than none. I will keep looking.
Something going on in that mind behind that pretty face of Michelle,
I could say the same for ling.
I'll leave them to do what TS4 sims do best:
Talk.
The boys are back from a very bad day at school.
Don't take it out on Soren.
Nooo... you really don't want to mess with Soren.
I forgot what happened at school, but it must have been bad.
Soren looks happy. I guess it was just Antonio with the bad day.
Antonio has worked it off now and Melonie is giving some homework help.
Where are you going?
Oh, she has a comedy performance tonight.
Do you really want to leave the gorgeous Michelle Brooks with your hubby?
Hmm... tempting.
Nah... I don't want to cause any drama in this household.
The boys are getting started on their personal pursuits of interest--science for Antonio.
Music for Soren.
Melonie is back to her trim self.
And looking great.
I still want a daughter for her.
So...
Sorry, Mel'.
You have your friends to get you through it.
Their daily visits can be annoying, but better to have friends show up instead of no visitations at all.
EA should put limits on it however.
I really like their kitchen. The amount of objects feel complete: Shelves, overhead cabinets, range hood, lighting, appliances, small appliances, clutter decor, the only sore spot is missing trash compactors and dishwashers.
Every hairstyle should have a messy version.
She has her own expansion pack in development.
There must be a mess in the room somewhere.
And an emotion keeping Soren from enjoying his pancakes.
Oh, the baby is coming.
Now there is a proper response.
Unlike dad, Soren appears to be keeping a cool head, but he's on his way to school.
Fernando is funny.
I can't remember what emotion is bringing her down, or why.
After twiddling my thumbs during a short wait, Melonie is back.
With a much more happier emotional state.
Congratulations, parents.
They have baby girls!
Yes, plural as in two.
This does look familiar yet different.
...still celebrating.
OK, Fernando, you can go see the babies now.
He's so excited,Melonie.
I still prefer TS3's car or cab ride to the hospital rabbit hole. It just feels more immersive to me than all this teleporting.
A change of room decoration is in order. Don't ask me where the babies are. I have no idea. Perhaps they were teleported in other rooms. All this happened weeks ago, so memory is fuzzy.
Aww moment.
Melonie complete the Joke star Aspiration and is now going for the Big Happy Family aspiration. I want her to have that Matriarch trait.
She is required to adopt a child to earn that trait.
Oh the nerve! The adoption screen has images of TS3 toddlers. Bait and switch!
I have no problem with adoption, but I don't think you should be forced to adopt to get this trait. It makes this one of those linear game play issues. Thankfully EA removed that requirement with a patch as of this writing.
She's going to pick up the adoptee.
And Michelle is stopping by for one of her daily visits.
Here is the new addition to the family.
Welcome home, Jamie.
Hey, Melonie is behind you.
Lots of confetti in this game.
Don't just stand there. Go check out your room.
She's lucky not to be a twin. She gets her own room.
She could use a new outfit.
Too formal.
That's better.
Now what is her story going to be...?
The doll, I have no idea of what to do with Jamie.
They kind of match.
Did I do that on purpose or habit?
No dancing, the stereo is busted.
Nothing to do but talk.
Sims love talking.
Talk over here.
Talk over there.
Funny face.
Soren is home and he is not happy.
This is just horrible.
An adopted sister and two babies--all girls.
What's a boy to do?
Go sulk in bed.
Antonio is handling it well.
It isn't long before he is out of bed.
To see the babies, ironically--his feelings seemed mixed.
It's cancelled though, as others want to see the babies too.
The stinky babies.
Melonie is going to have a house full once these two are out of the bassinets.
No, I will never get used to this.
Bring back toddlers.
That hair style tends to look cute on children in real life, but I think this is a bit of a fail. Something is off about it.
Yeah, that's surly enough to make someone turn and go the other way, Nicole
Or go upstairs for a wardrobe change. Melody really needs it.
That's better. Fernando's and Melonie's Genetics don't seem to have blended very well for her however.
I have no idea what got her in an angry mood.
This will do for now.
Enough! Go to school.
You are getting older Melonie. She starting to look the part of a Matriarch.
She's free to do what she wants. Well, what I want.
She ran into Ling while out. We have to stop for Ling.
I wonder what is keeping her slim. All the other women in her household have gained weight.
For so many kids, her life is quite blissful. I wonder if family drama will be added with EPs.
Oh, poor Riya.
I don't know if there a real reason behind her sadness, but I have been feeling sorry for her.
It makes me feel guilty for not playing her.
What? The maid actually showed up?
And is doing work?
I am shocked.
I had Melonie give up her comedy career and had her switch to being a writer and focusing on writing comedy. I have a feeling a lot of my sims will be work-at-home writers.
She's not going to get much work done with all the interuptions, but they are doing well enough for all the royalties she is getting.
Fernando is starting to get chunky.
Creepy.
3-in-1 spot.
We are about to have a party for Antonio and Soren. Ling is the caterer. I liked how that worked out since she is in the culinary career.
Michelle does not look like herself at all in that Styled Look.
The kids do not have many friends, so I invited some of Melonie's friends.
This guy is one of Antonio and Soren's friends. He has already aged up...and is wearing a clown costume.
We have a cake.
Soren First.
Fix it quick.
Now for Antonio.
I like that they don't have to stand up to celebrate.
That's more like Antonio...but a teen? No I can't stand this.
They look too old. I already want to kick him out the house to live on his own.
He looks old enough to start a relationship with Michelle.
I wouldn't mind actually.
Children, teens, young adult, adults, but it look like there only two life stages in this room.
Well... you got his mouth.
Ugh... I can stand it.
At the least, they look like they are at the very end of the teen stage if not fledgling young adults. It makes no sense to me. It's a shame EA would make such a compromise to get the game out.
Hey, there's Casandra Goth.
She's probably a young adult by now, but I think Antonio should meet her.
Maybe she's even an adult. It's difficult to tell.
Meh, I could always use potions to fix age stage issues.
Private conversation, Monique--move along.
Yeah, he said it.
Oh for Pete's sake. Who the heck are you?
Oh forget it.
Too many annoyances on top of annoyances.
Warning: Consider these opinions for the time they were written. TS4 is evolving and how I feel later depends on what EA adds or changes.
Alright, despite reservations, I gave The Sims 4 a try.
And after at first being delighted by the new features, I find I have little interest in this game.
It's not just one or two things. It's about a dozen things. The world structure, the art style, and the absence of Create-A-Style being the major reasons, but it even goes down to how the game play is structured and how annoying emotions can sometimes become, and gosh, don't get me started on the absence of toddlers and young adult looking teens.
I have a list of wants for the game before I invest in expansion packs, but I am not going to get into that.
My focus from now on will be The Sims 3. (2016 Update: I played TS3 for a while and had a wonderful time with it, but game packs and expansion packs and patches will lure me back to TS4 as you will see.)
[Edit]
Never mind that. I will get into since a recent post about what TS4 needs had me commenting on it.
Open and bigger worlds, CASt, more defined lifestages, better emotions and so on.
Yup!
- Plus tone down silly walks
- put in more realistic skies, trees, and terrain paints
- stop it with the humongous award objects
- less blocky objects
- better service NPCs (The mail carrier now shows up, EA gave us Repair sims. I'm still waiting for Burglars and Firefighters)
- (2016 Update: A patch allowed us to hire gardeners.)
- going back to single lots should bring more game play depth to the lots. They are still quite shallow. (EA gave us Spa Day, which is a good example for more depth.)
- family trees (EA added this, though not perfect)
- allow me more editing control of the worlds
- give me back terrain editing tools
- larger lot sizes (Get Together EP is bring larger lots)
- toddlers and pre-teens (they have appeared in an EA survey)
- non-linear game play (EA has been attempting to fix this)
- Fears
- sims and objects not disappearing when you get close to them in camera mode (EA fixed this)
- allow me to see more wishes and locking them in like in TS3. I could better collect wishes for my sim. You have to delete wishes in TS4 to get new ones. (EA improved this)
I have been reading a lot of posts about how bad this game is, and I have to disagree. There are things that bother me. Going back to loading screens is really hard, and going back to a base game is really difficult. However, we all have to remember that base games are never that great compared to the previous we were playing with several expansions.
It's not the lack of expansions that is putting me off it.
It's just the game itself and I don't think expansions will change that.
There are some really great new features, CAS, animations, and build-mode, being the key ones for me, but after I explored them all, my interest in the game evaporated.
I like the art style in some ways, but the reduced mesh details and textures makes it too cartoonish looking for me to get into. I don't mind them stepping away from TS3's realism, but I think they went too far with the sky, trees, and grass. Objects seem over-sized, simplistic, and blocky.
I like humor, but I am not crazy about blunt wackiness. Seeing so many sims strutting about with these silly walks makes me feel like I am playing a game aimed at someone well below the teen rating. The art style only adds to that.
There are too many to-do lists and some seem so linear that you will be experiencing the same exact things whenever you start a new household using the same careers or have children. School, careers, aspirations... do this, do this, do this. TS3 had achievements, but they were something you chose to do, or were incidental to your game play. EA has worked them into TS4's game play. I don't like the game telling me what to do.
I wanted my sims to have more depth in how they react to the world and other sims, but I really don't care for emotions as a main game play element. I want them to have emotions, but I don't wan't to have to constantly react to their emotions or be guided by them. I want them to react logically and realistically to situations I put them in. I don't want to have to react to their constantly shifting emotions.
I don't care for the life stages. Yes, toddlers will come later, but babies, teens, elders, it seems like EA did not have enough time to flesh them out, and skipping toddlers altogether and building teens off young adults, they really must have been rushed to meet the deadline. My sim romanced an elder and I did not realize it into I had him move in. I suspected he was, because he did have some subtle grey fuzz on his bald head, but he did not look like an elder at all other than that. He looked like a young adult. I am actually not opposed to some sims aging well, but I don't think this was intentional.
I don't like how wishes are structured. I prefer to collect wishes and swap them out as better wished supporting what I want for my sim stream by. TS4 does not allow this as you can only see a couple of wishes in addition to the emotion based wish. So basically I can only lock in one and let the other be the stream that I cancel until I get I wish I want to keep, but this only leaves me with 2 instead of the 4 I am used to. Oh, plus the emotion based one, but I don't care for the emotion game play to begin with.
And then there are the two, that in themselves, would have had me skip this series. Indeed, I did buy the base game because I do want The Sims series to continue and I wanted to see what the game was like for myself. However, No Create-A-Style, no large single world, but small broken up neighborhood sections is contributing heavily to my dissatisfaction. I used CASt a lot in TS3. It rescued a lot of objects that I would not have used just for the material finish, or the material finish made the object much more interesting. In general it just multiplies my options.
I love a large open world because I like sending my sims to different locations and I don't feel compelled to have everything on the home lot or having to abandoned sims to go across town or next door. I have a lot more game play options and combinations when the whole world is open to me. Sure TS4 can have more sims on a lot or area, but I haven't found interacting with these sims all that compelling. They make a great show of interacting more realistically, but nothing interesting happens.
There are a lot of other things that bothered me, but I am sure they will be improved with EPs. However, I don't think my main concerns will be improved with EPs. This is just the nature of The Sims 4. I will probably continue with the series, but I am already wondering about The Sims 5 because 4 is just not open enough for me and has limited creative freedom.
One bright spot in all this. I recently tried out custom content. (Images from the future)
I found content to change all that I don't like about TS4 sims. That basically comes down to hair looking more like hair. I found hair, eyebrows, lip textures, eyes, and eyelashes. This makes a nice change to TS4 sims. This is the kind of sim I would like to play.
I, and my sims, are REBELS and we choose to fight this incursion from the MySims empire.
Goodbye My Sims hair.
Goodbye texture-less lips
Goodbye monolash
Goodbye My Sims moss grass.
Goodbye static depth of field effect
Goodbye curly cloud sky (borrowed it from Oasis Springs)
I can play happily in the moddified world above, but I may start replacing trees next. It's a tree bark thing.
It's still cartoonish, but it's pulled back a little from the line EA crossed over.
Just bring on the EPs and the other content I want.
I'm ready to play.
The previous posts were from months back. After playing this far, I had taken a long break and went back to The Sims 3, mostly disappointed in The Sims 4, but still feeling there is some gold in this game.
EA is steadily patching and tweaking game play.
Having Darth and Leia in my game is the last thing I would have expected in TS4.
Hey! Stop that!
Darth is supposed to be Leia's dad.
EA TS4 hair looks very familiar to me. Where have I seen it?
I had only tried one CC hair and it had transparency issues.
So, it had to go.
However, I just tried two more and I have to say... NO MORE PLASTIC HELMET HAIR FOR MY SIMS!
TS4 hair is OK, but still too monolithic for me.
This TS4 hair is nice...
But I found a similar CC version.
That looks like hair! I would love to see CC default replacements.
I tend to avoid long hair styles since they can cut into clothing and body, but this isn't bad.
Still a little too much string.
They can look funny from the side, but I've seen worse.
I will not buy any store hair since it will just undermine what I am trying to do with CC hair.
Unless EA starts making some kind of hybrid hair that bridges the gap between TS4 hair and this kind of CC hair.
Hair that has the volume of TS4 monolithic hair, but a little bit of string from CC hair would be the perfect solution.
Neither group seem to be making it at this point.
This is the hair that has transparency issues. It was a TS3 conversion, so maybe the maker was just bad at converting.
If someone makes a better version, I will add it to my game.
Now I just have to find CC for the rest of the world.
How do I get rid of those dang cartoon clouds?
Wow! And this is why I love our CC community. I was not a huge Sims 3 CC user other than NRaaS' mods to make my game playable. However, if I could get my hands on a good default skin replacement and a few of these great hairs, I would be a Sims 4 CC convert in a hot second. Thank you for sharing this find and giving us hope. And a huge LOL for the spot on play-doh hair comparisons from our favorite anime characters. Why did I not make the connection before?!?
Great timing.
I think EA just went with the flow when they saw the anime look from the concept sketches.
"Hey, let's do that! Yeah, hair just like that!"
I have just finished trying out some new CC.
I tossed out about 40% of them and I probably should have tossed out 4 more hairstyles since they don't work with hats and have some slight transparency issues, but since I have hardly any CC hair now, I am not hyper critical. I'll just be a more selective in the future.
Brooks is my test subject again.
TS4 sims aren't horrible. I like them. I just want some more detail when it comes to hair, eyebrows, and eyelashes.
They are all a bit stringy and whispy, but beggars can't be choosey. I wish I could make the stuff. I know exactly what I want.
I actually prefer short styles. The long ones complicates things and look odd from the side.
There are several glamazon hair styles.
I was going to toss this one out, but I do like the wildness of it. Way too stringy, but interesting.
Bad timing on the picture. Also I didn't have access to the sliders to make her brow less angry for the new eyebrows.
The eyebrows are nice. I prefer something that looks like hair instead of drawn on with a pencil.
Glamazon.
Another short style that I like, but unfortunately it does not work with hats.
There are some styles that do work with hats.
Now, if we could just do something about the rest of her cartoon world...
Angry actually looks good on her.
Give it another year, or two and TS4 cc should be awesome.
I think I like making sims than I do playing them.
How does it look on Olivia?
I think I will be happy with the sims, it's just the rest of the things on my list that I need.
Lovely sims and the short styles seem more feisty.
She's feisty alright.
And the poster sim for what I want my sims to look like.
With all the patch changes, mods, and CC, I am starting to feel a little better about this game.
EPs might make me stick with it, if we get more lots, larger lots, and can place them where we want.
I still need to get rid of those cartoon clouds.
I think I will transfer all this over to my Official Sims 4 Simming moments thread.
I just might be playing this game more often when we get more content.
And this is where I am now, but I still have more pics in the hopper since I have been playing them (the sims in my siggy) because I liked them so much.
I put The Sims 3 aside for a bit and Melonie and family are on hold as I play a made-over Ling and Michelle.
I had been using Michelle Brooks, in Melonie's world, to test out CC.
I liked her and wanted to play her too.
I wanted to do something different though. Maybe there was a side of The Sims 4 that I had yet to see.
I probably should play the Goths too. They seem to be the only household with some character to them.
Angry fashion model look. This is where the name "Angry Girl" stuck. I decided I wanted to create some trouble around town just to see what happens. Michelle is just the sim I need.
I found a custom creation of Jack's Tattoos from Mass Effect 2 by CrazyMammoth.
Sure, Michelle would be a fan of Jack---just the tattoos, not the shaved head.
Wow, that lip gloss is actually glowing.
Now, criminal employment--she's going to be a bad girl.
That's done, what trouble can we get into now?
Ugh, that animated smile makes her look like The Joker. It's appropriate for her though. Don't look now, Joker/ Angry Girl, but here comes your first victim.
Let's mess with her mind first.
We have a lot of mischief socials to run through in order to get that mischief skill up.
She's all worked up for nothing.
Now it's time to get mean.
Oh, and that old TS2 classic: Throw a drink in their face.
What?
That was a fail.
That was really embarrassing. Now she's going to have to beat her up to save face.
Ohh... she lost.
You need some fighting skills, Angry Girl.
She's dazed, but we will press on.
Ugh...cartoon bricks.
[Puts realistic brick patterns on my CC list.]
Nice stance, she looks like a fighter.
I take that back.
There's Bella Goth. We are not going to mess with her. Everyone loves Bella.
Hmm... I could make a sitcom story out of that.
What to do next?
She is hungry.
We might as well get a bit at the bar. She should be able to stir up some trouble there as well.
Her past fail is still effecting her.
She looks a bit down.
Here is a guy she can use to practice her mischief making.
Oh, it looks like the second shift mixologist is in... and she is sporting CC hair that I added to the game.
Good, another mischief skill point.
He's looking a bit smug. Let's take him down a notch.
Let us put that new skill point to work.
"Ha!"
"Wut?"
Really?
Well there is only one thing to do now.
Fight!
She won!
Now that's more like... Hmm... what's up with the mixologist?
She looks like she's striking a pose.
Ohhh!
Yeah, you're rockin' that CC hair, aren't you?
Don't let it go to your head.
Pew! Pew!
Winning that fight was a confidence bosster.
?
I am not sure what is going on here.
But she's pumped.
The walk of confidence.
Michelle is also materialistic.
She gets excited about her new stuff.
The mischief skill and the Chief of Mischief aspiration requires angry girl to be quiet the obnoxious one.
Pestering the same sim over and over again in effort to raise the mischief skill gets boring.
She needs to spread the annoyance around. It's time to get to know the neighbors.
Going through their trash is one way.
"It's amazing how satisfying that feels."
Summer Holiday lives here.
I find it odd that sims you control can invite other sims in personally, but they don't bother to do the same for you.
That rudeness is deserving of some mind games.
Lay it on thick.
Yeah, the Apocalypse really is coming.
It could happen any day now.
Oh, she didn't know.
Summer eventually became fed up with Michell, the angry girl, and threw a drink in her face.
Well, she's really angry now.
More for the fact that angry girl usually fails when she tries that with other people. Summer isn't even a mischief maker and she pulls it off.
Michelle is fighting mad.
It's a good thing she won the fight. Having a drink thrown in her face is embarrassing enough.
Time to move on, places to go, people to pester.
You really should be more selective of the people you allow in your house.
How about the park?
What a beautiful day.
And this guy just looks so happy enjoying it all.
Michelle is just what he needs for a duality lesson.
Show him the complete opposite of what he is currently feeling.
That rumor defies belief, doesn't it?
Claim to be a criminal mastermind.
Get mean with a little insult, just to change things up.
Oh... He didn't like that.
Hey, wait! We still have more mischief skill points to earn.
Oh well, he left an interesting chess situation to ponder.
Another angry guy leaves the park with him.
Hmm... who to target next?
Hey, she's wearing one of my latest custom hair additions.
Wait, so is she. Whoa, bright green.
Well, she is a gardener. The color makes sense if she is that into gardening.
Gosh, another one. This is great, actually. It saves me the time of making over townies. Slap it on more of them.
Ohhh...
Oh no. No no no.
That won't do. I can't have that in my game. I will have to cull all custom hair that isn't hat compatible.
Make fun of her for wearing it.
Michelle's hair is also not compatible with hats, but I thought I would simply not put a hat on her. This townie problem opens up a can of worms. Her hair will eventually have to go too.
She has moved on to the art gallery and is making use of her new ability to pick pockets.
It looks like an honest hug. Man, she's good.
Now that she has her money, she can mess with her.
Gosh, I really should be messing with the walking hot dog.
Yes! Successful drink in the face!
She can cool down and relax now. How about some art appreciation?
She should have some friends. Make nice with this fellow.
We can't resist relieving him of his cash.
This woman is already an enemy.
We have to cross swords with her at every opportunity.
Isn't that the guy from the park sitting next to her? He's still angry. Potent emotion that.
This is how you tell Michelle has been through. Look for the angry sim in her wake.
This was a very productive day. She is more skilled at mischief making and has even made some progress on her aspiration.
I am going through my list of bookmarked custom content, downloading, and trying it out in the game.
I have a long list of design decisions I wish Maxis had not made in creating The Sims 4, but I am finding the CC community stepping in to fix it--much to my delight.
Today's little ray of sunshine is realistic eyelashes to get rid of the current mono-lash.
[Edit] Well not get rid of, as it is still there, but to add to.
Thanks for all the updates and game play you've done. I already bought Sims 4 because, well, you know, have to have all of them. I've played some, but found myself bored. Since I've made Sims 3 load faster, I've been slightly happier with it. At times, I think I should play Sims 4 and create a story there as well. The game loads faster is the main reason. But, that would take away from my current story. And since I have so little time, I need to stick with what's more important.
I do love to see the Sims community stepping in to fix things. The hair you've found is really good and I love it! I laughed when I saw the lady with the hat. As always, I love your commentary and enjoy what you find in the game. I'll continue to check back for updates. Thanks!
@CK213 - Well, just because you know how much I love P.U.R.E., I had to add it to my story that I'll be doing soon. I'll post a pic once I put the story into motion. Hopefully, it'll happen soon.

I do love to see the Sims community stepping in to fix things. The hair you've found is really good and I love it! I laughed when I saw the lady with the hat. As always, I love your commentary and enjoy what you find in the game. I'll continue to check back for updates. Thanks!
I need to update this thread. I am not playing TS4, but I do have a bunch of pics from past game play. I really really like my sims, but I don't feel like playing them with just the base game. Camping isn't enough. Get To Work might not be enough either. Outdoor Retreat + Get to Work + Game Pack 2, maybe.
Dastardly Dastar
A new sim is in the neighborhood. Elvina Dastar.
It was becoming boring having Michelle pick on innocent townies. She needs a challenge.
She certainly looks the part.
Ok ladies, have at it.
Well... she got angry quick enough. Where is she going?
Uhm.. ok.
"That felt great!"
"Elvina, here is a tip. You're supposed to get angry at me, sneak over to my house in the middle of the night, and kick over my trash can. And then I am supposed to get angry at you and plot my revenge. Why don't we just cut to chase and fight it out now?"
That was an easy win. I think I will have to rotational play Elvina to toughen her up.
Oh, don't forget the drink in the face.
"Goodnight, don't be a stranger."
She is getting better at this. I am so proud.
Ha ha! Perfect, random townie.
I think we should go harass Summer Holiday again. She should be fun.
Someone else is here.
Oh, that's right this is a household of roommates. The BFF household. I wonder where they have been hiding.
Travis Scott. He looks friendly enough. I don't even want to bother him.
And here is Liberty Lee. I like that name.
It's late. She should leave, but I think I might have her romance Travis.
That should get under Summer's skin.
Yeah, it's a plan. Not that it would truly matter to Summer, but for role play purposes, I like it.
"You!"
"You!"
Her enemy from the art gallery, let's let her know how we really feel.
Oh!
This is so embarrassing. I suggest bed time. Go hide from the world.
After hiding out, she went to work and came back with a promotion. Her outfit has a hat which isn't good for that hair. I really need to find a replacement for that hair.
It like the bag of loot. Too bad she doesn't actually have that amount of money.
Oh baby, you have to cut back on the pushups!
Dat grass!
I am finally ready to do something about it.
Yes, texture that has texture. Grass that looks like grass instead of moss.
It's not as sharp as I would like--a bit blurry really.
But it looks really nice a little further out.
Unfortunately it does not cover certain areas in the world, but I can live with it.
Really blurry close up. Hmm... Michelle looks like she's contemplating something.
She's really doing situps, but let's go with that.
Being a public nuisance is getting a bit boring. She needs some positive relationships to balance it out.
Oh! Hello, Travis.
He arrived while she was having dinner.
I am so used to sims doing one thing at a time, it still surprises me when a sim takes their dinner with them.
Socializing instead of beating people up, or being beat up, it feels so refreshing. She could get used to this.
They have chatted long enough--time to get flirty.
Sexy pose time!
Pa-chow!
Summer Holiday is going to hate the new girlfriend.
A side benefit, she was put in the mood to make these romantic cookies.
Comments
Too many images on one page.
gotta start filling in with bumps.
Michelle is a good friend.
Thanks, PeachesnDucks.
That's why I love The Sims. I get to create and play with my creations.
(EA improved this)
Put another way from another TS4 thread:
I, and my sims, are REBELS and we choose to fight this incursion from the My Sims empire.
The CC hair hunt starts now.
And on the hunt I went,
Great timing.
And this is where I am now, but I still have more pics in the hopper since I have been playing them (the sims in my siggy) because I liked them so much.
I put The Sims 3 aside for a bit and Melonie and family are on hold as I play a made-over Ling and Michelle.
I love your stories!
More to come.
I hope EA makes good on the potential of this series.
I could have some fun with it.
I am spending a quite night at home, with the next 4 days off--plenty of time to catch up.
I think.
For kids too.

Thanks to the CC hair/hat debacle I am desperately seeking out hat compatible hair.
I am neglecting making male sims, so here is one.

A side benefit, she was put in the mood to make these romantic cookies.
gotta make filler posts to turn the page.
