Can anybody do a tutorial on building a heart shaped pool?

I found two on the gallery and downloaded them but I d like to know how to build one myself. I hear their tricky to make. A video on YouTube would be very helpful.

Hey CLP, I did a step by step for you so hopefully you'll be able to build your own! :) (forgive the notifications, lol!)

Edit: (How to make a larger heart shaped pool below this post)

Start by using the octagon pool tool and make two right next to each other to make the top:

Then, square off the bottom by using the first pool tool to drag a single tile square across it:

Go down another tile, and drag another square section but 1 tile shorter on either side:
    11-08-14_7-52%C2%A0AM.png

Repeat that again one more time so you have 'steps' like the picture:
    11-08-14_7-52%C2%A0AM-2.png

Now select the Triangle pool tool and rotate it so the 45 degree angle is on the outside and place:
    11-08-14_7-53%C2%A0AM.png

Do the same thing for the next part, and the other side of the pool:
    11-08-14_7-53%C2%A0AM-3.png

Finish off the bottom with the triangle tool and you'll have your heart-shaped pool!

    11-08-14_7-54%C2%A0AM-2.png

    11-08-14_7-54%C2%A0AM-3.png

Then you can decorate it with pool lights, flooring and wallpaper as you like. I hope that helps CLP! :D

Thanks, rosemow! I decided that I should also provide steps for making a larger one since that's pretty small. Most of the steps are the same but it helps to read ruthless_kk's guide on enlarging octagon shapes (also found in the Building Tips thread) - http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/789305/expanding-octagonal-rooms-without-distortion

So you start again with the octagon pool tool and if you read ruthless' tutorial you'll know what to do next but I'll go over it again anyway. Make sure you have enough space, initially I placed it too close to the edge and had to move it a bit so at least 2 tiles from the edge:
    11-08-14_11-49%C2%A0AM.png

    11-08-14_11-49%C2%A0AM-2.png

    11-08-14_11-49%C2%A0AM-3.png

Here is where I needed to move it away from the edge.
    11-08-14_11-49%C2%A0AM-4.png

Repeat that with another octagon pool and place them next to each other just like the small version:
    11-08-14_11-50%C2%A0AM.png

And again just like the small one square the bottom off with the first pool tool:
    11-08-14_11-50%C2%A0AM-2.png

Make steps as shown in the small pool and repeat until you get down to a 2 tile point:
    11-08-14_11-50%C2%A0AM-3.png

    11-08-14_11-51%C2%A0AM-2.png

Fill in the steps with the Triangle pool tool all the way to the end for both sides:
    11-08-14_11-51%C2%A0AM-3.png

    11-08-14_11-52%C2%A0AM.png

As you can see it's much larger, and if you want you can make a smaller one on the lot as a sort of 'hot tub stand-in' since we don't have them.

Good luck with building your heart shaped pools! :)

Thank you for the tutorials. I've not played the game for a few days, and now I see we have POOLS. Yay! After The Walking Dead, I don't care what time it is, I'm going to the realm of the Sim tonight.
