Colorist40: I'm pretty disappointed that you will not be completing your Anson story, but I understand that you did not want to cause any problems by continuing to post it on this thread. If you were to continue it on a blog, those who wanted to read it would just have to click the link and those who were uncomfortable with it would not have to.
I'll still continue commenting on any other stories you might have of course. In the future, I will most likely do a plot heavy sim story that I'll probably make a blog for. I have a few good ideas, one of which I'm eager to try out as it features a lot of spicy romance. But I digress. I look forward to still seeing you on this thread and hope that you find some more inspiration.
IreneSwift: The house looks very nice. It's definitely simple and quaint. Farid is definitely a very handsome sim and I love that Alex finally found someone. The Hopeless Romantic in me is always rooting for other people's sims (not just mine) to find romance.

AiHaou: Machinimas are very time consuming and complicated. I admire you for having the patience for it.
I thought of that as I didn't want to give up Anson, but to continue the story on the blog that wouldn't be a solution. Besides to continue half a story on a blog wouldn't be the same as if someone hadn't been in on the beginning, it wouldn't make sense lol. So while I am extremely disappointed myself as I was having fun "rubs hands gleefully" lol with Anson in fact that was the story I was enjoying the most, I felt if I removed it from here, and just put it in a blog it would still be accessible and would have to post the url and let you know when I updated on here, so that would be liking posting it on here. I didn't think a story fictionalized could lead to bad feelings, but I felt the thread was being derailed and I didn't want that.
I appreciate your sentiments and maybe in the future I will find another story or something of interest to post on here. I still have trouble with sisters and Shrek, although this whole fiasco has kind of taken the wind out of my sail so to speak. If nothing else I will be here to comment as usual. I think I am going to take a break from Shrek until sometime next week. I just need to regroup and get my head in a better place.

Here's my Oak Leaf update.
Tanner and Tracy ivanovitch were up early as usual that morning in fall and they were getting ready to add another section of wall to their house in the evening after work.They also noticed that they'd have to update their outerwear for the new season.
They had to collect the mail after the mail got delivered to their house.
Tracy was working in the workshop while the paper got dropped off and Tanner was working in the house.
Tanner went out to recycle the old paper while Tracy was eating and washing his dishes.They were both getting ready for work since it was 4:30 and they wanted to get to work.They left by 5PM.
There were wild horses gathering at the graveyard while they were at work and it was getting dark outside.
Tanner and Tracy got home from work and got the new section of wall up before going to bed.
Keyan never understood why his grandma had so many job costumes.
Parker: "Keyan honey I'm an actress, so all these job costumes you see me in are costumes they're not real... I'm acting to be in the job."

KatieTerrorface: Are you going to have secret agents up there gambling and hobnobbing!? Well, why play for money if you don't need to? Lol- that does sound like fun. Oh my, a keg stand right next to a balcony! It's a good thing sims don't fall over railings! Oh, so that's what Boone looks like when he's not in disguise lol. Apparently, Boone's practicing!
I totally did not think about secret agents! Maybe Boone isn't as safe as he believes afterall! ;o
I actually always found it odd that falling injuries/deaths don't happen in The Sims games. x)

Update:
The next morning, Luxy (Her real name is Lucy, but she prefers this one. Don't tell anyone! Shhh!) and I worked on improving the graphics on our computers.
She also got a notice from one of the town's proprietors. "Hey Luxy, I've heard about you and would like you to perform at the stadium tonight!" Luxy agreed of course.
I'm either gussying up before heading out or imagining what it would be like to wear an eye patch!
We headed out to one of the local beaches and relaxed for most of the day. Luxy didn't exactly relax on the nice beach sands though. lol
When afternoon came, my Simeself headed over to the Starlight Lounge, an Exclusive Lounge/Performance Venue lot in Evansdale County (Originally a Fusion Lounge, but I like this place to be an Exclusive Lounge lot instead lol). I auditioned for an acrobat gig and she liked my performance enough, so I'd perform there the next night.
I have makeovers to the mixologist and pianist there. :P
I'll definitely work on the proprietors in town's looks as well. ^^

After Luxy's performance, she got an opportunity that asked her to drink at the casino we visited the night before. Since it was just across the street, we went!
It got a bit of improvement since the night before for a more casino'ish feel.
Including massage chairs on the first floor lobby!
And here's the mixologist/"owner" of the venue. His name is Malt T. Color. :P
Across town, Boone was learning and improving the sculpting skill. Apparently his first work did not meet his standards!
@Colorist I wish you would finish your Anson story on your blog. I really would like to see how it goes, especially since I'm hoping for a happy ending. You wouldn't have to post links here. Just mention that you have a chapter posted in one of your comments post. Those of us who want to read it will be watching for it. If you're concerned about people coming across it who haven't read the previous chapters here, you could write a brief summary of the plot up to that point, with a link to one of the earlier posts here. And if you have a main blog page with links to each of your stories, you wouldn't need to put a link there, so it would be much less likely that anyone would stumble across it who didn't already know about it.
I for one understand that you're not implying that such situations are common in Muslim countries. But I also know that things like you're writing, and even worse things than that, do happen in remote areas of Muslim countries. The story in the news a few months ago, of an 8-year old bride who died on her wedding night from internal injuries took place in a tribal area of Yemen, where child marriage is legal.
Edit: According to the news stories, the government of Yemen did pass a law outlawing marriages of girls younger than 15, but later removed that law, stating that they preferred to leave it up to parents. But the problem is that child marriage is fueled by poverty. Parents give their little girls in marriage because it saves them the expense of raising them, and gives them extra money from the dowry. They don't do it because they're greedy or uncaring, they do it because they can't afford to feed and clothe their families.
Alex had 13 days to spend in Egypt this time. Farid still had to work, so they couldn't spend all their time together. But Alex had plenty to keep her occupied. She planted her garden early on the second day. Somehow, I missed getting any pictures that day, but I got plenty of shots on other days. I made it look like she had built a buried container garden filled with good soil and mulched, for the smaller plants. The trees were planted together in a second plot with their own sprinkler, and also mulched.
Afterward, she fished in her oasis pond until she was hungry for breakfast.
After she had eaten, she upgraded the sprinkler in the container garden, to auto-watering. Then she got out two completed sets of fragments she'd collected on her adventures, and reconstructed two sarcophagi, a regular one, and a plain one.
She had brought along all the recipes she had left to learn, so after she called Farid and asked him to come over, she started learning one of them. It takes a long time for Farid to get to her house, because he has to run the entire distance, as he has no car.
They spent some time together, then had dinner before Farid headed back home.
On Alex's third morning in Egypt, she tended her garden and upgraded the second garden sprinkler before breakfast.
After she'd showered and eaten, she headed into town to fulfill her promise to spread good rumors about Aisha.
When she reported to Aisha, Aisha gave her a key Farouk had found embedded in the relic Alex had given him, which they believed would unlock a secret, underground market chamber.
Alex spent the rest of the day exploring the tomb under the market. It was quite large, but consisted of many, many doors she had to unlock by various means, before she would finally reach the final chamber and find the relic Farouk needed.
She spent the night sleeping there.
She finally found the final chamber, but when she collected the necessary relic, the adventure glitched, and said one of the targets was no longer available. I checked, and found that both Aisha and Farouk were still alive and well. The opportunity couldn't be completed at that time.
She sought out Farid in the market and spent some time with him, then found another adventure.
This was a simple one, involving taking a picture of a moveable statue for a tourist brochure. Alex now had the skill to complete that one, and soon delivered the photo.
Checking the board again, Alex was given the adventure that had glitched earlier in the day, but this time with two different sims. She delivered the relic she'd found earlier in the day to Youseff Nagi, who asked her to get a photograph of Uum Moussa for a dating site Youseff had signed her up for.
Alex got the photo, but when she gave it to Uum, she became angry that Youseff had taken such liberties, and asked Alex to tell him to mind his own business. But she had a key for Alex to use at Queen Hatshepsut's temple, and asked her to find the queen's chamber and take any useful relics she found to Youseff.
It was late when Alex finally found the queen's personal chamber, so she decided to sleep in the queen's bed.

You know what since you are the second one to request it, and it did sadden me greatly to give up the story I will do it. That is a good compromise. I don't want to offend anybody and I felt like at first if I did continue the story and posted about updates on here then it would be like posting the story on here. While I don't agree with Kirkuk on somethings, I did respect her points of view.
I agree with you that these practices do occur and are terrible, so that is why this story is so important to me.
I had deleted the family after I decided I was not going to do the story, but I had Anson, Elisia and Betty in the CAS bin. I had to redo the girls except for Charmaine and Zoe as they were saved in a different place, so I apologize if the girls look different. I took Anson and Elisia in CAS and generated Alexie and Gemma and gave them similar clothes and hairstyles. If I did make a mistake in remaking them I apologize. I don't remember their traits, so will randomize the girls traits. The boys since I never covered them much I will just do the best I can.
Amj1995: Aww, teenage romances are so sweet. I remember my first teenage romance. I was sixteen. We met at his aunt's baby shower. His cousin's female friend tried to flirt with him the entire time, but he wasn't interested in her. He spent most of the time hanging out with me and keeping me company. *Sighs dreamily* Anyways, cute update. The IFs are so funny when they run.

There were a few birthdays in this update. Ethan became a very cute teenager and Tristan and Cadence became gorgeous young adults. I will also be uploading some sims onto the Exchange soon as well.
Ethan asks his father why girls are so dramatic all the time and overreact over every little thing.
Nathan: Well, son, girls are a species all their own. Learning about them is next to impossible. Guys are much more simple. Sure, we get upset for the first five minutes, but then we get over it, get a few drinks in our system, and call it good. Girls...girls hold onto their drama like a fat cop holds onto a box of donuts and they'll never let you forget it no matter how long it's been.
Grace: Ethan, don't listen to him. Dad, it's sexist remarks like that that make women hate men today.
Nathan: Ah, the boy asked a question, I'm just trying to answer him honestly.
(This was purely for comedic purposes. I mean no harm nor disrespect to the male and female party. )
Robin and Abrielle celebrate the birth of their new baby boy, Michael Dennison!

Cadence seems very angry about something. So, who better to rant to than her Uncle Nathan?

Nathan: *Sighs while thinking: Why did I have to be home for this?* Cadence, you'll soon come to discover that all men are immature jerks at least until they reach their thirties.
Cadence: But that still doesn't explain how Tristan and Grace are in relationships and it'll probably be easy for Ethan as well, but no guy will even look at me!
Nathan: *Thinking as his niece is ranting* Hm...I wonder if Hadley will cook her burgers with onion in them tomorrow. Maybe I'll ask her. *Pretends to listen* Mmhm...yep...men are jerks. Don't worry. You'll be a heartbreaker someday when you get older. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go pick up some groceries. Your Uncle Nathan is going to see if your Aunt Hadley will cook some burgers tomorrow night.
At the risk of sounding like a ********, here's some eye candy for all of you.

Haha, as tempting as it is, I already promised it to your sister. But I do have plans for you, oh tempting one.

Nathan may sometimes make sexist remarks about the female gender, but he really does love his wife so much that he's willing to suffer through a few hours of karaoke at the risk of sounding like a dying whale.
Here is the lovely June Dennison-Tanner. She is the younger sister of Tomika Dennison-Tanner and the youngest daughter of Harmony and Ethan. She's quite the cutie.
Lola now has a friend to rant to about the idiocy of boys. Her Uncle Nathan is quite happy that his ears will get a break now.
Lola enjoys a nice bowl of Stu Surprise with her niece and nephew who she has grown quite close to over the years.
Ethan practices his speech, wanting to gain some Charisma Skill points like so many people in his family already.
Grace finds that the best place to work on her inventions is late at night when everyone is asleep and she won't be bothered by anyone.
Well, except for the ******** Paparazzi here. Ugh.
Grace, sweetie, if you want to, I don't know, perhaps throw that contraption at his face, I won't hold it against you. There are just some levels of creepy that should not be reached.
Ethan works on his muscular tone. He has quite a nice physique for a teen. I did not edit him in any way. He just aged up like that.

Unfortunately, he must have a high Trampoline skill because he didn't even stumble once. Why does the game never give me what I want?
If that's not bad enough, this paparazzi fellow is quite smitten with Lola. That still doesn't stop them from spreading lies about the family though.

As you can tell from June and Harmony being here, it's time for a birthday party. Two birthday parties to be exact!

In the morning, Alex completed the opportunity and went home.
Her garden was starting to look very nice.
And she bought another shelving unit to display her growing collections.
Although Alex didn't bring any eggs from home, and the food shop was still closed, I found out I could buy from the register with debug enabler, so she was finally able to make those cookies for her friend, Nepthy Hawas.
It was getting too late to deliver the cookies that day, so Alex called Farid and invited him over, then sat down to learn her last recipe while she waited for him.
It takes a very long time for Farid to come to Alex's house, because he has no car, so he has to run all the way. He still wasn't there when she finished the recipe, so she cleaned the kitchen sink, then went out to her deck to wait for him.
The timing couldn't have been better, as he was just approaching her deck when she went out. They spent a little time just being romantic with each other, then they ate dinner together, and sat together to cuddle while they talked some more.
While Alex was using the bathroom, Farid changed into his formal wear. He had something very special for Alex, and it seemed most appropriate for him to be dressed up to give it to her.
Miss Swain was overly concerned with the shaking. She stood inappropriately close, and pressed her hand on his forehead, as if she was his mother, and not someone he wasn't even on a first name basis with, and then she had asked if she should call the hospital. That forced his hand. He wasn't going to the hospital!
"No, Miss Svain, this is just a hangovyer. I myust have byeen drrunk lyast nyight. Vhen you'rre oldyerr, and some 'friend' trries to gyet you to drrink, you say no. This is vhat you gyet if you say 'vhy not?'" He said. Of course, he didn't really believe that drinking a little bit was bad, if it had no more affect on him than a soda, how could it be bad? He did not like to drink enough to lose control, and he clearly had. He felt a particular disgust for himself getting that smashed, this level of hangover indicated he'd been stupidly drunk, and that smile said so too. He was probably lucky to be alive today. A fact which particularly irked him since it hurt to be alive today. He felt like something was slowly drilling into his skull, and that was besides feeling like he'd been stabbed in the chest and kicked down some stairs. He figured he'd somehow earned it, though, how had he managed to get that drunk? He sort of wanted to remember, but he was also so annoyed by what he could see, that he probably didn't want to know. Only what he didn't know might complicate things- what if he'd made a pass on his boss? Then again, he'd woken up alive and without any injuries...a spider bite really wasn't an 'injury' so much as a nuisance. "Incidyently, I'd like some vater beforre the coffee."
Based on what he'd overheard while listening to hear if there were signs of life, he figured the drunk explanation would repulse her enough to leave him alone, and kill all thoughts of the hospital. It worked so well he almost felt guilty. She silently brought him a glass of water, which he drained quickly and then she'd brought him coffee, and stayed out of his way.
It was another set back on having her as a source of information, but at the moment, he didn't care. He wanted silence and not to be touched. Going to the hospital involved risking deportation, and avoiding that was worth more than any information he might be able to get from her. Of course, just being allowed to think in silence meant that he ended up mulling over a nightmare he'd just had.
The nightmare seemed to be mostly memories of talking to Vlad back when he first arrived in Bridgeport. Escaping from Russia hadn't been a quick process, he'd been smuggled over the border into China where he stayed for a few months, and then flown to Egypt as an unofficial worker to unload supplies, where he had to lay low for a while with a family of Coptic Christians, and for a little over a year that seemed like it would have been safe enough, but Konstantin Petrovich Ovechkin came for him and one night he had to be rushed onto a plane to France, and after several months there smuggled into Simerica. But Vlad was different. Vlad had no intention of 'babysitting' him.
Vlad had somehow known his grandmother, which seemed a bizarre coincidence. It had put him into a catagory of family friend that Rafael trusted automatically. He'd told Vlad about who was after him, and how he was literally the last one alive in his family. He told him how close he'd come to being murdered in Egypt. Vlad had told him to never tell anyone his life story again, though he hadn't really told his life story, as he'd summarized a lot and left out anything about his father's part in it.
Vlad had assured him that any Russian secret agent after him in Simerica would cause an international incident and with these particular two countries, Russia wouldn't allow Konstantin Petrovich after him here. Of course, nothing was ever for free; he was going to have to work off the debt of all this rescuing, and he'd better work hard. He wasn't staying with Vlad, Vlad was setting it up so he had his own apartment across town, and they would be working together for the foreseeable future.
Thus far the nightmare had been pretty much just memory, but then the dream decided to take a turn into nightmare territory.
Vlad flashed fangs, and then grabbed him up like a coat and sank them into him... that's when he woke up.
This town's stupid superstitions were obviously getting to him, whether he wanted to admit it or not.
Food helped, but he still felt a bit out of it, still he should explore the town. Also, he'd need to find something to do for fun before he lost his mind. Obviously he was doing stupid, reckless things.

The real Luxy dislikes the sun really, so it's sort of fitting the Sim decided to relax indoors. She goes from "I'm fine" to "Oh my gaaaaaaahd, it's sooooo hot!" in like twenty seconds outside. x)
The mixologist really is pretty. Too bad the game never makes townies date them. :[ But I do have more fun with my mixologists than just buy drinks from them. ^^

Here's my Oak Leaf update.
Tanner and Tracy ivanovitch were up early as usual that morning in fall and they were getting ready to add another section of wall to their house in the evening after work.They also noticed that they'd have to update their outerwear for the new season.
They had to collect the mail after the mail got delivered to their house.
Tracy was working in the workshop while the paper got dropped off and Tanner was working in the house.
Tanner went out to recycle the old paper while Tracy was eating and washing his dishes.They were both getting ready for work since it was 4:30 and they wanted to get to work.They left by 5PM.
There were wild horses gathering at the graveyard while they were at work and it was getting dark outside.
Tanner and Tracy got home from work and got the new section of wall up before going to bed.
I hope they get their winterwear soon as they look cold. Congrats on getting a new wall up.
Hmmm wonder why the graveyard such an attraction for the wild horses.

The next morning, Luxy (Her real name is Lucy, but she prefers this one. Don't tell anyone! Shhh!) and I worked on improving the graphics on our computers.
She also got a notice from one of the town's proprietors. "Hey Luxy, I've heard about you and would like you to perform at the stadium tonight!" Luxy agreed of course.
I'm either gussying up before heading out or imagining what it would be like to wear an eye patch!
We headed out to one of the local beaches and relaxed for most of the day. Luxy didn't exactly relax on the nice beach sands though. lol
When afternoon came, my Simeself headed over to the Starlight Lounge, an Exclusive Lounge/Performance Venue lot in Evansdale County (Originally a Fusion Lounge, but I like this place to be an Exclusive Lounge lot instead lol). I auditioned for an acrobat gig and she liked my performance enough, so I'd perform there the next night.
I have makeovers to the mixologist and pianist there. :P
I'll definitely work on the proprietors in town's looks as well. ^^

I filtered the build menu to find the doors that belonged with Al Simhara. That window didn't say it did, but I saw it on other houses there. The wall covering on the inside walls was already there on short wall extensions on those two sides, so I went with it instead of copying the other inside walls. It's the same as the outside. I might change it later, to match the other inside walls instead.
They've gotten to know each other pretty well, but they need time to discuss what they each want and expect with marriage, especially since they come from different cultures and might have conflicting expectations. They'll work it all out, of course.
So, were you holding your breath wanting Alex to marry Farid? You wanted her to marry Lee before. But Lee wasn't nearly as persistent as Farid, and she hadn't given any encouragement to Farid at all, while she had flirted with Lee when she first met him. So Farid is definitely the one that deserves her most.
Was Vladimer the one who'd started Rafael on the life of crime? It seemed like he was doing legitimate work before that point.
I'm wondering if the vampire boss didn't completely erase all his memories of what she'd said about the vampires, if he's dreaming that Vladimer was one. She did tell him that, didn't she?
Was the feeling of something drilling into his skull the result of her messing with his memories, or just part of the effects of blood loss? He doesn't have much time to get his act together, if they're going to be coming after him that very night.
Puddinroy Thank you. Yes, I'm really enjoying the exploring, which is why you haven't been seeing any of my other families lately. Hopefully, I'll be getting back to Rose and Romeo's family soon.
LunBeauty Thank you. Well, you know I wasn't planning on allowing Alex to marry at all, but Farid was too persistent. But I did figure out a way to be able to build onto her house without spoiling what I love about her property. I'll be moving it to a larger lot. The house was the reason I wanted her to stay single. I want her in that house for life, and there's no way to add to it on its current lot, without destroying everything I like about it.
Once they have children, I think their exploring days will be over. They'll be doing other things on their vacations instead. What I read on Carl's Guide about WA said that it's best to explore with only one sim, but I think it can make it work with two. Even at that, there will be times when one or the other of them will be standing around waiting for possibly large chunks of time. A whole family wouldn't work well. Exploring is very hands on, and you can't queue it all up and leave them to do it while you tend to someone else. Most of the time, the next action can't be selected until the current one is finished. Besides, the tombs don't reset. Once they're finished there's nothing left do do, except go back and see if any new coins and small collectibles have been generated.
I think Alex is going to have to settle down a bit once she's married to Farid. Her marriage is going to need some of her time and attention, so she won't have as much for everything else she's been cramming into her life. But with a husband, she won't need so much adventure to keep her occupied either.
Congratulations on all the birthdays. Your family is aging fast. But you said you've shortened the lifespan, didn't you? So, no surprise.

Did the game generate all those sims already, or does Evansdale County come with sims? That's probably the biggest reason I have yet to use any of the custom worlds I've downloaded. I haven't felt like populating an entire world for a game yet. When I did my CAW edit of Sunset Valley, I left all the households in it while I worked on it.
Was that last picture in that update supposed to be Malt T. Color, or Boone? I doesn't look like Boone, but the caption above it is about Boone, though there's another above that that says it's Malt T. Color.

Alex was pleased with the results of the work she had hired to be done in her absence on her house in Egypt.
But she only stayed long enough to put the food she'd brought into the refrigerator and drop off the rest of her things, then she was on her way posthaste to the village. She didn't see who she was looking for in the marketplace, so she continued on her way.
On Alex's previous visits to Al Simhara, she had been strongly attracted to Farid, in spite of what she saw as his faults. He had a winning personality that she found hard to resist, and she thought that they could be friends, but from what little she knew of the culture and religion in his part of the world, she was not willing to be any more involved than that. She enjoyed his company, and sometimes even sought him out in the marketplace, but while she actually was falling in love with him, she refused to admit it, even to herself.
She thought it would be best for him to find someone of his own culture, and even suggested to him that Aisha Lufti would be a better choice. And when she returned to her home and work in Sunset Valley, she had been too busy with her normal routine to give much thought to her own feelings. But, once she arrived in France, it just didn't seem to measure up to what she had expected. There something missing that she just could not explain, not without admitting her true feelings for Farid to herself, which she was still unwilling to do.
Even after she had learned from him that the things she had read were not true of every land which shared the dominant religion of the region, she had become so used to her own denial of the truth, she failed to recognize her feelings for what they really were. Then, at home, on Love Day, the holiday dedicated to romantic love, that feeling of desolation overtook her more powerfully than before, and the message she had gotten from the Love Indicator which seemed to be referring to some deep feelings that she still refused to acknowledge, made her angry.
As she skated furiously around the rink, lost in thought, she had finally realized what had been in her heart all along. The thought that she had tried to direct the man she loved to someone else filled her with panic. What if he had taken her advice? The thought was too terrible! She could not wait another moment! She must go to him immediately, before it was too late! If it wasn't already.
Since early this morning, Farid had been so excited, it was if he were walking on air. His mother had asked what it was that made him so happy, and he had told her, “Alex is coming back today.” She did not need to ask any further questions. Farid had told his mother all about Alex, and she knew how he felt about her.
When Alex had been in Al Simhara, he had fallen in love with her, but she had rejected his every attempt to win her. When she attempted to get him interested in Aisha Lufti shortly before she had returned to her own home the last time she visited, he had lost all hope. But then she had suddenly started calling him on the phone while she was in France, at least twice every day, sometimes even three times, and he had begun to hope again. She hadn't stopped when she went back to her home in Sunset Valley, either, but had continued to call just as often.
Not that she had given him any direct encouragement to think she had changed her mind about him – no, she talked about everything except his feelings for her or whatever hers might be for him. But still, she wasn't calling anyone else in Al Simhara. He knew all her friends, and none of them had heard from her. But Farid would be patient and wait until she was ready to bring up the subject herself.
Now, here she was in his own home. She had come here without his prompting, to find him. But still, she did not speak of what he most wanted to hear. Their conversation went everywhere except there. But something was bothering Alex. She was no good at hiding her feelings, and Farid could see her anxiety in her face. What she was troubled about, he could not guess.
But then, in the course of the conversation, he mentioned that he was still single, and not seeing anyone. The relief that flooded Alex's face at that moment told him everything he needed – and wanted – to know.
As Farid reached out and gently stroked her cheek, he could feel her sudden tension, and sensed that she was holding her breath.
But, she did not pull away, so....
Now, he asked if she would be his, and she agreed.
It wasn't time yet for a full commitment. There were many important things they needed to discuss before that could come. They got started right away.
Then Alex talked with Farid's mother, Salah. They found they had some things in common.
Salah was very pleased with her son's choice. Soon she and Alex were good friends.
Now that Alex had finally admitted her feelings to herself, she couldn't get enough of expressing her love to Farid.
He thought he could definitely get used to this!
Farid had not yet seen Alex's house near Al Simhara, so she took him there to see it, and they talked some more.
Alex sang the love songs she'd learned in China and France to Farid.
Then while Alex prepared Farid's favorite meal for dinner, he fished in her pond.
That night, they both slept more peacefully than they had in some time, he in his home, and she in hers.
Although I really liked the open air look you did an amazing job in putting up walls. It looks really sweet.
Oh oh falling in love with a foreigner might not be such a good idea as their cultures are so different and will make for a lot of misunderstandings.

I thought of that as I didn't want to give up Anson, but to continue the story on the blog that wouldn't be a solution. Besides to continue half a story on a blog wouldn't be the same as if someone hadn't been in on the beginning, it wouldn't make sense lol. So while I am extremely disappointed myself as I was having fun "rubs hands gleefully" lol with Anson in fact that was the story I was enjoying the most, I felt if I removed it from here, and just put it in a blog it would still be accessible and would have to post the url and let you know when I updated on here, so that would be liking posting it on here. I didn't think a story fictionalized could lead to bad feelings, but I felt the thread was being derailed and I didn't want that.
I appreciate your sentiments and maybe in the future I will find another story or something of interest to post on here. I still have trouble with sisters and Shrek, although this whole fiasco has kind of taken the wind out of my sail so to speak. If nothing else I will be here to comment as usual. I think I am going to take a break from Shrek until sometime next week. I just need to regroup and get my head in a better place.

Colorist40-I've seen the way your sims do things in that story actually happen to some cults here and the story gets into the news.There was one such cult in Waco,Texas in the 1990's called the Branch Davidians that got caught up in a stand-off with law enforcement over that and other issues.

I for one understand that you're not implying that such situations are common in Muslim countries. But I also know that things like you're writing, and even worse things than that, do happen in remote areas of Muslim countries. The story in the news a few months ago, of an 8-year old bride who died on her wedding night from internal injuries took place in a tribal area of Yemen, where child marriage is legal.
Edit: According to the news stories, the government of Yemen did pass a law outlawing marriages of girls younger than 15, but later removed that law, stating that they preferred to leave it up to parents. But the problem is that child marriage is fueled by poverty. Parents give their little girls in marriage because it saves them the expense of raising them, and gives them extra money from the dowry. They don't do it because they're greedy or uncaring, they do it because they can't afford to feed and clothe their families.
Afterward, she fished in her oasis pond until she was hungry for breakfast.
After she had eaten, she upgraded the sprinkler in the container garden, to auto-watering. Then she got out two completed sets of fragments she'd collected on her adventures, and reconstructed two sarcophagi, a regular one, and a plain one.
She had brought along all the recipes she had left to learn, so after she called Farid and asked him to come over, she started learning one of them. It takes a long time for Farid to get to her house, because he has to run the entire distance, as he has no car.
They spent some time together, then had dinner before Farid headed back home.
On Alex's third morning in Egypt, she tended her garden and upgraded the second garden sprinkler before breakfast.
After she'd showered and eaten, she headed into town to fulfill her promise to spread good rumors about Aisha.
When she reported to Aisha, Aisha gave her a key Farouk had found embedded in the relic Alex had given him, which they believed would unlock a secret, underground market chamber.
Alex spent the rest of the day exploring the tomb under the market. It was quite large, but consisted of many, many doors she had to unlock by various means, before she would finally reach the final chamber and find the relic Farouk needed.
She spent the night sleeping there.
She finally found the final chamber, but when she collected the necessary relic, the adventure glitched, and said one of the targets was no longer available. I checked, and found that both Aisha and Farouk were still alive and well. The opportunity couldn't be completed at that time.
She sought out Farid in the market and spent some time with him, then found another adventure.
This was a simple one, involving taking a picture of a moveable statue for a tourist brochure. Alex now had the skill to complete that one, and soon delivered the photo.
Checking the board again, Alex was given the adventure that had glitched earlier in the day, but this time with two different sims. She delivered the relic she'd found earlier in the day to Youseff Nagi, who asked her to get a photograph of Uum Moussa for a dating site Youseff had signed her up for.
Alex got the photo, but when she gave it to Uum, she became angry that Youseff had taken such liberties, and asked Alex to tell him to mind his own business. But she had a key for Alex to use at Queen Hatshepsut's temple, and asked her to find the queen's chamber and take any useful relics she found to Youseff.
It was late when Alex finally found the queen's personal chamber, so she decided to sleep in the queen's bed.
You know what since you are the second one to request it, and it did sadden me greatly to give up the story I will do it. That is a good compromise. I don't want to offend anybody and I felt like at first if I did continue the story and posted about updates on here then it would be like posting the story on here. While I don't agree with Kirkuk on somethings, I did respect her points of view.
I agree with you that these practices do occur and are terrible, so that is why this story is so important to me.
I had deleted the family after I decided I was not going to do the story, but I had Anson, Elisia and Betty in the CAS bin. I had to redo the girls except for Charmaine and Zoe as they were saved in a different place, so I apologize if the girls look different. I took Anson and Elisia in CAS and generated Alexie and Gemma and gave them similar clothes and hairstyles. If I did make a mistake in remaking them I apologize. I don't remember their traits, so will randomize the girls traits. The boys since I never covered them much I will just do the best I can.

Ethan asks his father why girls are so dramatic all the time and overreact over every little thing.
Nathan: Well, son, girls are a species all their own. Learning about them is next to impossible. Guys are much more simple. Sure, we get upset for the first five minutes, but then we get over it, get a few drinks in our system, and call it good. Girls...girls hold onto their drama like a fat cop holds onto a box of donuts and they'll never let you forget it no matter how long it's been.
Grace: Ethan, don't listen to him. Dad, it's sexist remarks like that that make women hate men today.
Nathan: Ah, the boy asked a question, I'm just trying to answer him honestly.
(This was purely for comedic purposes. I mean no harm nor disrespect to the male and female party.
Robin and Abrielle celebrate the birth of their new baby boy, Michael Dennison!
*Sigh* Really, you two? Really?

I knew it. Harmony just walked in the opposite direction and Lola turned around and saw it.
While Lola lets out her inner child hunting eggs, Jake most likely bruises his boys by riding on the mechanical bull. He managed to stay on for quite awhile.

Cadence seems very angry about something. So, who better to rant to than her Uncle Nathan?
Cadence: And then the guy told me that he wouldn't touch me with a ten foot pole? What the heck is wrong with me?! I'm hot stuff! They'll all be sorry!
Nathan: *Sighs while thinking: Why did I have to be home for this?* Cadence, you'll soon come to discover that all men are immature jerks at least until they reach their thirties.
Cadence: But that still doesn't explain how Tristan and Grace are in relationships and it'll probably be easy for Ethan as well, but no guy will even look at me!
Nathan: *Thinking as his niece is ranting* Hm...I wonder if Hadley will cook her burgers with onion in them tomorrow. Maybe I'll ask her. *Pretends to listen* Mmhm...yep...men are jerks. Don't worry. You'll be a heartbreaker someday when you get older. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go pick up some groceries. Your Uncle Nathan is going to see if your Aunt Hadley will cook some burgers tomorrow night.
At the risk of sounding like a ********, here's some eye candy for all of you.
Ethan: You know you want to make me heir.
Haha, as tempting as it is, I already promised it to your sister. But I do have plans for you, oh tempting one.
Lola and Hadley talk about how big their children are getting.
Lola: I can't believe that Grace and Ethan are already sixteen and thirteen. How did our kids get so big so fast?

That conversation was ruined by some old geezer calling to ask Hadley out on a date. :?
After Lola went inside to put on another load of clothes in the wash, Hadley enjoyed a cannonball dive into the pool.
Nathan may sometimes make sexist remarks about the female gender, but he really does love his wife so much that he's willing to suffer through a few hours of karaoke at the risk of sounding like a dying whale.
Here is the lovely June Dennison-Tanner. She is the younger sister of Tomika Dennison-Tanner and the youngest daughter of Harmony and Ethan.
Lola now has a friend to rant to about the idiocy of boys. Her Uncle Nathan is quite happy that his ears will get a break now.
Lola enjoys a nice bowl of Stu Surprise with her niece and nephew who she has grown quite close to over the years.
Ethan practices his speech, wanting to gain some Charisma Skill points like so many people in his family already.
Grace finds that the best place to work on her inventions is late at night when everyone is asleep and she won't be bothered by anyone.
Well, except for the ******** Paparazzi here. Ugh.
Grace, sweetie, if you want to, I don't know, perhaps throw that contraption at his face, I won't hold it against you. There are just some levels of creepy that should not be reached.
Ethan works on his muscular tone. He has quite a nice physique for a teen.

Unfortunately, he must have a high Trampoline skill because he didn't even stumble once. Why does the game never give me what I want?
If that's not bad enough, this paparazzi fellow is quite smitten with Lola. That still doesn't stop them from spreading lies about the family though.
Nathan and Hadley still manage to keep the romance alive in their relationship.
As you can tell from June and Harmony being here, it's time for a birthday party. Two birthday parties to be exact!

Giggles, I'm so excited for my trip to my conference.
Her garden was starting to look very nice.
And she bought another shelving unit to display her growing collections.
Although Alex didn't bring any eggs from home, and the food shop was still closed, I found out I could buy from the register with debug enabler, so she was finally able to make those cookies for her friend, Nepthy Hawas.
It was getting too late to deliver the cookies that day, so Alex called Farid and invited him over, then sat down to learn her last recipe while she waited for him.
It takes a very long time for Farid to come to Alex's house, because he has no car, so he has to run all the way. He still wasn't there when she finished the recipe, so she cleaned the kitchen sink, then went out to her deck to wait for him.
The timing couldn't have been better, as he was just approaching her deck when she went out. They spent a little time just being romantic with each other, then they ate dinner together, and sat together to cuddle while they talked some more.
While Alex was using the bathroom, Farid changed into his formal wear. He had something very special for Alex, and it seemed most appropriate for him to be dressed up to give it to her.
Miss Swain was overly concerned with the shaking. She stood inappropriately close, and pressed her hand on his forehead, as if she was his mother, and not someone he wasn't even on a first name basis with, and then she had asked if she should call the hospital. That forced his hand. He wasn't going to the hospital!
"No, Miss Svain, this is just a hangovyer. I myust have byeen drrunk lyast nyight. Vhen you'rre oldyerr, and some 'friend' trries to gyet you to drrink, you say no. This is vhat you gyet if you say 'vhy not?'" He said. Of course, he didn't really believe that drinking a little bit was bad, if it had no more affect on him than a soda, how could it be bad? He did not like to drink enough to lose control, and he clearly had. He felt a particular disgust for himself getting that smashed, this level of hangover indicated he'd been stupidly drunk, and that smile said so too. He was probably lucky to be alive today. A fact which particularly irked him since it hurt to be alive today. He felt like something was slowly drilling into his skull, and that was besides feeling like he'd been stabbed in the chest and kicked down some stairs. He figured he'd somehow earned it, though, how had he managed to get that drunk? He sort of wanted to remember, but he was also so annoyed by what he could see, that he probably didn't want to know. Only what he didn't know might complicate things- what if he'd made a pass on his boss? Then again, he'd woken up alive and without any injuries...a spider bite really wasn't an 'injury' so much as a nuisance. "Incidyently, I'd like some vater beforre the coffee."
Based on what he'd overheard while listening to hear if there were signs of life, he figured the drunk explanation would repulse her enough to leave him alone, and kill all thoughts of the hospital. It worked so well he almost felt guilty. She silently brought him a glass of water, which he drained quickly and then she'd brought him coffee, and stayed out of his way.
It was another set back on having her as a source of information, but at the moment, he didn't care. He wanted silence and not to be touched. Going to the hospital involved risking deportation, and avoiding that was worth more than any information he might be able to get from her. Of course, just being allowed to think in silence meant that he ended up mulling over a nightmare he'd just had.
The nightmare seemed to be mostly memories of talking to Vlad back when he first arrived in Bridgeport. Escaping from Russia hadn't been a quick process, he'd been smuggled over the border into China where he stayed for a few months, and then flown to Egypt as an unofficial worker to unload supplies, where he had to lay low for a while with a family of Coptic Christians, and for a little over a year that seemed like it would have been safe enough, but Konstantin Petrovich Ovechkin came for him and one night he had to be rushed onto a plane to France, and after several months there smuggled into Simerica. But Vlad was different. Vlad had no intention of 'babysitting' him.
Vlad had somehow known his grandmother, which seemed a bizarre coincidence. It had put him into a catagory of family friend that Rafael trusted automatically. He'd told Vlad about who was after him, and how he was literally the last one alive in his family. He told him how close he'd come to being murdered in Egypt. Vlad had told him to never tell anyone his life story again, though he hadn't really told his life story, as he'd summarized a lot and left out anything about his father's part in it.
Vlad had assured him that any Russian secret agent after him in Simerica would cause an international incident and with these particular two countries, Russia wouldn't allow Konstantin Petrovich after him here. Of course, nothing was ever for free; he was going to have to work off the debt of all this rescuing, and he'd better work hard. He wasn't staying with Vlad, Vlad was setting it up so he had his own apartment across town, and they would be working together for the foreseeable future.
Thus far the nightmare had been pretty much just memory, but then the dream decided to take a turn into nightmare territory.
Vlad flashed fangs, and then grabbed him up like a coat and sank them into him... that's when he woke up.
This town's stupid superstitions were obviously getting to him, whether he wanted to admit it or not.
Food helped, but he still felt a bit out of it, still he should explore the town. Also, he'd need to find something to do for fun before he lost his mind. Obviously he was doing stupid, reckless things.
Lol I'll differentiate us a tad more. I used to have more pink/red outfits on my Simself while Lucy had green/teal. :P
And thanks! I enjoy doing makeovers on service Sims. They just work so hard and the townies just ignore them for the most part. x)

The real Luxy dislikes the sun really, so it's sort of fitting the Sim decided to relax indoors. She goes from "I'm fine" to "Oh my gaaaaaaahd, it's sooooo hot!" in like twenty seconds outside. x)
The mixologist really is pretty. Too bad the game never makes townies date them. :[ But I do have more fun with my mixologists than just buy drinks from them. ^^

I filtered the build menu to find the doors that belonged with Al Simhara. That window didn't say it did, but I saw it on other houses there. The wall covering on the inside walls was already there on short wall extensions on those two sides, so I went with it instead of copying the other inside walls. It's the same as the outside. I might change it later, to match the other inside walls instead.
They've gotten to know each other pretty well, but they need time to discuss what they each want and expect with marriage, especially since they come from different cultures and might have conflicting expectations. They'll work it all out, of course.
So, were you holding your breath wanting Alex to marry Farid? You wanted her to marry Lee before. But Lee wasn't nearly as persistent as Farid, and she hadn't given any encouragement to Farid at all, while she had flirted with Lee when she first met him. So Farid is definitely the one that deserves her most.
Was Vladimer the one who'd started Rafael on the life of crime? It seemed like he was doing legitimate work before that point.
I'm wondering if the vampire boss didn't completely erase all his memories of what she'd said about the vampires, if he's dreaming that Vladimer was one. She did tell him that, didn't she?
Was the feeling of something drilling into his skull the result of her messing with his memories, or just part of the effects of blood loss? He doesn't have much time to get his act together, if they're going to be coming after him that very night.
Puddinroy Thank you. Yes, I'm really enjoying the exploring, which is why you haven't been seeing any of my other families lately. Hopefully, I'll be getting back to Rose and Romeo's family soon.
LunBeauty Thank you. Well, you know I wasn't planning on allowing Alex to marry at all, but Farid was too persistent. But I did figure out a way to be able to build onto her house without spoiling what I love about her property. I'll be moving it to a larger lot. The house was the reason I wanted her to stay single. I want her in that house for life, and there's no way to add to it on its current lot, without destroying everything I like about it.
Once they have children, I think their exploring days will be over. They'll be doing other things on their vacations instead. What I read on Carl's Guide about WA said that it's best to explore with only one sim, but I think it can make it work with two. Even at that, there will be times when one or the other of them will be standing around waiting for possibly large chunks of time. A whole family wouldn't work well. Exploring is very hands on, and you can't queue it all up and leave them to do it while you tend to someone else. Most of the time, the next action can't be selected until the current one is finished. Besides, the tombs don't reset. Once they're finished there's nothing left do do, except go back and see if any new coins and small collectibles have been generated.
I think Alex is going to have to settle down a bit once she's married to Farid. Her marriage is going to need some of her time and attention, so she won't have as much for everything else she's been cramming into her life. But with a husband, she won't need so much adventure to keep her occupied either.

They definitely need a high fence and electric gate. All my celebrities get them once paparazzi or townies start intruding on their personal space.

Did the game generate all those sims already, or does Evansdale County come with sims? That's probably the biggest reason I have yet to use any of the custom worlds I've downloaded. I haven't felt like populating an entire world for a game yet. When I did my CAW edit of Sunset Valley, I left all the households in it while I worked on it.
Was that last picture in that update supposed to be Malt T. Color, or Boone? I doesn't look like Boone, but the caption above it is about Boone, though there's another above that that says it's Malt T. Color.
