Picnics with adults

Are picnics a thing now with toddlers? Or do you have to pack a lunch if you want to have a snack at a park in a group?

Toddlers can eat what ever the older sims are eating. So if there is a grill at the park, just have someone grill something, and they will place it on the table. The toddler can walk over and pick up their plate just like everyone else.

I don't remember a picnic basket, that was in Sims 3. About the most I've seen in this game is either pack a sack lunch and bring it, or grill.
