Sims not using umbrellas

None of my Sims will use an umbrella.
I have chosen one from the stand, I send them out in the rain and they don't use it.
It doesn't matter if it's heavy rain, light rain or a thunderstorm.
Am I missing something here?

If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and see if the issues are still there.
If the issues still remain, repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair.

It was being caused by a Mod called: LittleMsSam_PregnancyOverhaul.

My sims don't either. Wish we could just buy them like on sims 3 and shove them into their inventory. They don't know to use them.

It was a mod causing my umbrella issues. Have you repaired the game via Origin? I did this after removing the mod but now I have other issues like time and sims hanging on interactions for about 10 seconds, my Sims seem to teleport when they are speaking to other sims. I seem to fix one issue then end up with another
If you haven’t already done this , try removing the localthumbcache.package file and test the game without the mods folder in it and see if the issues remain.

Hi sorry, I should have said: I have done this and repaired the game. It seems to be related to my save because new games don't have this issue. I should also add, when I ran it with MCCC (alone) it gave me over 200 last exception notifications within the space of a second. When my sims hang in interactions the in game time also stops but it is not a game crash because I can still enter build mode and click on objects.
