Offline Mode Error

Hiya! So, I’m moving and won’t have internet at this new place until Tuesday. I thought I’d play a little sims in offline mode, but when I pulled up origin and logged in I got a “Well, that didn’t go as planned” screen. I’m definitely in offline mode because I can see the “offline mode” in the upper right hand corner.

Is there something I can do? If not it doesn’t matter too much. I’ve googled around a bit, but I’m still not sure if there’s something I can do. Thank you

Also I’m posting this on my phone with data. I can’t make a hot spot temporarily to go online and then offline, though. I’m really not sure how origin’s offline works : p

I'm not sure myself, but from what I understand the game has to have an internet connection to start up and then will not remain connected.
