I want some classic things, like a seasons EP with all that must be in this kind of EP and long beach chairs please, i need those for my pool area. I want burglars, firefighters, and real cops. All they do beyond that, could be new or old stuff, i don't care, it will be things that i will analyse to choose to buy or not.

I edited just to add something, how could i forget that, swim in the ocean, lakes, rivers, i don't know, all over the place ahaha This should be included on the seasons EP.

Honestly i'm bored of the gameplay because the sims feel lacking in personalities :/ relationships don't feel they have any depth to them. Also, weather is a must and the fact that they are okay with putting it off for so long shows how little they care about players sometimes. TS3 was so fun because it felt more dramatic and real. The town really had a personality and sims had reputations.

What do we actually want? Do we want something redone, or do we want something different?
The thing is we all want something different for me with Supernatural and University I'd be happy to never see either those 2 packs again but Seasons and Open for Business are packs I'd want in every Sims game ever made. Even though Get to Work was done extremely poorly I still want more and to see the retail system fixed hopefully @SimGuruGrant adds other packs to it like he mentioned and we see improvements are shopping bags, working cash registers and actual clothing racks just to hard...

Working cash registers, i love that, all costumers stressing out because of my sim low skill typing in cash register. I don't want my sims in the " digital era", like make a sell totally in a tablet, no please. In real live, there are lots of companies that talk about " move to the digital", i'm already tired of the digital already, move to digital in games business is stupid, if you forget the traditional, and that is happening outside the PC game, with the Sims mobile, and insiste, no more phones at houses, newspapers, i think that in future the Sims games they will end with book aswell.

Personally, I would like a new game that isn't tied to Origin and isn't built in a way to provide support to MMO type game play. And I hope they take a looooooong hard look at the multi complex system of The Sims2 before they go off and build a new game.

I would love to no longer have this game be a live service. Every time a survey comes up about origin, I express that I would prefer to play my games without logging in first. The only other games I play do not require a live service.

Well I didn't vote for off grid because I see that more as some fashionable word for going back to nature... Using solar power or wind power ect. This is all well and good to use these things ... but that's not why I want this idea in my game. I want them for stories to live in a different age or an alternate universe. You can pick the age... 1950's, medieval, caveman? Some weird apocalypse that doesn't look like a sandstorm maybe? I'd also like it for the fashionable take on it though as well as just playing homeless sims. Homeless people don't usually carry cell phones.
I think it went off topic by the way. It's what do we want. This is one thing I want.. I just don't see it coming this time around.

    • More deaths/accidents/randomness, less second chances. To better differentiate reaction to death between a friend/family and a stranger, especially for the "witness a death" and "death of a loved one" moodlets. They should also react when friends/family die in a different lot. I also don't think it's normal sims let food in the oven for hours without putting it on fire. I love that they are crying all over the place, I don't like that they have the "witness a death" moodlet when they didn't see it and the "death of a loved one" moddlet for complete strangers while they don't react AT ALL when friends die in a different lot. I also don't like how they inexplicably become happy after moping for a while day.
    • An individual memory system. Emotions are not enough, I want them to remember long after the moodlets disappear.
    • Vacation EP/GP: beach, island, mountains, ski resort etc.
    • Education EP/GP for from toddlers to YA (active kindergarten, school, high school, university)
    • Romance EP/GP/patch: chemistry/attraction system, slow dance, cuddling/making out on beds, more whoohoo locations, romantic interactions at the table etc.
    • More supernaturals: witches, werewolves, zombies etc.
    • Seasons.
    • IF/WHEN they bring back cars, I want car animations: going in/out, talking, whoohoo and other romantic interactions etc.
    • More traits/aspirations especially for children/teens.
    • Hobbies more detailed than S2 for ALL life stages.
    • More normal and active careers/professions: education, law, mechanic, firefighter, photographer, military, dancing, acting, fashion etc.
    • More pool activities/interactions both friendly and romantic.
    • More sports for ALL life stages: football, baseball, tennis etc.
    • The "play" interaction: hide-and-seek, tag, playing house, pillow fight, rock-paper-scissors, etc.
    • More social events for kids and teens: sleepovers, proms, tea party, costume party, graduation party etc.
    • Teens and above should be able to play with kids items.
    • More skills. Why can't children learn how to cook?
    • Emotions/whims should NEVER override personality.
    • Meaningful relationships: why is it just as easy for mean sims to socialize as for nice sims? Why do enemies accept to hang out together? Why do adults invite kids to go to a nightclub? etc.
    • Burglars/Firefighters/policemen NPCs and add some new ones.
    • Give us options/toggles: don't want phones automatically tied to sims? Done. Don't want season/supernaturals in you game? Done etc.

Seasons is an essential EP for me. I almost didn't buy the game until it was launched [since I had waited so long anyways because of the launch issues] but I ended up caving December 17. It's been my favorite pack in S2 and S3 because it just makes the world more dynamic. To me, perma summer lacks the feeling of time that seasons brings and that is coming from someone who lives in an area where I have 10 months of basically summer and 2 kinda colder ones.

After seasons though I'm up for anything.

the sims games have always had favourites to be added to each series.
the series would be a complete flop without the past favourites.
I have yet to see much new ideas so far in this game.

I like the old features in every sims series, well apart from 4 :#

I would like the staples of Smarter Sims, context and trait-appropriate emotional responses, Weather, and cars. (Because, hey, we're a motorized society, amirite?). Whatever happens after that, I'm not bothered about either way. I would just like the staples, please.

I personally would love any kind of pack just because I love giving my sims new things to do. I feel like university and seasons are important and basic expansion packs that you’ll always see in a sims series. To give it away during the launch of a game would be a mistake as those are the packs that usually everyone waits for and will pay for. I’d love for it to already be included during launch but I know it’s not practical for them. I would love to have an amusement park as a (well-developed) vacation world to finally give my families a vacation that has more activities for kids as well as activities for adults, gives them more things to bond over and share fun experiences. It could have a nostalgic vibe with aesthetics similar to Disney World/Epcot or even that Sims 3 Boardwalk. I would also love an Isla Paradiso kind of world, whether it’s residential or a vacation world or both, to finally bring back swimming in oceans, ice cream trucks, living in houseboats, hotels, etc. I’ve mentioned in a different post that I also wanted a skateboarding GP that would make introduce skate parks, skateboarding, competitions, roller skating, and more and allow sims to experience injuries and things, like a broken arm or leg and having them wear a cast/crutches/wheelchair, since it’s never been done I think.

However, What I’ve noticed from suggestions that I made in previous posts (expansions, game packs, stuff packs) is that I’m always craving for a pack that gives more depth to the game. And I’ve mentioned this before too. I want more interaction, more chemistry, etc. I would love more romance, frisky options, and cute silly options to do together as a couple. More interactions between families, specifically babies or family events. Although Sims 2 had its flaws, I always refer back to it because to me, it had depth. It had the memories, the turn on/offs, body language was more personal instead of standing far away from each other or backs facing each other when speaking. These things shaped the way the sims interacted with each other and shaped the way their life would turn out. Like if they had a terrible past, it would show and affect the way they grow up. I loved the Parenting pack in sims 4 because of that reason. My teens finally acted like teens, there’s consequences to their actions, there’s curfews, etc. Sims Mobile has options that suggest cute interactions like cooking together or teaching each other how to do things and other interactions like that. It would be nice to see that in Sims 4.

Also, I go back to sims 2 because of the way that sims would go on vacation and learn greetings, sayings, dances, bring souvenirs, photo albums, etc. and it wasn’t just like a new skill, it was a new way of living for them since they would greet their friends back home with these different gestures. Jungle adventures touched on that a bit which was great. I also liked the university social groups in sims 3 because you unlocked certain interactions, like dumpster diving and things like that. I personally like packs that shapes a sims life and make them stand out from the other sims. I also loved being able to take classes to learn or increase a skill in sims 3. In sims 4, they kind of did that with yoga classes at the spa. I wish they had continued to do things like that where they learn an activity with an instructor. Maybe cooking classes in a restaurant, painting class at the gallery, etc.

I am more of a story-based player so I always always always say that even the smallest details add to a sim’s story. For example, slow dancing, dancing together one on one, proposing at the table, Grandma’s Soup, makeout/cuddling on the bed, photobooth, etc. Cops, burglars, fire trucks, ambulances, Repo, etc. Even Mrs.Crumplebottom hitting everyone with her purse. This is something I feel Sims 4 lacks in some aspects. In my opinion, There are a lot of interactions, hobbies, and NPCs that I am still surprised have not made it back to the sims 4.

I would like to see a combination of old and new stuff. And I would especially like to see more interactions. I miss children being able to play cops and robbers and other games together (from the sims 2). I miss the romance interactions, playing footsie in the restaurant, whoohoo in the shower, cuddling up on a bear skin rug ( what a great interaction that would have been for outdoor retreat), playing volleyball with the family.

I would love to see stuff to make a casino. Stuff to make an amusement park, a water park and something like sea world. Souvenir (shops), hot dog stands, peanut/ popcorn vendor, ice cream/icee vendor( that you can add to other world as well, like in parks.

I want to see a farm pack, that my farmers can call home, with breedable animals that can be used for food, beef, pork, goat, lamb, chicken. At the same time I would like to be able to get milk from cows, eggs from chickens, wool from sheep. I want my farmers to have to feed and clean up after their animals, I want to see barn dancing with fiddlers and special farm dances. A great place to add new crops like corn, grain and hay. I also want to see a sewing machine ( both antique and modern) in this pack and patterns and bolts of Fabric (what a great place to add a color wheel!). I would like to see a butter churn and canning station return, and a cupboard to store things (just like the boxes we can store things in). There are so many things I can see coming in this pack!

I would like to see a return of superstar (sims 2 version), with active careers (I loved get to work, mostly the career part), though I wish the lots were not hidden, and sims could walk into the hospital and police station, and take a tour of the science facility.

I would like to see more active and non active careers. I think each expansion pack should come with a few careers, and each GP should come with at least 1 new one. I want my Mr. fixit to be a plumber, and work around 4 hours a day. I don’t see why they can’t set it for him to go to other homes and fix things the way officers investigate clues at different homes in get to work.

I want to see an education pack, where we can follow our teachers or students to school. I want preschool, grade school, high school, and University.

Where are our pool tables, variety of pin ball and video game machines, and family volleyball? I want my children to play with baby dolls. Maybe rag dolls for farmers children in a farming pack. I want them to be able to play hopscotch with other children, and play on swings and slides, and merry-go-rounds ( not just toddlers.) And, how about adding preteens? And could you please bring back real apartments? Could you also bring back newspapers (we should be able by family to decide whether to order them, and then pay a monthly fee). Please also bring back laptops that we can take places with our sims.

I would love to see a color wheel added to clothes and furniture. An attraction system, memories like in the sims 2. And others sims reacting to others moodlets. Also, if a child’s caretaker dies, please let us be able to put them up for adoption.

I want to see a variety of hobbies, and be able to use the things from the hobbies to sell, or give away if we want to.

I want to see cars return, with special Lots like a filling station/repair shop with a convenience store and a car wash. A great place to add the mechanic career and tinkering with cars, and teaching our teen sims how to drive. whoohoo, and fooling around should be added to cars as well. Again a color wheel and large variety of cars would be great. We should be able to make a car dealership if we have get to work, and please add a cash register that works rather than using tablets. Motorcycles, bikes, skates and skateboards could also be added.

Leisure vacations.... casinos, amusement parks, hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts, movie theatres, oceans sims can swim in, build sand castles, collect sea shells, get a sun tan or sun burn. Snowy vacations where sims can ski, tobaggin, sled, use snow boards, make snow angels, have snowball fights, cuddle up on a bearskin rug by a fire. Souvenir shops, skating rinks. Cruises....

I would love to see an elderly pack with bingo, needle point/crocheting, hand sewing ( they could make stuffed animals and dolls for grand children.) whittlng and such, maybe these things could be added to a hobby pack. I also want to see a useful rocking chair.

Oh, I forgot I want witches and a magic pack too!

Very well thought out. I agree and love your ideas!

First of all, I consider Seasons and University to be fundamentals. I don't think of them as "reruns", I think of them as aspects of the game that should have been included at launch that we're still waiting for.

Beyond that what I want is something with a lot more interactivity. Less surface, more substance. I want to be able to play tennis with my sims, or golf, but I actually want these activities to be interactive --unlike the half-baked bowling we got. I want surfing, or a casino, or driveable cars, or ballroom dancing, or anything else that gives us something to do with some depth to it.

I don't think we will ever see those included in the base game, but I agree they are 100% essential parts of the game for me. Towards the end of TS3 my favorite place to be was the university town as fall and winter passed by.

I feel like weather and outerwear is a fundamental, in the strictest sense of the word, but SEASONS itself isn't. we don't need festivals or anything to make the game more 'complete' as a base. You can include weather as a base, and add seasons later. But University doesn't feel like a core feature to me, idk, not every sim needs university and not all simmers use it either.

THIS. I would not have been opposed to having a weather system in the base game, with sims reacting to it and getting moodlets from it +outerwear. And then expanding on seasonal activities in a different larger pack, or giving us something new like natural disasters/ shelter gameplay. Honestly, we got all the food and festivals we could ever need in City Living so I'm hoping for something new with Seasons.

What I want is University and a School gamepack because kids and teens whole entire life evolve around education we never had an Education/School Day Game Pack that involves teen Sims can study for a scholarship more homework then just that notebook book thing. Have homework on computer like essays or write a paper. Grades also should be more effective like you failing no prom/ homecoming and no graduating take away driving privileges if/when we get cars. Kids should have more field trips and write about what happen on the field trip also kids should read a book and do book reports. Preteens/Middle school should be introduced they should also have field trips just not as much as kids and Teens would have some field trip but not so often as kids. Teens should be mentors like a big brother big sister program. The main thing have Freshmen Sophomore, etc under their name so we know what year and some what have know of what age they are.

I know we got Parenthood and that's supposed to be the "family" pack but I feel it's lacking still. Sims 3 Generations was probably my favourite pack, it added so much family related content and yeah Parenthood does that in some way but only for Children/Teens really. More interactions and activities for elders would be nice. Also an education pack with University that expands on all types of education? Like boarding school or kindergarten. If children get an A they can apply for private school or something?

Not really a need but cars would be nice to have again. The "Cars won't work in a closed world" argument doesn't work because Sims 2 wasn't open world. I'd like the interaction to fix up a car again like in sims 2 freetime.

I really want cars back. Even if all they did was pull out of the driveway and disappear that would be fine with me. Just having one in the driveway and hopping in/out on the way to/from work would be a big improvement to immersion. Repairing them would be nice too.

Try an emulator. No PS2 needed.

I wouldn't mind if they added some Bustin' Out features to TS4, though the gameplay was more linear.

I can agree. For me, Pets, Seasons (especially the activities) and Supernaturals were always important to me. Anything else is a fun bonus. So far, two out of the three have been crossed off, and I'm hoping they'll continue to make supernaturals in the form of fleshed out GPs. Anything else is exciting to see.

I like to see some familiarity--it's interesting for me to compare how it is to former editions--but I like new experiences and ideas. I've been pretty relaxed most of The Sims 4 so far--I was really craving Pets and Seasons...now they're here so...let the fun begin! :)
