EA won't accept my payment, as they always did in the past

There was a time when I was told that you couldn't purchase any Sims stuff on Google Chrome. You had to go under a different internet "setting". I tried purchasing the latest game pack and stuff pack, under Google Chrome but EA won't accept my payment. Can someone tell me which connection I need to use? Every time I try to pay for the purchase, it says "Something went wrong. Please try again". It won't take my payment, but EA charged me $1 for every time the error came up. I think that's really sucky.

I don't know what the problem you're having is, but I thought I'd just add that usually a $1 charge from any company is just a temporary charge meant for preauthorization and it won't stay on your statement.

Perhaps you could try using Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge or Firefox browsers instead. The dollar fee will be removed later on. As Cupid said, it is only temporarily there.
