    World and points giveaway (closed - winners announced)

    Hi everyone.

    I haven't been able to play sims3 or be active in the forums for a long time because of health reasons. I was finally able to play again this week and when I logged in I discovered I still have a lot of points left. I own all the store items so I would like to host a simple giveaway.



    1st Prize: 1 gold world (or 1 standard world plus points to equal a gold world)
    2nd Prize: 1000 points



    How to enter:
    *Tell me which world you would like to win and why
    or
    *Nominate someone you think would like to win a world and why you are nominating them



    This giveaway will end Sunday (April 29) 5:00pm AEST and I will randomly select the winners.

    Edit to add: the worlds that cannot be purchased with sim points, can only be purchased with real money, are not included in this giveaway I'm sorry. The worlds that can only be purchased with real money, and therefore not part of this giveaway, are Roaring Heights, Dragon Valley, Monte Vista, and Barnacle Bay.

      Oh, hi!
      I'm glad your health is better and that you're able to enjoy the sims again, so welcome back! and I hope everything keeps going well :smile:

      As for the giveaway, here it's my entry:

      Well, to be fair, I've been absent myself from the forums for some months and I'm still kinda new so I don't know many people, but for what I've gathered most of them already own all the store or all the worlds, Merelhyn seems to be lacking some worlds and it's working on completing sets as well, also they seem to be nice, so of course I'm nominating them :smile:


      I'm excited for this giveaway, it's the first time I participate in one! I hope more people can join as well :lol:
      By the way, @missy2311 I don't know if you saw my comment on the DD thread, but thank you for your lovely gifts! <3

      Ohhh what a lovely idea! You already gifted me the Movie Screen this morning and I'm thankful @missy2311.

      Thank you @Ziristha for your nomination! I'm missing some store worlds, that's true.
      If I win because of @Ziristha's nomination, I would like Lucky Palms standard version, because I already own the Lucky Simoleon Casino, and I'm working on the Go All In compilation. I've never build anything approaching a casino/entertainment centre before, but I'm always inspired by new worlds and new content. It's something I would think challenging and I like being challenged!
      Plus the world seems absolutely beautiful. And some of the items would go well with some of my current builds ("Contemporary Curtains by Dave" is like exactly what I'm missing for a flat I've nearly finished; and a triangular window… I would love a triangular window).

      I wanted to be sure I understand the rules though. I originally thought we were supposed to enter either for ourselves or nominate someone else. Is that correct or are we supposed to enter ourselves and also nominate someone else, lol? I don't want to be a killjoy, but I wasn't sure. :blush:
      I will enter myself until I find out and thanks for doing this! I know many will appreciate it.

      Which world you would like to win and why:
      I absolutely looooove Aurora Skies! The amazing waterfalls, the misty ponds, and the starry night sky are just beautiful and would make for some dramatic and gorgeous scenery. I would also be very excited to have one of those big, colorful hot air balloons! I always see them happily floating around Sunset Valley, but alas, they are out of my Sims' reach! Aurora Skies seems to have a little bit of everything and some pretty cool items too! I have had my eye on it for quite some time! Thanks again!

      ps. Thank you, missy2311, for the lovely gifts earlier today. Not sure if you saw my thank you in the Gifting Directory thread. So very sweet of you! :smiley:

      Omg, I'm such an clutz I didn't se the or between the options until you expressed your concerns! :lol: going by that, then it's obvios it's either of the options but not both.

      I edited my entry, I'm going to leave @Merelhyn as nominee since I'm just missing one world and I can wait to get it :smile:

      I understood it as a non-exclusive "or"? Like, we can enter ourselves but we can also enter someone else who may not think of checking the thread? I'll way for @missy2311's clarification before editing my post if necessary :)

      I'd like to nominate @Zinniavanilla, I learned she has no worlds yet, so I really hope she could get something :) personally I'd say Aurora Skies or Roaring Heights, they're my favourite store worlds that SimPoints can buy!

      Thank you for the giveaway! I would like Dragon Valley because it looks so beautiful and I love the medieval style of the world. The dragons look awesome too. I would love for my sims to have dragons for pets.
      Edit- if Dragon Valley isn't available, then I would love to win Midnight Hollow.

      Oh, don't feel like that, as I've said before I really didn't see the or so I just zeroed in on the * and took them as a list of what to do to enter the giveaway, I thought that our nominees would have more chances of wining or that in case we won, they would get for sure second place, something like that :lol: (honestly I felt kind of embarrassed I made such a mistake :confounded: )
      But this way actually does make sense, because if someone already owns all the worlds, they could actually enter and nominate someone else to win, so it's kinda nice :smile:

      Actually, I've been feeling lucky these past days, maybe it's my turn to give back in some way :blush:

      Oh yes, you could be right about that, it's been a while, so I'm not sure... At least Aurora Skies is really a SP world and it's lovely :)

      Also @Zinniavanilla, you could nominate someone if you wish, you don't necessarily have to, I think ;) I just saw this and as we spoke about this in the Ultimate World Building threat I thought I could just pick someone from the list haha!

      I would love to win a gold world or the store points, but the world would help my game so much more!

      I only recently installed TS3 again + the few expansion packs I bought with the pocket money I earned from selling pinecones/babysitting [after not playing it for years and years] and I would love to have a new world to explore.

      I would love either Aurora Skies or Hidden Springs! They're such beautiful worlds and my sims would love to live in them! The only other store world I have is Riverview and I don't have any of the expansions worlds except Isla Paradiso, Appaloosa Plains and Sims University so I'd love to expand my collection and my gameplay.

      Thanks so much for doing this! It's incredibly kind.

      I would like to win Lunar Lakes because it looks cool and different. :)
      Also because I never had a store world other than Riverview.

      I'm glad you're feeling better! I have a top-three choice of worlds I'd love to have, but lack the funds for purchase:
      Midnight Hollow- so I won't have to rely on Moonlight Falls constantly if I play vampires.
      Lucky Palms- have you seen the way the sunset looks on the water?!
      Roaring Heights- This world looks like fun, especially since it comes with a Build-A-Car. Lol!

      I would pick Sunlit Tides because It is sunny there and there is a lot of water that you can swim in.

      @Simiella Well, it took some effort, but after looking through your comments again, I figured out how you know me. Thanks for the thought, but I already have every world that I'm interested in. I don't have Lunar Lakes or Barnacle Bay, but I don't think I'd use them.

      You can't buy Roaring Heights with simpoints… I want that world too but the only way to buy it is with money.
