has anyone had a problem with granite falls not loading?

this has happened to me twice. I bought the outdoor retreat pack some time ago, and when I went to go to the world, it just stayed white. I wasn't able to do anything except access the options menu to take me back to the main menu, or quit the game. I could also save. I went onto the sims forum, and I was told to try loading it without mods. so I did. my save game would not load granite falls, but a new saved game would. with mods in, the new saved game could still load it. so then I was told to save ALL households and lots to my library, start a new game, and place everything in the new game. it worked, granite falls could be accessed... until just recently, it started doing the same thing as before. it's real bogus because I had done all that work just to recreate the world I had spent so much time on, just to have the problem occur again. I mean, the world is the only reason I bought the pack. I can't narrow down to see if a mod is causing the issue because new saved games work with the mods, and old saved games don't work whether the mods are there or not...

I contacted EA support, and they said a mod may be corrupting granite falls for some reason, and they told me to ask the community if they've also experienced this problem. like I said, I can't use the 50/50 method to narrow it down, so maybe someone here can offer me some insight, happen to know what mod causes this. I'm so frustrated at the fact that i'll have to go through that entire process of recreating my world all over again. and note that none of the other worlds get corrupted.

I am sorry that you are having this issue.
It may depend on the particular cc that you have used in the lots in the old save games where you can’t load Granite Falls.
You may be using different cc in those lots, than the cc you are using in the lots in the new save game.
I am just checking. Can you load Granite Falls in the old save game, after moving your whole mods folder to the desktop, clearing the cache files,

the "corruption" or whatever happens over time, not immediately after I put in the mods. when doing everything you said, the file with granite falls not loading still does not load it. when starting a new game, GF loads, and when placing the mods back, it still loads. if it's one specific item, I can't narrow it down because, again, the corruption is not instant.

It sounds like there is an issue with that particular save file, which may be hard to work out the cause.
I am sorry but you may need to either start a new save game, or not go to Granite Falls in that old save.

I'm sorry, I think you misunderstood me. like I said, if I start a new save file, everything's fine, but over time, I find that granite falls doesn't load. the save file is not the problem.

I am sorry that you have this issue occurring with your game Perhaps if you keep “ save as” versions of the game, you could go back to the version of the save game file where you could load Granite Falls.

Your could also try recovering an earlier version of your current save game to play, when the issue occurs. To do that , go to the main screen of sims 4, and click on the " load game " button.Click on your save game file picture. Then click on the " recover game " button down the right hand side bottom of the screen,. Press on an earlier version of the save game from the menu that pops up. Then load that save game version and see if Granite Fallls loads.

but I don't know when it corrupted, it probably happened ages ago, so I'd have no backup save of such a thing.

If you start a new save game file, perhaps you could keep saving back up copies of the save game, and place them on an external drive. Then if the game starts to have issues, you can go back to one of these saved copies.

I am sorry that you are having this issue
If you haven’t already done this, repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair
I don’t like suggesting this as it is a big download and can take a while, but uninstalling and reinstalling the game may help if the issue remains.
If you do decide to do that, make a backup copy of your sims 4 folder beforehand.
