Board Games and other group social activities.

«1
One thing I feel TS4 lacks is things for large or small groups of people to do when they get together. Not all my sims want to go out dancing every night. And I don't always want to stay home and watch a movie, or have a group of 4 play video games. Also, cards should be able to be played by more than two people. I think a board game concept would be a neat addition to the game. Not entirely sure how they'd create something like that, but something you could spread out on a table and possibly keep in your inventory. What other things would you like to see for groups of sims to do when they get together?

We have two game tables. One is Don't Wake The Llama and the other opens a pie menu for games. My sims don't sit and plat very long before leaving to do something more exciting like take out the garbage.

I'd like the poker table back so Dad or Mom can fleece their friends.

I would love to have the poker table back. And unlike that sims 3 casino, I'd like there to be a possibility of really losing some real money at a casino type venue one day.

I've posted about wanting a vacation location like Vegas or Monte Carlo where your sim goes to stay and be pampered in a fancy hotel and gambles and can see a show or eat at a free buffet table.

That would be awesome. I would definitely be into a pack like that.

Imagine your sim goes to Sim Vegas and gambles all their money away in one night. That morning the manager is banging on the door asking you to leave as now, you can't pay your bill. Then a bouncer type sim escorts your sim to the front door and tosses out their suitcase which explodes on impact and clothes go everywhere.

I tried to have a sim in TS3 visit the casino and lose a bunch of money, but instead he just made even more money. It was ridiculous.

    THIS!

I just purchased “Get Together” this weekend because I thought that it would all TONS of new gameplay to my game regarding group activities but there isn’t really anything exciting to do.

I think board games would be great! You could place them on the floor or on a table where a group of up to four sims can play at a time.

Also, we need another game console because I’m not buying “City Living” just for that. #sorrynotsorry

I can’t think of anymore group interactive activities at the moment.

How about a Sims Twister game.

@Dannydanbo I would love a Sims Twister game. I can just see my clumsy sims now...this idea brings me much joy.

I don't blame you, but I do enjoy City Living. It's not for everyone though. San Myshuno is the town where I have the most played families.

Oooh, Twister would be fun! But I imagine that the animations would be difficult for the devs construct.

    What about about jigsaw puzzles?

And they should bring back catch, I want my sims to be able to go outside and play catch with each other.

I think coffee tables should be usable as game tables. And games should be items that can be stored in your sims inventory.

$2 for a pack of cards, a budget game option.
$10 for a portable chess set.
$50 for simopoly (monopoly) or scribble (pictionary), or the core rule book for the pen and paper game 'There's a dragon in the dungeon!'

I tend to give my sims all the fun activities for them to do, the chess table, game table, foosball, video game system, etc. The only one the tend to use without me telling them is the gaming system.

I don't know what it is about electronic systems, but sim are innately drawn to them. It's irksome when you have someone visiting and all they wanna do is play games on your computer.

I put my computer in a room and lock the door for everyone but family to keep visitors out,

I generally do the same thing, unless the floorplan doesn't allow for a room to be closed off.

Sims can play cards in a group of 4. ;) Although they only play for like 2 seconds, because they have to pee or eat or do other sim things. :D
